This study investigated the impact of the relationship among the learning style preferences of undergraduate accounting students, awareness of learning styles and their academic achievements. Participants of the study consisted of all the final year accounting students in UiTM Tapah. The results indicated that the students prefer kinesthetic learning modality, and for the rest of the modalities students found that they are generally well-balanced. The study found that there were significant awareness of learning styles among students particularly for the kinesthetic type of students. However, based on the test conducted, there was no significant correlation between the academic achievement and the learning style preferences of the students. There was also no significant relationship between learning styles and awareness of the learning styles. Nevertheless, school children who are transgender will still have to seek proper and fair schooling in their future. The purpose of this study is to identify and prepare transgender children for proper education on the basis of their gender identity and expression for those who is potentially becoming a transgender. The method adopted in the study was a qualitative approach by using a narrative literature review. As for the study, it was noticed that Malaysia is not yet in favour of promoting transgender children, notably in educational settings. During their school times, the majority of transgender people in Malaysia including children are found to suffer a greater challenge, persecution and bullied. This study involved respondents comprising of 225 first-year university students. The data were gathered from a set of adapted questionnaire, namely Personal Growth Initiative Scale-II (PGIS-II) to measure university students’ intentional process of personal growth and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) to measure their life satisfaction. Results showed that there were significant correlations among all four-construct of personal growth initiative and life satisfaction. The personal growth initiative was a significant predictor of which contributed 17.2% variance toward university students’ life satisfaction. The findings give implication that university students with planfulness, using resources, readiness to changes, and intentional behaviour were more likely to experience satisfaction with their life. These elements of intentional growth of university students enable them to guide themselves toward completing their academic life with satisfaction. Through a document analysis of the existing discourses regarding the genocide, the authors found that leading scholars in international politics recognized the failure of the international community in the prevention and mitigation of the conflict following the lack of international political will by the United Nations Security Council. They have recognized that each state has the moral responsibility and obligation to protect the human rights of all of humanity. Moreover, following the trend of decreasing global democracy, scholars have also warned us that more mass atrocities may happen with the rise of authoritarian leaders in this current juncture of our history. The artistic exhibitions can facilitate the factors of appreciation and understanding of visual art culture. Through the field of visual arts program, artworks and creation was inspired by the Department of Art and Design, Faculty of Art, Computers and Creative Industry (FSKIK) in collaboration with the Faculty of Design and Design (FSRD), Indonesian Institute of Cultural Arts, Bandung (ISBI). The ‘Dalam Bingkai’ Visual Art Exhibition associates the influence of internal sensible factors on the construction of an artwork. Art and cultural contribution programs are generated to achieve the field-sharing approach and mechanism. The objectivity towards this article sharing is due to the knowledge of the artistic delivery in preferring the style and gaining the experiences based on the artwork requirements. The article addresses the inquiries related to the fundamental aspect of visual art and the extension of artistic fundamental practice demands. The article is also based on an exploration of the pragmatic factors of the artwork construction. The quality of the visuals art argument of reflection related to the quality of the artwork that opens up the success of the impact upon the acceptance and attention. The understanding of the cultural sharing can be associated with logical thinking and the perception of awareness in the artwork making. The concept of visual practice is related to the factors of observation that need to be defined through the perception of the artist. The methodology relates to the artwork collection in exhibition space that indicates the content in presenting at UPSI Art Gallery. The appointed exhibition curators express the visual description into the reality of the artwork making. The observation processes promote the data based such as from field notes, interviews, photos and video recordings. The understanding of the elements and principles of visual arts technically meant as guidance. The duration of the exhibition was four (4) days aimed at the impact of the subject of ‘Dalam Bingkai’ meaning. The oil spill has polluted the rivers making it difficult to fish; the spills on farms have destroyed the crops leading to low yield and income, and this caused socioeconomic problems in these communities. The oil spill in these communities are peculiar as it occurs both on water and land unlike other spill in other countries occurring only on water. Literature shows that oil spill worldwide caused severe economic impact including loss of income, drop in share prices, loss of funds through clean-up and remediation, and payments for injurious harm to businesses and environment. The Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) theory and stakeholders’ theory are useful in this study. The international laws on oil spill compensation have not been adequate, hence compelling countries to invoke their national laws. Using mixed methods, the findings of the study show that the income of these communities was negatively affected and little or no compensation paid to the affected communities. Inadequate enforcement of oil spill laws in Nigeria coupled with lack of political will to strictly enforce these laws has been identified. The spill caused psychological trauma and stress, occupational displacement, decrease in income, poverty and diseases in these communities. There is a need to amend the international laws on oil spill covering both spill from ship and on land, and the urgent need for all related agencies in Nigeria to be active in their duties. Oleh yang demikian, kajian ini memfokuskan kepada peranan Kedai Rakyat 1 Malaysia (KR1M) yang merupakan kedai barangan berjenama persendirian kerajaan. Objektif kajian ini ialah mengenal pasti dimensi imej kedai yang mempengaruhi pengurusan kos sara hidup. Berdasarkan kajian literatur, peranan KR1M telah diterjemahkan sebagai imej kedai yang merangkumi dimensi barangan, persekitaran, perkhidmatan, kebolehcapaian, reputasi, promosi, fasiliti dan perkhidmatan selepas pembelian. Manakala, keputusan pembelian di KR1M diangkat sebagai pengurusan kos sara hidup. Model psikologi persekitaran iaitu Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) (Mehrabian,1974) telah dijadikan teori asas kepada kerangka kajian ini. Stimulusnya ialah imej kedai, pembeli barangan KR1M ialah organisma dan pengurusan kos sara hidup adalah respons. Sejumlah 330 borang soal selidik yang lengkap diisi oleh pembeli jenama persendirian di KR1M telah berjaya dikumpulkan secara pensampelan mudah di kalangan pembeli barangan KR1M sekitar Lembah Klang. Both the required knowledge and the skill set needed can be obtained from tertiary education at universities and higher institutions. However, it seems that graduates are lacking in that skill set, namely, soft skills. This paper is a systemic review on what soft skills employers value and yet are lacking among graduates and what are the roles of universities and the government pertaining to this issue. The findings have shown that the graduates are lacking soft skills that are highly valued by the employers. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti penguasaan kemahiran membaca Bahasa Melayu murid bukan penutur jati di Bintulu, Sarawak dengan memberikan fokus terhadap asas pembacaan Bahasa Melayu murid bukan penutur jati, tahap kefahaman membaca murid bukan penutur jati terhadap teks naratif dan strategi pengajaran yang dapat membantu murid bukan penutur jati untuk meningkatkan kemahiran membaca dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Melayu. Responden kajian terdiri daripada 10 orang murid bukan penutur jati di salah sebuah sekolah menengah luar bandar yang terletak di Bintulu, Sarawak. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif menerusi kaedah kajian kes. Pengutipan data menerusi kajian lapangan dengan menggunakan teknik temu bual dan teknik pemerhatian digunakan untuk proses mengutip data. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan terdapat masalah dalam diri murid bukan penutur jati ini untuk menguasai kemahiran membaca dalam Bahasa Melayu, misalnya salah membunyikan huruf-huruf tertentu, tidak memahami petikan naratif yang diberikan dan tidak mengetahui kepentingan kemahiran membaca Bahasa Melayu. Tujuh daripada sepuluh responden kurang menguasai asas bacaan dengan baik manakala dua daripada sepuluh responden tidak memahami petikan naratif yang diberikan. Selain itu, tiga daripada sepuluh responden menunjukkan mereka tidak pasti tentang kepentingan kemahiran membaca terhadap diri mereka. Pendekatan pengajaran berpusatkan murid merupakan satu kaedah yang dilihat dapat membantu meningkatkan potensi murid-murid bukan penutur jati yang mengalami masalah dalam kemahiran membaca. Proses integrasi semula ke dalam masyarakat umum bukanlah suatu proses yang mudah. Terdapat pelbagai cabaran yang perlu dihadapi oleh bekas banduan. Sekiranya mereka gagal dalam proses tersebut, kemungkinan bekas banduan akan terlibat semula dalam tingkah laku jenayah atau residivisme. Perkara ini menimbulkan kebimbangan terutamanya kepada agensi yang terlibat secara langsung dalam rehabilitasi banduan dan Orang DiParol (ODP). Pelaksanaan sistem parol di Malaysia pada tahun 2008 adalah antara usaha pihak kerajaan khususnya Jabatan Penjara dalam membantu ODP berjaya dalam proses integrasi semula. Kakitangan parol merupakan individu yang paling hampir dengan ODP dan bekas banduan selain keluarga. Oleh itu, kajian ini dilakukan untuk meneroka pandangan kakitangan parol tentang faktor risiko dinamik residivisme yang dihadapi oleh klien mereka. Kajian kualitatif ini melibatkan temu bual secara mendalam dengan 13 kakitangan parol Jabatan Penjara Malaysia. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa terdapat empat faktor risiko dinamik residivisme yang perlu diberi perhatian iaitu kegagalan mendapatkan pekerjaan, stigma dan sikap masyarakat yang ragu-ragu serta tertutup terhadap bekas banduan, faktor diri sendiri dan kesediaan untuk berubah, serta penolakan keluarga.
