The reaction of these complexes and methylaluminoxane generated active species in heterogeneous ethylene polymerization. The absence of substituents at the orthoposition of the phenyl rings near the metal site was not compensated by the steric hindrance of the silica surface, negatively affecting the catalytic activity and the molar mass of the produced polymer. The catalyst C1, with the most bulkier ligand, presented the best performance, showing high catalytic activity not only in homogeneous system, but also in supported systems due to the chemical bond between the functionalized complex and the support surface, which led to polyethylene particles with good morphology, spherical tendency, filled pores and the decrease in bulk density compared to the particles produced through homogeneous catalyst.","PeriodicalId":9762,"journal":{"name":"Chemistry and Chemical Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78032989","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An expansion of the interlayer gallery of Zn/Al-LDH for the accommodation of clopyralid was observed from the powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) pattern, confirming the occurrence of intercalation. The results from Fourier transform infrared and elemental analysis were consistent with those from PXRD, thus supporting the intercalation of clopyralid. The thermal studies showed that the nanocomposite had better thermal stability compared to pristine clopyralid. Based on these data, the chemical formula of the nanocomposite was proposed as [Zn0.75Al0.25(OH)2][C5H2Cl2NCOO]0.250.67H2O, and the percentage loading of clopyralid in the interlayer gallery of Zn/Al-LDH was calculated to be 25.39 %. These characterisation results indicate a very promising future for this novel Zn/Al-LDH-CP nanocomposite.","PeriodicalId":9762,"journal":{"name":"Chemistry and Chemical Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"74265352","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

MD simulations of the structure and conformational dynamics of pyrene-labeled PAA for a varying dissociation degree (α) of the COOH group revealed that the attachment of pyrene dyes to PAA alters significantly its conformational behavior. At acidic pH (α = 0), the PAA chain collapsed into the random coil conformation, so that the two pyrene moieties formed the stable π-π stacking structure. However, at basic pH (α = 1), the PAA chain was expanded and stretched facing the pyrene dyes apart into aqueous solution.","PeriodicalId":9762,"journal":{"name":"Chemistry and Chemical Technology","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-20","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77298455","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
