Lopes","doi":"10.1109/ITNG.2015.110","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/ITNG.2015.110","url":null,"abstract":"In this paper, the recognition information in aircraft images of Head-Up Display (HUD) was made using artificial neural network (ANN) and a correlation algorithm. During the flight tests, the images displayed on the HUD could be stored for later analysis. HUD images presents many aircraft data provided by its avionics system (e.g. Altitude, feet, time). Therefore, HUD images are a primary source of information for most aircraft and pilots, especially in military missions. At IPEV (Flight Test\" a Research Institute), the extraction of information from HUD images is performed manually, frame by frame, for later analysis. The big issue is that in one hour of flight test about 36,000 frames are generated. Therefore, data extraction becomes complex, time consuming and prone to failures. To reduce these problems, the IPEV developed an algorithm that load HUD images and then partitions the images in regions that were classified, recognized and converted into text by using ANN and a correlation algorithm. It provides monitoring activities for software project management. It involves the use of human, financial, and temporal resources during a project development, increasing the rate of its successful deliveries. In order to enable the Scrum adoption, the following four distinct steps were defined: infrastructure set up, team training, Scrum agile deployment, and deployment refinement. An analysis of its main results was obtained from the application of a survey to all project stakeholders. During the first semester of 2014, at the Brazilian Aeronautics Institute of Technology (Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica -- ITA), a successful Interdisciplinary Problem Based Learning (IPBL) experience took place. At that time, almost 60 graduate students from three different courses (CE-229 Software Testing, CE-240 Database System Project, and CE-245 Information Technologies), within just 17 academic weeks, had the opportunity to conceptualize, model, and develop a system prototype to capture, store, and analyze credit card transactions. This system, named BDIT-C2 (Big Data, Internet of Things, and Credit Cards), has used an Application Programing Interface to enable communication devices to make purchases, allowing e-commerce through a web portal where fraud analysts could monitor all suspicious transactions.","PeriodicalId":89615,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the ... Based on this model, it was presented the theoretical asymptotic limit, for infinite deliveries during the project. This practice is called Continuous Deployment (CD), already used by many companies such as Google and Facebook. As financial evaluation measuring, it was used the Net Present Value (NPV). It was also measured how the use of incremental deliveries can create additional NPV for software projects which have short duration (maximum of six months), median duration (one year) and long duration (two years). However, by having a public infrastructure, subject to attacks, security issues have become indispensable and challenging. To ensure the security of these applications, some safety specifications are generally used, such as the XML signature, XML encryption and WS-Security specifications. However, the application of these specifications may degrade the performance of these systems, especially the specification responsible for encryption, the XML encryption. Currently, there is no consensus in literature of the best approach to deploy agile testing. The testing management is often one of the hardest steps to be adapted to these methods, due to the short time for deliveries, which reduces the time available for testing, as a result, it is usually relegated to the background. To tackle this problem, industry has to some extent migrated legacy systems to the Service Oriented Architectures (SOA). Issues such as the time needed to plan and execute the migration as well as the complexity and risks of this decision are challenges to be faced in such cases. This paper presents a decision process to select a methodology to migrate legacy systems to SOA considering the organization profile. The decision process considers characteristics of the organization, its legacy systems and the new architecture to be implemented. A fieldwork was conducted to characterize the execution of the decision process in a Brazilian public company.
