The author was recognized for his clinical leadership related to COVID and developed a bench of clinician leaders to continue the work at AMG. On the date of his retirement, he emailed his clinician leaders the following communication, sharing reflections on leadership and quality. The bishops and archbishops are appointed by the pope and oversee areas of various sizes called dioceses and archdioceses. Priests lead the parishes.
