They represent approximately 1% of benign diseases of the biliary tract. 80% are diagnosed in children. There are many theories about its origin and pathogenesis, Babbitts theory, the “common channel” is the most widely accepted. Getting a correct diagnosis is essential, given the association between cysts and biliary complications such as cholangitis, biliary strictures, stones and malignancy. In the case of papers presented as poster, the total number was 3950 studies, 9 (0.227%)s were made by members of our association.
