Non Functional Requirements (NFR) are key users’ requirements, because unlike functional requirements, which set out services expected by system, NFRs set out the constraints of the system and the process standards to be followed. Therefore, they play a key role in assessing the quality of MES. Quality Engineering is a new paradigm playing a crucial role in the European market of Services and Applications. In this field the assessment of Non Functional Requirements (NFRs) is underlined as an important step to have time-to-market products satisfying the quality and user needs. We aim to define a methodology and a representation of NFRs for assessment and traceability management. We have developed a scheme for representing critical NFRs, and applied it to the domains of MES for validation. Our approach extends the model for the representation of design rationale by making the evaluation goals explicit and providing the means to improve the quality of MES. Further research is how to relate NFRs to architectures.","PeriodicalId":89779,"journal":{"name":"International journal of computers in healthcare","volume":"12 11","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72368961","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the Department of Physics at UAEU we have introduced the course by using a coursemanagement software \"the Blackboard (BB)\". Besides putting the regular lecture power point slides and continuous communication with students through BB, we have established a very elaborate database of assignments for students to take at the end of each chapter. Using the embedded technology in BB, students are allowed to take the test more than once with varying questions so that the students learn in each trial of the test. In this paper, we present an accumulated data showing the effect of this method on the students’ learning, students'-instructor interaction, and we propose an optimum way of students’ assessment for courses of this size and type.","PeriodicalId":89779,"journal":{"name":"International journal of computers in healthcare","volume":"17 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86129505","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The ASL 5000 is a precise simulator of lung mechanics with possible settings of a large amount of intrapulmonary parameters. The ECS simulator can simulate gas diffusion from the lungs to the blood and vice versa, and computes blood pH, partial pressures of blood gases, oxygen saturation etc. This study describes a connection between these two simulators with regard to the optimal use of the properties of both simulators. This connection enables monitoring of lung mechanics and gas diffusion at the same time. The aim of the study is to describe the connection of the systems for the education of the practically oriented students.","PeriodicalId":89779,"journal":{"name":"International journal of computers in healthcare","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89123407","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In particular, the paper addresses the evidence-based aspects of occupational stress in technical university academics. The novelty of the online system is in multiple-choice approach considering both primary and secondary level stress interventions. The users have a possibility to get information about their own stress level and about the specific occupational stressors by using stress test (AcadOSI), to learn coping with stress by using digital teaching tools and sources of relevant information, and finally the users receive video-based instructions for better coping with most intensive sources of stress. In academic life it means the occupational stress management trough better workflow planning, personal work-life balance activities, evaluating the necessity of bureaucracy in university, enhancing relationships with students, peers and management, and working on constant professional development.","PeriodicalId":89779,"journal":{"name":"International journal of computers in healthcare","volume":"149 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79639028","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Additionally, choosing a vehicle route optimization method is complex, difficult and does not always yield the most practical approach. There is limited published information about a decision support system (DSS) that assists in selecting the appropriate route optimization algorithm. This study aims to design and develop a universal DSS framework that suggests effective route optimization method(s). The system consists of 21 optimization data items and four criteria that assess the available constraints and recommends the most suitable optimization method(s). The DSS prototype was validated by testing it on the available literature and observing if the suggested method by the system complies with that utilized by the researchers. It was found that the system was able to predict the method which is used in 73% of studies. Moreover, the system suggested an enhanced version of the methods used in 18% of studies. It could be concluded that the proposed framework can help to select the best algorithms in almost all existing scenarios that have been used during development. Therefore, it is recommended to use the framework for selecting the appropriate route optimization algorithm for MSW collection.","PeriodicalId":89779,"journal":{"name":"International journal of computers in healthcare","volume":"22 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73340718","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is proved that the effectiveness of this method depends only on the number of variables of the problem being solved. The main difference from the methods of implicit enumeration is in the ability to a priori predict, solving by the one of proposed methods any extreme problem with Boolean variables, the number of iterations, the running time, and the amount of RAM used. The results of experimental verification of the effectiveness of various versions of modular enumeration procedures and, on their basis, recommendations for the use of these algorithms are given.","PeriodicalId":89779,"journal":{"name":"International journal of computers in healthcare","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80877128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this manuscript, we propose a behavior-driven development method for microservice applications. The proposed method starts with writing end-to-end tests at the system or application level and then moves down to the microservice level, where component and unit tests are written. Next, code that passes these tests is developed one by one for each level. Once user stories are covered, our method loops again to integrate negative tests to achieve holistic testing for the microservices and the application. Finally, the proposed method is validated with an application with five microservices. Results confirm that the proposed method matches with the generally accepted test pyramid.","PeriodicalId":89779,"journal":{"name":"International journal of computers in healthcare","volume":"2 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-09","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81344670","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
