El periodo analizado muestra la concentración de población en zonas urbanas, la disminución de la movilidad interna en términos relativos, el aumento de la internacional hasta 2008, y en el periodo más reciente la disminución de los flujos ruralurbanos, el aumento de la movilidad al interior de las zonas metropolitanas, una expulsión de población de las metrópolis y zonas metropolitanas, así como una constante dispersión poblacional en pequeños pueblos y ciudades medianas. También se subraya las tendencias en la movilidad por razones familiares, problemas de violencia y seguridad, así como ambientales. Finalmente, el periodo analizado es de particular interés para observar la relación entre tipo de migración y coyunturas económicas.</p></div><div><p>This article aims to present the trends of internal migration in Mexico since 1970 and its implications on the population distribution in the territory. The period analysed shows the concentration of population in urban areas, the decrease of internal mobility in relatives terms, the increase of the international migration until 2008, and in the recent period a decrease of rural to urban flows, the increase of the mobility inside metropolitan areas, an expulsion of population from metropolis and metropolitans areas, as well as a constant dispersion of population in small and medium villages. The article also highlights strong mobility for family reasons, violence and security issues, as well as environmental. Galbraith, reputed American economist and brilliant adviser of Varoufakis during the Greek crisis; Stuart Holland, important participant and defender of a confederate, social and democratic European project from the beginnings of the European construction. This authors show that the origins of the European crisis are deeper than what European leaders admit; and warn that the Eurozone has not been as successful as it waspromised by European leaders, but instead a pyramid of debts that have suffocated countries like Greece, Ireland, Portugal and Spain. The neoliberal and bureaucratic conception of the euro zone had some driving force behind bank lending, but these did not prevent the crisis from hitting Europe again. Many authors forecasted the euro would replace the dollar as the world's leading currency and, despite the fact that this has not happened, the euro's life is still short and the transition from one monetary regime to another could take several decades. In such a context, a comparative study between the dollar and the euro is carried out in four key areas: 1) Price stability, 2) Support in terms of output and trade, 3) Financial support, and 4) Network externalities. The evidence presented here suggests that the euro has been more stable that the dollar and is supported by the Eurozone's broad export platform. The dollar, however, has the advantage that the us economy is larger the Eurozone's economy and the us financial markets are much larger and deeper. Concerning network externalities, the body of statistical data shows that the dollar remains not only as the most important vehicle and reserve currency, but also as the prevalent currency in global financial intermediation.
