MMSE algorithm yields the best performance but its complexity is high. The advantage of the use of the neural network is that the neural network yields better performance than the LS algorithm and it is less complex than the MMSE algorithm1.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121304134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Causes of over voltage are usually switching, lightning and parallel resonance. The most dangerous of these reasons can be the parallel resonance. The parallel resonance occurs between system impedance and capacitors of reactive power compensation of electrical plant. Before an electrical plant (any factory) is connected to connection point of power line of electrical network, parallel resonance of connection point of power of power line must be determined previously to prevent parallel resonance. Otherwise, system impedance increases extremely during parallel resonance, and if current of system (50Hz) encounters high impedance during parallel resonance, high voltage occurs on electric network. So, total capacitor power should be less than the parallel resonance power. In this study, the application which related to determination of parallel resonance power was made by using PSO, and also effect of inertia weight on PSO was examined for this study. Thus parallel resonance power of low voltage electric network can be calculated and maximum capacitor of compensation system can be determined.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115117363","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

From the well known fact that, generally, in plain-images, any arbitrarily chosen pixels are strongly correlated with their adjacent ones (regardless of spatial orientation, i.e. either if they are diagonally, vertically or horizontally oriented); the bitwise XOR logical operator is applied between all pixels, on image's successive pairs of rows and columns; thus, featuring existing differences (i.e. in between the pairs) and implicitly, all edges within the image. Conducted experimental results demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach (e.g. it reduces the amount of data and filters out useless information, while preserving the most important structural properties of the image) and its effectiveness, relative to several other operators.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126134555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The first sequence performs an image fusion by simultaneously using two different analytical transformations to the image sources, thus obtaining two intermediate fused images. Thus, it follows a single and final fused image which exposes a superior and perceivable information obtained throughout the proposed method, comparing to the results achieved by a contemporan used process.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133458776","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The least squares methodology is used for wind speed profile calculation. The proposed model will be applied on the sets of measured data taken at three representative heights. Because the measurements heights are significantly lower than turbine hub height the method is needed in order to obtain a synthetic set of data at a desired height. The validation of the model show that pre-processing the measurement data using this tool ensure a better estimate of the vertical wind profile compared to existing analytical models for extrapolating wind speeds to higher heights at a site.","PeriodicalId":105698,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the International Conference on ELECTRONICS, COMPUTERS and ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE - ECAI-2013","volume":"33 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-06-27","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117263375","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Also, a visual operator interface program has been written in Qt- Creator environment which supports different operating systems so as to carry out remote control and tracking the mobile robot. The mobile robot which has a high ability of mobility such as turning around its own axis has an Acorn RISC Machine (ARM) based control board, a high definition moving camera and a moving arm on which there is Bomb Setup Disposal Weapon (AK-ER) to intervene bomb setup in need. In the study, ARM based control board has been programmed by transferring C++ based control software to device with File Transfer Protocol (FTP) after compiling the software with arm_linux_gcc compiler. In the system, User Datagram Protocol (UDP) has been used for communication between mobile robot and operator center and for robot control functions; Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) has been used for image transfer.
