Administration of a non-opiate analogue of leu-enkephalin (NALE peptide: Phe-D-Ala-Gly-Phe-Leu-Arg, 100 μg/kg) on days 2-6 of the neonatal period decreased the severity of delayed posthypoxic myocardial reaction. The content of eNOS<sup>+</sup> cardiomyocytes and the total number of mast cells of these animals did not differ from the control parameters; the content of p53<sup>+</sup> cardiomyocytes was significantly lower than in animals exposed to intrauterine hypoxia. The cardioprotective activity of NALE was partially neutralized by co-administration with the NO synthase inhibitor (L-NAME, 50 mg/kg). Correction of the delayed posthypoxic changes, similar to the effects of NALE peptide, was observed after neonatal administration of its arginine-free analogue, G peptide (Phe-D-Ala-Gly-Phe-Leu-Gly; 100 μg/kg). Non-opiate analogues of leu-enkephalin NALE and G peptides can be considered as promising substances capable of preventing long-term cardiac consequences of intrauterine hypoxia.</p>","PeriodicalId":9331,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine","volume":" ","pages":"610-615"},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2024-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"142342069","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Synchronous measurements of the MCR parameters of the outer surface of the symmetrical areas of the tail base were carried out by laser Doppler flowmetry. The coefficients of asymmetry of the regression relationships between changes in perfusion of each of the observation sides and the initial perfusion values of both the eponymous and opposite observation sides, as well as the mean values and coefficients of perfusion variation of the studied areas, were analyzed. Injection of pyrogenal changed parameters of the asymmetry of the right-left hemodynamic balance of MCR in comparison with the initial values. One hour after the injection of pyrogenal, the contribution of the left MCR bed to the right-left hemodynamic balance increased, and the right one decreased. At the same time, the value of the perfusion variation coefficient decreased on the left and increased on the right. The shift of the hemodynamic balance towards the left MCR bed led to significant increase in blood supply to the left MCR pool after pyrogenal injection. The results of the studies indicate a stress type of reaction of the animal body to the injected drug.</p>","PeriodicalId":9331,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine","volume":" ","pages":"603-606"},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2024-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"142342062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the problem of increasing the effectiveness of in vitro fertilization remains open. Isolation of germ cells from animals is a necessary process for various experimental studies. Animal germ cells can be used in experiments to study physical, chemical, genetic, immunological, and microbiological factors affecting reproduction efficiency and for the development of techniques that increase the effectiveness of in vitro fertilization. All of the above determines the relevance of studying existing methods of oocyte and sperm isolation for experimental in vitro studies. Here we discuss the existing methods of sperm and oocyte isolation from animals and their advantages and disadvantages, and also substantiate priority methods for use.</p>","PeriodicalId":9331,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine","volume":" ","pages":"686-690"},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2024-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"142342066","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Myocardial fragments (trabeculae of the right atrial appendage) were obtained during coronary artery bypass surgery. The inotropic response of the trabeculae was assessed in an isometric mode. Stimulation of β<sub>1</sub>-and β<sub>2</sub>-AR with agonists was performed against the background of preliminary α-AR blockade. In case of preserved ejection fraction, significant inotropic response of the trabeculae (135 (112; 154)% from the initial contraction amplitude) was observed after β<sub>1</sub>-AR stimulation, while in reduced ejection fraction, its significant increase was observed after β<sub>1</sub>-AR stimulation (126 (112; 170)% from the initial contraction amplitude). In patients with preserved and reduced ejection fraction, the correlations between the inotropic responses of the trabeculae to β<sub>1</sub>-and β<sub>2</sub>-AR stimulation and echocardiography parameters were different. We performed synchronous MCR measurements of symmetrical areas of the head using laser Doppler flowmetry in 40 healthy volunteers (10 men and 10 women in each age group). Numerical values of stability markers (T1, T2, and ζ) and indicators of the right-left hemodynamic balance of the MCR (regression coefficients a1, a2, b1, b2) were obtained using the previously developed computational and experimental methods. The coefficients a2 and b2 that determine the contribution of the right MCR bed to the right-left hemodynamic balance were higher in elderly men than in young men, while in young and elderly women, no significant differences in the values of these coefficients were revealed. In young men, coefficients a2 and b2 were lower than in young women, while in elderly subjects, the sex differences in these coefficients were leveled. Young men have lower stability markers than women, while in elderly subjects, these stability markers were similar in men and women. No significant age and sex differences in the level of perfusion of the symmetrical temporal regions were found. The results attest to low stability of MCR in young men in comparison with young women and similar stability in old age, which, apparently, can be explained by the influence of sex hormones on the regulation of human cardiovascular functions.</p>","PeriodicalId":9331,"journal":{"name":"Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine","volume":" ","pages":"579-583"},"PeriodicalIF":0.9,"publicationDate":"2024-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"142342087","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"医学","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
