{"title":"[Morphological criteria of early embryonal histogenesis exemplified by the development of the auxiliary ocular apparatus in humans].","authors":"A I Brusilovskiĭ, E Iu Shapovalova","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"

In 50 human embryos at the age of 21 days--12 weeks of development, including the stages X-XXIII and beginning of the fetal period according to Carnegie's classification, spatial-temporal regularities on rearrangement of cellular material in the mesenchymal derivatives of the ocular auxiliary apparatus have been investigated. The main attention has been paid to ascertain the moments, when the first signs of differences appear in the previously homogenous cellular material of the differentiating mesenchyme around the ocular cup and in the eyelids, taking into account appearance of derivates in the ocular auxiliary apparatus: sclera, oculomotor muscles, stroma of the lacrimal gland, cartilagenous laminae in the eyelids and in the orbicular muscle. Regularities of cytochemical differentiation of the mesenchyme and its derivatives have been studied, taking into account the organ's changing topography. Morphometrical investigations of cells in the anlages mentioned are expanded and correlated with the time of their cytochemical differentiation. Correlation of the morphometrical and cytochemical data with the histological investigations has been performed.
","PeriodicalId":8379,"journal":{"name":"Arkhiv anatomii, gistologii i embriologii","volume":"100 6","pages":"34-40"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"12891251","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A certain regularity between enlargement of the teeth size, increasing angle of the lower jaw and decreasing size of the longitudinal and expressive dimensions of the jaws (in accordance with decreasing size of the spongy substance and its cells) has been revealed. It is accompanied with increasing caries and vice versa within all the groups studied. There are certain borders for individual variants in every group (race, sex, wide-, middle- and ++steno-osseous). The morphotypes of the maxillo-dental system revealed are constitutional. Histochemical reactions for adenosinetriphosphatase (ATPase) (incubational medium pH 4.3 and 10.3) and for acetylcholinesterase (AChE) are performed. The muscle, stimulated in situ, preserves its normal structure. Transformation of muscle contractions from fast to slow, as well as increasing AChE activity in myoneural synapses are revealed. {"title":"[The structure and nature of the macrophages participating in Wallerian degeneration of nerve fibers].","authors":"E I Chumasov, K M Svetikova","doi":"","DOIUrl":"","url":null,"abstract":"

The nervus ischiadicus in white noninbred rats has been damaged by various means and then light- and electron-microscopically the sources of origin of macrophages, participating in removal of decay products in the distal part of the nerve have been studied. There is a close correlation between the process of Wallerian degeneration and aseptic inflammation. In the area of decay of the myelinated nervous fibers 4 types of cells have been identified and characterized. Three of them are precursors of macrophages, participating in removal of the myelin decay products: mononuclear cells of hematogenic origin, perineural cells, endoneural fibroblasts. The dynamics of these cells transformation into macrophages and into \"foam cells\" has been followed. The fourth type--Schwann cells; they do not directly participate in removal of the myelin decay products. They do not die, but, separating from the segments of the disintegrated myelin, dedifferentiate, proliferate and form cords, into which regenerating axons then grow in. To understand the role of various macrophages in the destructive and reparative processes, which develop in the nerves, is very important not only for searching definitive approaches in treatment of posttraumatic demyelinated processes, but for comprehending the mechanisms of certain autoimmune demyelinating diseases.
","PeriodicalId":8379,"journal":{"name":"Arkhiv anatomii, gistologii i embriologii","volume":"100 5","pages":"13-21"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1991-05-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"12960616","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Certain changes of the degree in organization and structural-functional integration have been revealed; they demonstrate periodicity of the morphological changes of the vasculo-neural complex of the extra- and intrafusal part of the muscular tissue. In the neuromuscular spindles the microvascular network of capillaries is formed, their volumetric part changes in the process of development in greater degree than the microvascular bed of the extrafusal muscular fibers. In formation of the microcirculatory vascular bed of the neuromuscular spindles not only capillaries, getting into them together with nervous fibers, but also microvessels of the surrounding muscle tissue participate.
