It integrates environmental, social, and economic factors with the aim of generating a positive net environmental balance. The green Solow growth model proposes that road infrastructure can enhance economic growth while improving environmental quality. This paper examines the relationship between transportation infrastructure and green economic growth in Malaysia, with the aim of ascertaining whether road transportation infrastructure has a role in sustaining economic growth. The study makes use of time series data over the period 1970-2021. This study employs the autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) model and the error correction model (ECM). The study analyses three models of the total road network and segregates them into federal roads and state roads. The findings show that there are negative long-run relationships between transportation infrastructure and green economic growth. The results also showed that Federal Road had a more negative impact on green economic growth. However, in the short run, only Federal Road shows a significant and negative impact on green economic growth. In Malaysia, the federal road is classified as a primary road extensively utilised by the populace for their routine activities. Thus, federal roads have the potential to generate a more immediate and substantial influence on sustained economic development in comparison to state roads. Nevertheless, road transportation infrastructure can also have adverse effects on the sustainability of long-term economic growth. This study sheds light on the importance of sustainable road development that balances economic growth and the preservation of the environment.","PeriodicalId":92980,"journal":{"name":"Advances in social sciences research journal","volume":"33 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140261037","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The perspective is guided by social exchange theory. It examines hospitality workers’ behaviour that has high levels of positive valence to be most influential for their work-life balance due to profitable relationships. We describe these theoretical principles and sub-principles concerning hospitality workers to build a research agenda to encourage future research. A response rate of 28% from food and beverage companies participated in the online survey via the web-based questionnaire design. The results indicate that family matters, time management, and personal health bring 60% of predictions for F&B workers’ work-life balance. Three predictors were positive and significantly affected the work-life balance, with personal health being the biggest influence, followed by family matters, and time management. Implications, limitations, and recommendations are also discussed at the end of this paper.","PeriodicalId":92980,"journal":{"name":"Advances in social sciences research journal","volume":"57 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140077840","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While scholars have demonstrated the positive correlation between GHRM practices and environmental outcomes, there remains a dearth of studies explicating the mediating roles played by green organizational culture and employee green behavior in this relationship. By proposing a comprehensive conceptualization of environmental performance, this study aims to unravel the intricate mechanisms through which GHRM practices exert their impact. The framework introduced not only bridges the existing gap in GHRM literature but also serves as a foundation for understanding the interconnected dynamics between GHRM, green organizational culture, employee behavior, and environmental performance. This conceptual research offers valuable insights that extend beyond theoretical considerations, providing practical implications for fostering sustainable practices, particularly in the context of emerging economies. It aligns economic goals with environmental objectives, thereby contributing to a holistic understanding of the interplay between human resource practices and environmental sustainability.","PeriodicalId":92980,"journal":{"name":"Advances in social sciences research journal","volume":"10 4","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140262382","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main purpose of this paper is to review the increasing number of studies on online grocery adoption in this area. Online groceries are used extensively throughout the world, but they are still relatively new in developing nations like Malaysia. Researchers have studied the use of online groceries extensively, but some factors influence their adoption. We retrieved scholarly articles on online grocery adoption published from 2015-2023 through the Scopus and Web of Science (WoS) database. After the screening process, some papers were excluded due to unmatched criteria. Therefore, 61 previous papers were reviewed concerning the adapted theories, methodology, and findings. Therefore, to close the gap, this study's goal is to give an in-depth review of the factors that influence consumers to adopt online grocery shopping through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a baseline model. This suggests in the future, e-grocery could be an important market for rapid commerce online shopping services. This paper is built upon a systematic literature review method. The significant result of this research will help online grocery service providers plan and increase customer intention to use their products to develop relevant strategies.","PeriodicalId":92980,"journal":{"name":"Advances in social sciences research journal","volume":"75 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140261380","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main causes of these deteriorating patterns could have been due to low-income levels, overspending, economic conditions as well as uncertainties that people are facing daily. In deliberating this issue further, this study has empirically examined factors affecting household savings in Malaysia. The analysis was based on time-series data gathered from World Bank Data and the Department of Statistics of Malaysia from 1970 until 2020. The time series regression analysis was used to examine the significant influence on the dependent variable, savings, by independent variables, which consist of income level, interest rate, and money supply. The findings from this study revealed that income level and money supply have significant positive influences on savings, while interest rate has an insignificant influence on savings. Through these findings, policymakers have to formulate a suitable policy that can cushion the impact of macroeconomic variables on the level of savings in the country.","PeriodicalId":92980,"journal":{"name":"Advances in social sciences research journal","volume":"2 8","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140261000","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, even though there is growing interest among academia and industry players in the concept of destination loyalty, our comprehension of the psychological factors influencing destination loyalty intention remains inadequate. Existing literature has not yet addressed the topic of education tourism in Norway. Therefore, this research explores the attributes of destination loyalty and the influence of perceived discrimination, acculturation strategies, psychological and sociocultural adaptation in elucidating international students' intention to exhibit loyalty in Norway. The theoretical framework draws on motivation theory (Crompton, 1979), acculturation theory (Berry, 1990; Berry, 1997), adaptation (Searle & Ward, 1990), and loyalty theory (Backman & Crompton, 1991), which have been adapted to include perceived discrimination as an additional exploratory variable. This study extends previous research on destination loyalty by investigating the impact of acculturation strategies on enhancing the relationship between travel-related attributes and loyalty. The study utilizes partial least squares (PLS) to examine the links between the variables. Based on a questionnaire survey of international students in Norway, the findings indicate that psychological adaptation and acculturation strategies have a positive impact on loyalty. The coefficient of determination (R2) reveals that the final structural model can account for 34% of the variance in international students’ loyalty behavior. These results highlight the importance for stakeholders in the education tourism industry to recognize the influence of acculturation strategies and psychological adaptation on travel loyalty. Understanding these factors can contribute to enhancing destination competitiveness in education tourism and ensuring its long-term sustainability. The study concludes by acknowledging its limitations and encouraging further research in this area.","PeriodicalId":92980,"journal":{"name":"Advances in social sciences research journal","volume":"39 6","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140262869","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The growing complexity of supply chain management underscores the necessity for acquiring new competencies to navigate these challenges. Furthermore, as businesses are compelled to enhance their practices with heightened awareness of environmental issues, the imperative for sustainable management becomes increasingly evident. Future business leaders or supply chain managers, particularly higher learning institution’s students, should be able to demonstrate the ability to navigate and harness the collective environmental intelligence within their supply networks, promoting the principles of environmental sustainability. This study aims to examine the impact of immersive learning (artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and gamification) towards education, in the context of understanding sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) practices and concepts. The study used a cross-sectional survey approach with a purposive sampling technique to collect data from 204 respondents. The findings of this study suggest that immersive learning techniques are significant and positive factors that contribute to SSCM education. The evidence presented suggests that artificial intelligence and gamification serve as transformative tools, enhancing students' comprehension of SSCM concepts and fostering a genuine interest in adopting more sustainable business practices. In essence, this research reinforces the indispensability of sustainable supply chain education in equipping future business leaders with the knowledge and skills required to navigate the complexities of contemporary SC management while championing environmental, economic, and social sustainability goals.","PeriodicalId":92980,"journal":{"name":"Advances in social sciences research journal","volume":"7 3","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2024-03-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"140077913","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
