The protection consists in randomizing, under the control of a chaotic circuit, of both the clock and the power supply voltage of a microcontroller. The results obtained by this double randomization are compared with the ones obtained with either clock or power supply randomization.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"28 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129803679","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The hybrid integrator, which is a combination of an analog integrator and a digital integrator, offers an increased dynamic range and helps make the resulting high-order sigma delta modulator stable. Special attention is paid to the use of truncated root-pulse in the practical engineering perspective. A comparison of several INF pulses with hM-1 and hM-3 pulses that suffer no spectral regrowth is made. Although they are outperformed by the hM pulses in terms of spectral regrowth, the pulses generated by INFs are superior in terms of error probability up to one order of magnitude when sampled with a time offset.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123198810","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For a better training of future electromechanical engineers, it is necessary to gain practical skills using specialized equipment during practical sessions. Using high voltage electrical equipment in the lab is not available. Therefore it is necessary to develop computer assisted learning processes. In this way students can simulate or assist maneuvers taking place in the real system. In this way, they can learn the hazards and damages that may occur as a result of wrong maneuvers. These procedures will enhance the quality of learning and teaching engineering.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"32 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115709345","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We selected for our experiments several SAT solvers that won medals at the last SAT competition and a solver that performed very well on the direct encoded SRHD-SGI instances used in the competition. We tested four encoding of SGI to SAT based on converting the original SGI instance into a PBC instance and then from PBC to SAT. We found that the most important properties of SAT encoded SRHD-SGI are preserved under all encodings and, therefore, we concluded that these properties are independent of the encoding scheme1.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"357 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122805824","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This mechatronic system implements a speed control loop of a hydraulic cylinder using a standard Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), a speed transducer of wired incremental encoder type and a proportional distributor that controls the oil flow in the cylinder. The system can be remotely controlled over RS485 and Ethernet interfaces using dedicated Windows software. The main application of this method is to determine the dimensions of a device required to compensate for beam wandering and scattering due to the air turbulences in FSO communications. The method uses color image analysis for automatic determination of the shape of the laser spot, which provides information about the spot area and the maximum amplitude of beam wandering. Results show that when the spot is photographed on a non-colored paper screen, the method is able to determine the laser spot shape accurately. Moreover, the method is robust to the variation of the screen background illumination.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123823308","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
