It is prevalent in today's schools and is commonly found in secondary schools. It is a complicated social problem that can have serious negative implications for both bullies and victims, especially when the victim is physically or psychologically harmed. Therefore, the study examines bullying and academic performance, in a study of selected secondary school students in Alimosho local government area, Lagos, Nigeria. A survey method was utilized using the structured questionnaire as an instrument of data collection. Utilizing a multi-stage random sampling, three hundred and fifty questionnaires were administered to students in the four secondary schools. Quantitative data were analyzed utilizing the descriptive statistics with the aid of the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 23. The analysis of the questionnaire was based on descriptive analysis with the use of frequency counts and percentages. The study’s findings show a negative relationship between bullying and students’ academic performance. Result also shows that addiction to alcohol and loss of concentration is the major effect of bullying on students’ academic performance. This study recommends that teaching empathy and encouraging victims to make timely reports on the incidence of bullying are crucial to mitigating bullying and its consequences in secondary schools in Lagos state. \u0000 \u0000Received: 11 July 2022 / Accepted: 27 August 2022 / Published: 2 September 2022

Its general objective is to examine the effects of political thuggery or violence on electoral process with inferences from Nigeria; with specific objectives to i). Identify the implications of Political Thuggery to national security, and ii). proffer policy-based recommendations including implementation strategies to curbing the anomalies. The paper achieved its objectives by adopting qualitative descriptive method of analysis; its instruments of data collection included secondary sources --books, newspapers, journals, internet, and observations of the trend of political activities in Nigeria. For Indepth understanding of the discourse, the paper made extrapolations from three (3) relevant notions: the notions of Democratic Culture, Vested Interest, and Legitimation-crisis. In its investigation, relevant finding or outcome was made. The finding revealed that there is a positive correlation between Political Thuggery and Electoral Process --that is, the more political thuggery increases, the more electoral process anomalies increase too. The paper therefore concluded that, political thuggery has negative implications to national security. A few recommendations were proffered: 1. Salaries of political officers should be reduced to make political office less attractive, thus making politics no more a "do or die" affair; inter alia. \u0000 \u0000Received: 11 July 2022 / Accepted: 25 August 2022 / Published: 2 September 2022

In fact, the Chinese authority never explores concentration to admit and implement the western concept of the independent judiciary rather they have attempted to build a strong and independent adjudication system with unique Chinese characteristics. Hence, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has declared and implemented various reforms initiative and plays a momentous role to execute all reforms plan properly. This paper, largely, endeavors to address the understanding of judicial independence in China, ascertaining its glitches and deficiencies with the scheme of various rounds of reform policy as an extent of strengthening the impartial and independent adjudication system. There are several factors behind the rise of ISIS including; the political chaos in Iraq, which paved the way for ISIS to come up within the political struggle and conflict in the country. This is a clear indication that the Iraqi people need reconciliation and compromise more than any other time. The old sectarian tension between Sunnis and Shias in Iraq helped ISIS to capitalize anti-Shia rhetoric and sectarianize its war against Shia Militias in order to achieve the sympathy of the marginalized Sunni population. Meanwhile, some domestic, regional and international circumstances led to the fall of ISIS including lack of dependable allies, false claims and the threat of ISIS on Iraq and beyond pushed the international community to stand against the group. And they cooperated and collaborated with each other to form a coalition and this fact led to almost defeating ISIS in Iraq as a terrorist organization that held territory. \u0000 \u0000Received: 13 July 2022 / Accepted: 26 August 2022 / Published: 2 September 2022

Based on qualitative socio-anthropological work in reflection on the psychology of learning, it deals with the socio-anthropological factors that weaken the psychological well-being of teachers, regardless of the discipline, during the exams. The collection tools were individual interviews and the study took place at the Peleforo GON COULIBALY University of Korhogo from April 20 to June 30, 2021. It involved a total of 64 undergraduate students selected by the reasoned method. The results show that students who do not have family support or who do not come from a family with a health or educational culture succumb to the stress of exams and fall ill. According to some respondents, these illnesses are due to an unbalanced diet, lack of physical activity and sports, and insufficient rest during the exam period. Others suffer from the negative influence of spiritual forces in their environment. Also, it appears from the investigations that the failure of the psychological well-being of learners is linked to a lack of confidence in their skills. This crisis of self-confidence causes imbalances in their being; hence the need to introduce a personal development module (which can take into account stress and fear management) in the examination programs. \u0000 \u0000Received: 28 June 2022 / Accepted: 29 August 2022 / Published: 2 September 2022

This paper aims to clarify if the strategic planning pitfalls identified in the mid-90s still apply to today's reality. Also, to validate strategic planning's importance in society 5.0 while exploring its barriers from a dynamic capability’s perspective. A bibliometric analysis focused on strategic planning pitfalls and the use of indexed journals/citations to validate the study relevance. To achieve this purpose, this study performs a systematic literature review and content analysis of 68 articles from 37 journals. The main results of strategic planning research revealed: (1) The relevance of strategic planning in society 5.0, (2) the appliance of dynamic capabilities creating a defensive business model, and (3) the two essential dimensions which can impact most strategic planning, and (4) the new pitfalls in today’s context. Guided by dynamic capabilities theory, this paper seeks to promote insights related to the importance of strategic planning, adds value to the body of knowledge, and identifies contingency considerations that help explain the results on the relationship between strategic planning and the present context. \u0000 \u0000Received: 1 July 2022 / Accepted: 29 August 2022 / Published: 2 September 2022

It examines the readiness for self-directed learning of 209 young adults aged 17 to 19 years old as they transition from high school to post-secondary education. This quasi-experimental study uses action research led by five teachers to compare students’ readiness for self-directed learning with reading in two scenarios: an experimental group read in a self-directed learning environment outside classrooms and a comparison group read inside the classroom in a teacher-directed environment. It is part of a 3-year longitudinal research that observes policy discourse across multiple layers of institutional hierarchy. Quantitative analyses indicated some relationships between teacher-directed and self-directed learning in terms of increasing students reading avidity and decreasing students’ perception about their readiness for self-directed reading. The findings of this study have implications for researchers and teachers studying self-directed learning with reading for young learners. \u0000 \u0000Received: 21 June 2022 / Accepted: 28 August 2022 / Published: 2 September 2022

A multi-stage sampling technique was used to select 324 participants. They responded to the child abuse questionnaire, the Rosenberg self-esteem scale and the Adolescent Peer Relations Instrument. Findings revealed that self-esteem did not predict the three forms of bullying. The experience of physical and emotional childhood abuse predicted verbal, social and physical bullying, while sexual childhood abuse predicted social and physical bullying. Based on these results, it was recommended that parents should be conscious of corporal punishment and other activities that could lead or reflect as abuse and neglect on their children. \u0000 \u0000Received: 21 June 2022 / Accepted: 26 August 2022 / Published: 2 September 2022

As a result of qualitative research method through literature review and interviews which were used in collecting data from the teachers as participants, the results revealed that teachers from the sample size are aware of their retirement times. But this came with mixed perceptions of what to expect and the level of readiness differed, due to lack of informed guideline, including anything that prepares them for their retirement. Based on the above results, it can thus be recommended that the Department of Education in South Africa, should conduct yearly workshops to make teachers aware of what retirement entails. This will help teachers to prepare themselves in advance for retirement. \u0000 \u0000Received: 22 March 2022 / Accepted: 26 April 2022 / Published: 5 May 2022
