One of the many lessons that the COVID-19 pandemic provides is that no business can think of returning to the old ways. Every business large and small needs to develop better habits to survive downturns and succeed in pursuing the vision towards the future. Every business must have a bootstrapping plan not only for the start-up stage but also for the economic downturn and the recovery stages as well. The question, how to operate the business sustainably, so it can function in every economic climate, should be constantly on the mind of each entrepreneur. This pandemic will cause many businesses to fold, as we already experience it. On the other hand, as things will improve there will be many more rising opportunities ahead, especially in the online space. In this commentary, I recommend a few steps on how entrepreneurs should view the new post-COVID-19 business world.","PeriodicalId":91998,"journal":{"name":"American journal of information management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84948993","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model has been widely cited by policy makers, but it has also been widely criticized. In this paper we make an objective, external review of the model. We evaluate the outputs of the model, how they changed, and how they compared to actual results. The model was subject to frequent adjustment that resulted in wide swings back and forth. The errors associated with the model were high and actual results fell inside the model's reported 95% confidence interval far less than 95% of the time. Overall, we find the accuracy of the model was poor, and the model 's predictions were unrealistically precise.","PeriodicalId":91998,"journal":{"name":"American journal of information management","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81667088","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
