Among mycobacteria, which are also capable of forming biofilms, there are pathogens of socially dangerous infections, including tuberculosis. Basing on these data, the strains of Mycolicibacterium smegmatis mc2 155 were chosen as the objects of this study, including the parent strain without deletions and its mutants with one (ΔrelMsm) and double (ΔrelMsmΔrelZ) chromosomal deletions of the genes responsible for the synthesis of alarmone synthetase enzymes. Biofilms of mutant strains exhibited defects in biofilm formation. We have shown that the integrity, hydrophobicity, and the level of biomass of surface mycobacterial biofilms are dependent on the amount of glycopeptidolipids (GPL) in cells. The level of GPL depends on the activity of alarmone synthetases. The biogenic polyamine spermine is able to enhance the production of GPLs, restoring the integrity of biofilms of mutant strains. It is possible that this effect of spermine is caused by the influence on the activity of mycobacterial alarmone synthetases, which makes promising the further studying the molecular mechanisms of its action.","PeriodicalId":8805,"journal":{"name":"BIO Web of Conferences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75009413","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this work, we developed a new composite material based on poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) and zinc oxide nanoparticles. The resulting material had a smooth surface without microdefects. The polymer matrix did not affect the generation of reactive oxygen species, 8-oxoguanine, and long-lived protein forms. The addition of ZnO-NPs enhanced the generation of these compounds. The addition of ZnO-NPs to the polymer at a concentration of 0.001-0.1 wt% made it possible to achieve a significant bacteriostatic effect, while not affecting the growth, division, and viability of eukaryotic cells. The resulting composite material is of great interest for biomedical use and the food industry due to controlled biodegradability and antibacterial activity.","PeriodicalId":8805,"journal":{"name":"BIO Web of Conferences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75079741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The next places are occupied by black and red nightshades and eggplant. The mite can press both the upper and lower sides of the plant leaves. First, the lower leaves and branches of the plant begin to be damaged. It gradually spreads upwards. The affected branch becomes smooth with a brown color, yellow spots appear on the leaves, and the general color begins to turn brown. Infected flowers and small fruit buds and leaves dry up and fall off, large fruits have a web-like pattern and crack. In this article, the species composition, distribution, damage to plants and bioecology of the pest are covered in this article. The development characteristics of the russet mite by plant are presented, in which tomato, potato, and eggplant plants are the most common tomato russet mite in the analysis based on the table. In addition, the results of the research on the effect of the tomato russet mite on productivity in different growth periods are highlighted.","PeriodicalId":8805,"journal":{"name":"BIO Web of Conferences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72685534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time, it is necessary to search for new approaches to the weed control problem, which involves solving a number of issues: determining and analyzing the floral composition of weeds with constant monitoring of contamination to make forecasts and make operational decisions. This work is devoted to the study of these issues. It reveals the features of winter wheat agrophytocenosis formation with the analysis of weed species composition, and shows the effectiveness of the use of herbicides recommended on the basis of mapping. The biological efficiency of the spray mixture of herbicides Verdict + Dinat was 84.1% (by the number of weeds) and 94.9% (by air-dry weight). The agronomic effectiveness of herbicides was expressed in obtaining an increase in yield of 2.67 t/ha, and the profitability level was above the threshold of economic feasibility of the weed management and amounted to 141.8%.","PeriodicalId":8805,"journal":{"name":"BIO Web of Conferences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77475837","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A number of government regulations established a cruel special regime. Settlers scattered in small groups from Kyrgyzstan to Kazakhstan did not have the opportunity to keep in touch with each other. In order to survive physically and morally, the settlers had to prove their innocence every minute of their existence. Since it takes a certain time for immune cells to recognize tumor cells to make an appropriate response, a model of tumor-immune system interaction with time delay is established by considering time delay in this process. The four equilibrium points are solved by simplifying the model using Taylor expansion with a small time delay. Then the stability of each equilibrium point of the system under a small time delay is determined by calculating the characteristic roots of each equilibrium point with numerical simulation software. The results show that the system has a bistability phenomenon. The saddle point and stable node are not affected by the delay, while only the stability of the stable foci changes with the time delay with Hopf bifurcation. This study can help determine the optimal time for tumor treatment and provide a reference for analyzing tumor status and treatment.","PeriodicalId":8805,"journal":{"name":"BIO Web of Conferences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80280490","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this study, ICG-COOH-TK was obtained by connecting ICG molecules through stimulus-responsive thioketone (TK) bond, which can self-assemble into nanoparticles in water. Under 808 nm near-infrared light irradiation, the molecule exhibited excellent photothermal conversion efficiency, as well as better photostability and in vivo circulation stability than free ICG. The nanoparticle can respond to reactive oxygen species (ROS) overexpression in the tumor microenvironment and release ICG upon disassembly, resulting in significantly enhanced fluorescence emission at the tumor. In vitro cell experiments demonstrated excellent biocompatibility and photothermal killing effect on cancer cells, indicating that this molecule can serve as a diagnostic and therapeutic agent for fluorescence-guided tumor photothermal therapy.","PeriodicalId":8805,"journal":{"name":"BIO Web of Conferences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81639067","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Biostimulants can play an important role in reducing the negative effects of climate change; that’s why this experiment was set up in order to test two new foliar biostimulants (protein hydrolysates of plant origin). The field experiment was carried out in 2017 and 2018 in Oltrepo pavese area (Lombardia region, northwest Italy, 270 m asl), on a six-year-old vineyard of V. vinifera L. cv. Merlot clone 181 grafted on Gravesac, Guyot trellis, 4,000 vines/ha and not irrigated. Two new protein hydrolysates of plant origin were sprayed twice, just after fruit set and 15 days later, by using 2.5 L/ha. Leaf proteomics and metabolomics were studied in 2017, while productive and qualitative data were recorded in both years at harvest (September 1st, 2017 and August 28th 2018). The most significant findings were: (a) the treatments slowed down the grape ripening, by stimulating vegetative activity and reducing sugar accumulation; (b) less heat and drought stress symptoms were observed in the canopies of treated vines, as compared to the control ones.","PeriodicalId":8805,"journal":{"name":"BIO Web of Conferences","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85090552","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
