However, safety and effectiveness can vary substantially among different subgroups of a target population according to both intrinsic and extrinsic factors, such as age, sex, gender, race, ethnicity, lifestyle, and location. Moreover, some groups continue to be inconsistently included in clinical trials based on their representation in the total afflicted population, which demands serious resolution. From literature review, this article imparts several possible strategies to overcome obstacles in clinical trial access and enrichment.","PeriodicalId":88226,"journal":{"name":"Chance (New York, N.Y.)","volume":"17 1","pages":"9 - 13"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87717805","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To help students connect the course content and practical skills, we first had to identify the primary audience for each course and the careers those in the classes may seek. Incorporating workforce development skills into course curricula is crucial for preparing students for success in their future careers. These skills, such as independent learning, teamwork, and communication, are highly valued by employers and essential for success in today’s rapidly changing job market.","PeriodicalId":88226,"journal":{"name":"Chance (New York, N.Y.)","volume":"19 1","pages":"39 - 44"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86899618","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The history of statistics also has an extra dimension: It provides documented insight into how new and useful statistical ideas are generated. Histories are lost as the cultural zeitgeist changes and collective memory decays. This column will bring back a few of these lost stories of individuals who have been more or less forgotten, but whose ideas have had a profound influence on the daily lives of thousands, if not millions, of people. And of course, the way we practice statistics today. The History Chronicles is a new feature edited by Penelope Susan \"Pen\" Reynolds and Chaitra Nagaraja.","PeriodicalId":88226,"journal":{"name":"Chance (New York, N.Y.)","volume":"3 1","pages":"34 - 36"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-04-03","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82427103","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
