In this study, we investigated how cordycepin regulates the phosphoprotein, including phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/Akt and p38, to inhibit platelet aggregation, which are concerned with fibrinogen binding to glycoprotein IIb/IIIa (IIb/3) and granule secretion in platelets. Our finding suggests that cordycepin inhibits collagen-induced platelet aggregation with 261.1 M of IC50 and also inhibits fibrinogen binding to IIb/3 by a suppression of PI3K/Akt phosphorylation in a dose dependent manner. In addition, cordycepin further showed to inhibit collagen-induced p38 phosphorylation, reducing granule secretion (i.e. ATPand serotonin-release) and thromboxane A2 (TXA2) production without regulating cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) and thromboxane A synthase (TXAS) activities, as well as phospholipase C-2 (PLC-2) phosphorylation. In conclusion, these results demonstrate that cordycepin-mediated antiplatelet effects were due to the inhibition of fibrinogen binding to IIb/3 via the suppression of PI3K/Akt phosphorylation and inhibition of granule secretion & TXA2 production by suppressing p38 phosphorylation. Subjects were 158 medical technologists. Using a sampling survey method, data was analyzed between July 2015 and December 2016. There was a negative correlation between educational level and economic preparation, but gender and monthly income did not reach retirement expectation level. Conversely, we found no change in the trends with respect to gender, monthly income; nonetheless, we observed that frustration gradually increased with age and working duration. In conclusion, our findings show that there are four factors that significantly influence retirement expectation and preparation: age, level of education, working duration, and family condition. This study used the United States Forces Korea Prescription form (Annex A-Over-The-Counter Prescription) and Alice Rich’s Pain scale with robax platinum, robaxacet including narproxen. The IBM SPSS statics version 24 was used to calculate the data. The combined methocarbamol 500 mg, acetaminophen 325 mg tablet, and ibuprofen 200 mg (or naproxen) tablet can work as well as the combined methocarbamol 500 mg tablet with acetaminophen 325 mg tablet with stretches. Both methods were successful in managing pain. {"title":"The Usefulness of Rapid Triple Test for Cardiac Marker in Forensic Paragnosis of Sudden Cardiac Death","authors":"C. To determine the cause of death, observation of the microscopic change in cardiac muscle tissue is suggested, rather than visual postmortem examination. However, this suggestion is time consuming to be applied in the field, is cost-ineffective, and is inconvenient. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to understand whether temporary inspection used to examine the cardiac marker (Myoglobin, CK-MB, cTn I) in postmortem blood via rapid cardiac triple test kit (which is used by clinics to diagnose patients with acute myocardial infarction) can effectively be utilized for the paragnosis of sudden, unnatural cardiac death. The results of postmortem examination and temporary investigation found that 23 groups (76.7%), among the 30 experimental groups, were assumed to be non-traumatic sudden cardiac deaths, which indicated a positive response (according to comparison with forensic autopsy); 4 groups, among the 10 control groups, were assumed to be cerebrovascular disease, which indicated a negative response; 1 group was assumed to be alcoholic and drug poisoning, indicating a positive response; and 1 group was assumed to be oxygen deficiency due to suffocation, indicating a positive response. Hence, it was found that the level of sensitivity and specificity of cardiac marker's temporary inspection showed significant result, 76.7% and 80% respectively. Given this, temporary inspection can be effectively used for the paragnosis of sudden cardiac death when the medical history, situation of the site, and postmortem interval are considered together.
