Nowadays more and more attention are put on the reform of teaching mode, such as MOOC, SPOC, Micro-Course and so on. These teaching modes have tremendous advantages over traditional teaching on facilitating the students’ study, enhancing their learning interest and broadening their horizons. However, the problem of lacking of platform support for the integration of these teaching models still exists. In order to solve this problem, this article propose a model of intelligent teaching system, named ITS for short. The ITS could be regarded as a platform or a system but also a new generation of innovation teaching environment, consisting of software platform and hardware devices. Compared with the traditional classroom teaching, the intelligent teaching system gives emphasis on virtual teaching online and offline, in and out of class. In terms of the definition listed above, this article presents a modeling and simulation of intelligent teaching system basing on agent technique, targeting all components concerned, such as knowledge base, network education system, intelligent teaching platform and some hardware devices. There are a number of factors that are associated with deviance and one of them is poverty. The socioeconomic status of a family affects virtually all the aspects of life in that family including physical, emotional, mental and the parental environment. It further contributes to the behaviour of both the parents and the children in the family. Irrespective of the fact that Homabay County is situated along the lake, majority of the residents languish in abject poverty and consequently there is rampant deviance among the secondary school students in Homabay County. Deviance has devastating effects which include destruction of learning facilities, early pregnancies, arrests and even deaths. The objective of the study was to evaluate the relationship between family socioeconomic status and deviant behaviour among secondary school students inHomabay County. The study adopted Structural Strain Theory by Robert Merton which provided a conceptual link between family socioeconomic status and deviant behaviour. The study adopted a correlational survey design and the target population included form two students from all the secondary schools in Homabay County, heads of guidance and counseling department, Deputy Principals, Principals and selected members of parents association. Out of the population of 20,160 students a representative sample of 512 students was randomly sampled. Principals, Deputies, PA representatives and HODs were purposively sampled. Instruments for data collection included questionnaires administered to measure family socioeconomic status and deviant behaviour, structured and unstructured interview schedules, focus group discussions and analysis of documents from the sampled schools. Instruments were then piloted. The validity of these instruments was ascertained through expert judgment and piloting while the reliability of the instruments was tested using the Split half method and the level of confidence was α ≤ 0.05. Data was analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. Due to the rapidly changing digital technological advances there has been debate in education on how we provide the skills and knowledge for students so that they become productive and valued members of society. When our current students are entering the work force many of the jobs that may be available have not yet been developed and this is why the platform of the curriculum area of Digital technology plays such a profound role in preparing our students for the future. The focus of the curriculum is to develop processes that enable students to enhance their problem solving skills and to work collaboratively. This skill based approach is in contrast to a purely knowledge based curriculum. At Rangeville State School I have developed a programme that lays the foundation for prep students to start developing those skills that are emphasised in the curriculum. Seventeen science teachers attended the professional development that embed dialogic conversation into teaching science-based inquiry. The instrument developed by previous reserachers was adapted to explore the science teachers’ use of the dialogic inquiry strategies prior and after their participations. This instrument consisted of 18 items with a Likert scale (alpha Cronbach = 0.79) and observe the strategies used in the stages of receiving information, and how teachers recognize and use the information collected about students’ thinking to develop dialogic inquiry. The overall results indicated that science teachers became more capable to develop dialogic inquiry strategies to interact with their students. Some strategies were highly developed at the receiving phase such as, writes down observations (M= 3.67), and interprets data (M=3.52), at the recognising phase (provide neutral responses M=3.41). However, strategies that indicate the use of students’ ideas to develop further inquiry did not exceed the moderate level (asking how/why questions (M=2.90). Science teachers also met with some difficulties to develop some strategies such as help the learners to come to an agreement upon an explanation (M=2.52). Studies suggest that interventions to attend distress in Latino patient population would benefit from including components that seek to improve patients' spiritual well-being. The purpose of this study is to identify the level of comprehension and acceptance of Meaning-Centered Psychotherapy (MCP) concepts. A mixed method design was conducted with in-depth interviews and open pilot data. A total of nine participants with advanced or metastatic cancer were sampled from an Oncology Clinic in the south of Puerto Rico. Six semi-structured interviews and six ethnographic notes with audiotape sessions were selected and transcribed. All material was analyzed, resulting in a sample of six semi-structured interview and six ethnographic note peer sessions. Patients showed low comprehension of the MCP concepts of meaning, the finite, and legacy. Patients showed low acceptance of death and its related concepts. They also reported high acceptance of integrating family members to their therapy. In order to tailor the intervention and improve comprehension, the content should include examples, shorter questions, and brief definitions. The major international cruise companies have entered the Chinese market, and the number of cruise tourists has also increased. However, the speed of China's cruise talent training is lagging behind the speed of industry development, and the quality of talents does not meet the requirements of enterprises. This paper analyzes the professional ability of the work position in the service department on board, and proposes six countermeasures to improve the English ability of cruise service-oriented students in China's higher vocational colleges: implementing the ability-based teaching philosophy, clarifying the professional English teaching objectives, and carrying out the use of ESP classroom teaching method, designing teaching plans and contents based on industry standards, clarifying the evaluation standards of the students’ English language ability, and training the competent professional English teachers. The emergence of “moral hazard” is bound to be accompanied by other risks. In fact, the third-party education evaluation agencies will “transfer” risks to the government in order to protect their own interests in the education evaluation. If the risks are solely taken by the government for a long period, the evaluation system will not work well. Introducing the “lock-in” in economics into education field, this paper attempts to clarify the reasons of the third-party education evaluation agencies locking the government and the reasons why the government is willing to be locked by the third-party education evaluation agencies. By using critical discourse analysis, this paper shows that costs and cognitive limitations are the main reasons for lock-in. Accordingly, measures are put forward from the third-party education evaluation agencies and the government, which, to a certain extent, can reduce the degree to which the government is locked in by the third-party education evaluation agencies in order to promote the education evaluation work. This requires excellent military physicians that have graduated from high altitude military medical training to serve people on the plateau. High altitude military medical undergraduates need to complete a variety of military medicine courses. High altitude military medical geography is an important subject in military medicine that focuses on the relationship between the high altitude geographical environment and the health and medical support of military members. Considering military medical geographic information is a key aspect before military actions. This article summarizes the experience of teaching a high altitude military medical geography program, which has produced Chinese military medical undergraduates with excellent theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Our teaching process includes the first and second class levels. The former comprises theoretical and practical courses, including investigations in the field, practice on the plateau, and practice with geographic information systems. During the first class level teaching process, theoretical knowledge was reorganized and combined into four modules. After moving to the second class level, which last for 2–3 years, students continue to develop their military medical geography expertise under the guidance of teachers in summer school.
