Acute arrest of hemopoiesis (AAH) always manifests in pancytopenia and with supportive treatment or inducement removal, the AAH patients would show significant im-provement in blood routine for about a week. As a rapidly progressive and potentially life-threatening organ function disorder syndrome, multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) is often induced by many factors including infection, illness and injury. We received a rare case of scrub typhus rapidly presenting with AAH and MODS 2 weeks ago. The clinical data of a 32-year-old female with O. tsutsugamushi-induced AAH and MODS was summarized retrospectively and analyzed with a literature review. In this case, we selected tigecycline and moxifloxacin as treatment regimens for scrub typhus. When the potential infection was controlled, her pancytopenia and hepatic function rapidly improved in a few days.

Due to their scarcity and variable clinical presentation, early diagnosis is challenging. In this series, three cases of PCL from a single institution are described, which highlight the spectrum of presenting features and emphasize common principles. In the first case, a 73-year-old male who presented with dyspnea was found to have a 12.1 cm mass in the right ventricle. Biopsy via cardiac catheterization revealed diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL). He was treated with chemoimmunotherapy and survived for two months. The second case describes a 55-year-old female who presented with chest pain. Imaging revealed a 3.1 cm right atrial mass and bilateral pleural effusions, with cytology from the latter demonstrating DLBCL. She was lost to follow up after three cycles of chemoimmunotherapy. In the last case, an 80-year-old female presented with weakness. A 4.0 cm mass was discovered in the right atrium and the patient expired shortly after admission. Autopsy confirmed the diagnosis of DLBCL. It can be prevalent in women \u0000of reproductive age, particularly during pregnancy when it is often a \u0000contributory cause of maternal mortality. In our country Ethiopia, anemia \u0000prevalence is increased from 2011 to 2016 in all anemia categories. Even \u0000though scarce information is known about the problem in Ethiopia and studies \u0000related to the problem are not available at Debre Tabor comprehensive and \u0000specialized hospitals. Hence, we aimed to assess the prevalence and factors \u0000associated with anemia among pregnant women who are attending antenatal care at \u0000Debre Tabor Comprehensive and specialized hospitals. Methods: Institution-based cross-sectional study was conducted from October 15 to November 15, \u00002020, with a sample size of 232 pregnant women participants selected using a \u0000systematic random sampling method. Laboratory determination of hemoglobin level \u0000was done at Anti-natal care follow-up. The data was entered into Epi info \u0000Version 7.2 and exported to SPSSS version 23 for analysis. Descriptive \u0000statistics using frequency and other summary statistics were used to present the socio-demographic and clinical characteristics of \u0000women. Binary and multivariable logistic regression was done to identify \u0000factors associated with anemia using an odds ratio at 95% CI and p-value Result: The magnitude of anemia showed that 12.9% \u0000with 95% CI (9.4% - 17.7%). The mean age of the participants was 33 years with \u0000a range of 18 - 39 years.
