These variations are used for the fault detection and diagnosis of new observations in terms of Q-statistic and Q-contribution plot.This PCA-based chiller sensor fault detection and diagnosis method was validated using the experimental test data of a centrifugal chiller.","PeriodicalId":9442,"journal":{"name":"Building Science","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84656687","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The influence of dimensions and location of the deflector on the magnitude of indoor air motion at various levels above the floor is discussed. It is observed that the availability of air movement at a working plane 0.4 m above the floor can be enhanced by 30 per cent using a pelmet type deflector (height and width equal to 1/4 and 1/6 of the window height respectively) on the inlet.
