Knowledge on this subject comes from a few studies, and many of the suggested mechanisms are still hypothesized. Also imaging diagnostics (MRI) or EEG do not provide certain diagnostic guidelines. Also, causal treatment in some patients has not yet been established. In the last few years, we can see the development of many new cosmetic companies. In social media, we are faced with many advertisements for more and more new products available on the market. Often it is under the influence of external stimuli that we buy new cosmetics, which very often end up on our shelves and then into the trash. The minimalism trend educates consumers to be prudent about excessive consumerism. We lose money, stimulate the skin and contribute to environmental pollution. This case report details the management of a 26-year-old woman, who experienced a miscarriage at 16 weeks of gestation accompanied by persistent bleeding throughout her pregnancy. Following the miscarriage, she was presented to the hospital due to severe bleeding and anemia. Both the implication of diabetes mellitus (DM) in increasing the risk of COVID-19-associated respiratory complications, together with the claims about the involvement of acidic pH in exacerbating acute lung injury as well as SARS-CoV-2 invasion, growth, and replication, guided our interest towards possible efficacy of antidiabetic and anti-peptic ulcer medications in such condition.
