Little research has been conducted on its impacts and reasons for the lack of appropriate countermeasures. This paper investigates the progress of the crisis and analyzes potential reasons for the emergence of unsatisfactory risk management. It gives advice for companies on how to cope with the situation best. In addition to the current situation, two past crises as well as the contrary strategies of two companies were examined with the aim of drawing sensible conclusions towards their strategies of managing risk. Modern methods with a strong focus on data-driven examination lead to one-dimensional approaches that are unable to reflect complex interrelations. The paper concludes that existing risk management systems are already set up in a comprehensive way and that the main issue lies within behavioral patterns of individuals who are either unable or unwilling to see existing risks. This leads to situations in which risks are identified, though concurrently ignored in subsequent decision-making processes.","PeriodicalId":91998,"journal":{"name":"American journal of information management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80580050","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We present data indicating that: (a) the Covid-19 pandemic increased the frequency of multicommunication;(b) university students multicommunicate in order to achieve instrumental, interpersonal, and identity goals;and (c) while some university students recognize that multicommunication increases the risks of communication failures, others do not. We offer some suggestions for educators who wish to include multicommunication concepts in their courses. We also suggest that business practitioners (and their managers) should consider instrumental, interpersonal, and identity objectives when they choose between face-to-face and electronically mediated interaction.","PeriodicalId":91998,"journal":{"name":"American journal of information management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87368797","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It would help in tackling the challenge of keeping the talent inside the organisation, attracting new talent, saving in recruitment costs, and preventing disruptions in customer service. Through an employer branding strategy, important objectives can be set for an organisation as an employer which all affect the image of the employer in the eyes of current and potential employees. The research was done as an action research case study. It focused on studying the reasons for the high turnover rates in the restaurant business, how better engage employees with establishing a new employer brand and correcting actions to decrease the turnover rate. The study was carried by utilizing exit interviews of leaving employees to discover the challenges in a case company, which operates in the UK.","PeriodicalId":91998,"journal":{"name":"American journal of information management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-10","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89726127","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Therefore, selecting the appropriate target market is crucial. On the other hand, it is extremely difficult to identify a proper target market due to the complexity of the problem having many attributes. Based on the 'directional policy' matrix, there are two critical parameters to select a proper target market. These are: ‘target market attractiveness’ and ‘own competitive strength’ in the market. But these two critical parameters have many objective and subjective variables. Some of these parameters can be measures such as target market size, annual growth rate, market share, distance, etc. while some of these are subjective aspects and cannot be measured such as product market conditions, tax regime, financial system, institutions, and infrastructure quality, etc. The difficulty is to compare these subjective parameters.","PeriodicalId":91998,"journal":{"name":"American journal of information management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81569855","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

[...]access to trained human resource personnel for mental health accommodations may not be prevalent. The oversight transitions from an academic support personnel to a manager or supervisor with minimum experience working with employees who suffer with anxiety or other mental health challenges. Since these students become emerging professionals, understanding these challenges are critical for their success in the workplace. According to a 2018 American Psychological Association survey, America's youngest adults (ages 15-21) are most likely of all generations to report poor mental health and more likely to seek professional help for mental health issues.","PeriodicalId":91998,"journal":{"name":"American journal of information management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-07-26","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75636500","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
