The comparison between rock layer resistivity data and spectral values based on geological-hydrogeological maps was carried out to determine the relationship between aquifer conditions and humidity levels in the geothermal area to the continuity of the geothermal system in the Tompaso region. The data was processed using IP2WIN and ILWIS programs. The results showed that at the research site there were semi-confined aquifers and free aquifers, which were indicated by low resistivity values. It can be concluded that the aquifer in the North Langowan geothermal area was at a depth ranging from 0 m to 16 m with a thickness ranging from 3.98 to 12 m, moderate wetness, and has a good relationship in supporting the continuity of the Tompaso geothermal system.Indonesian title: Analisis akuifer, tingkat kelembaban dengan nilai resistivitas geolistrik, dan Index NDW di daerah panas bumi Langowan Utara","PeriodicalId":106687,"journal":{"name":"AQUATIC SCIENCE & MANAGEMENT","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134575359","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

On the other hand, tropical cyclones are one of the triggering factors for vertical stirring and upwelling that cause fertility of waters. The Sangihe Island area is not an effective area for the formation of tropical cyclones. However, due to its geographical location with a tropical cyclone area and trajectory, the potential for disturbances caused by cyclones is impactful on Sangihe Island. The distribution of wind speed, salinity, sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a concentration can be detected by satellite remote sensing imagery. This study aims to analyze the impact of Tropical Cyclone Amang on the variability of wind speed, salinity, sea surface temperature and on the concentration of chlorophyll-a in Sangihe Island. This study useswind speed, salinity, sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a data during the Amang Tropical Cyclone (January 6-27, 2019) from the AQUA-MODIS satellite imagery. The results show that the relationship between wind speed and chlorophyll-a concentration has impact on other parameters where both parameters showed a strong correlation value. It was also showed on the relationship between sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a.However, the relationship between salinity and chlorophyll-a concentration showed lowest effect among those parameters.Indonesian title: Dampak siklon tropis Amang terhadap variabilitas kecepatan angin, salinitas, suhu permukaan laut, dan hubungannya dengan klorofil-a di perairan laut Pulau Sangihe","PeriodicalId":106687,"journal":{"name":"AQUATIC SCIENCE & MANAGEMENT","volume":"507 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-10-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123420030","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It used method developed by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences Research Center for Oceanography (P2O LIPI). Method in determining the percentage for the coverage of mangrove communities used a hemispherical photography and the data analysis used ImageJ software in excel tabulation. The result showed that mangrove canopy coverage has decreased from 85.73% in 2017 to 84.14% in 2018. Since the observations in 2015, the percentage of mangroves had no significant change. In average the percentage increased as much as 3.45% from 75.09% in 2015 to 78.54% in 2016. Moreover, it increased again by 7.20% in 2017 (85.73%). It indicates that the average change percentage of mangroves is not significant, and it can be concluded that the mangrove ecosystem in this area does not degrade significantly and has a good growth rate. The average density value was 1254.3 trees per hectare in the period of 2016-2018 or it increased to about 16.5% since 2015. The number of species found at the observation site were 5 species (Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Bruguiera gymnorrhiza, Sonneratia alba, and Xylocarpus granatum) scattered in eight observation stations. There were two aims of this study. First, to investigate six sites within four locations with various degree of anthropogenic impact in order to understand the faunal richness and abundance in those locations. Second, to measure and record the environmental factors which are assumed to be important regulators of the observed patterns between the sites. The result showed that the highest faunal abundance (227 Faunal) was found at Frenchman Bay, a less anthropogenically impacted area, while the lowest abundance (26 Faunal) was at Oyster Harbour-Emu Point which was an anthropogenically affected site. However, in terms of faunal diversity, there was no significant difference among all sites. The environmental factor which had significant relationship with the difference in benthic faunal assemblages at each site was found to be coarse sand.Satu kegiatan penelitian pada tanggal 18 hingga 21 April 2017 telah dilakukan untuk membandingkan kumpulan fauna bentik di empat lokasi padang lamun di Albany (Pelabuhan Princess Royal, Pelabuhan Oyster, Teluk Two People, dan Teluk Frenchman).
