In this context, the basic question remains whether language represents reality or, on the contrary, constitutes it. In order to answer this question, the study examines the border as a phenomenon. If we consider the border as nothing more than a limit, then the world within the boundaries of language appears to be something constructed only by language. If we presume that the border is a field of communication between reality and the subject, then the understanding should include elements of subjectivity, as well as reality itself. This could be the main statement of dialectical symbolism.","PeriodicalId":81110,"journal":{"name":"Diogenes","volume":"37 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82187092","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Particular attention is paid to the invective and obscene vocabulary, considered in the criminal law aspect, as the most common manifestation of the humiliating attitude towards the addressee of the offence. It caused a number of problems and issues from physical, mental, ethical, philosophical, legal, religious nature. The individual functioning turned out to be in condition of emergency and crisis with increased risk to human health and life. The current situation has given rise to the feeling of mass polytraumatism with characteristics of objectless horror and control loss. The present study refers to 34 cases of patients in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, where the objective reality changed the picture of the therapeutic dynamics. It created an experience of changed identity, „awakened“ intense transference „answers“ and to some extent modified the course of the sought and planned change. The results showed a severely increased free-floating anxiety, ready to conjoin with specific content and ideas, as well as high depression associated with regressive movements to early-object interactions.","PeriodicalId":81110,"journal":{"name":"Diogenes","volume":"42 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77811274","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A total of 805 respondents aged 18–70 years from Bulgaria and Hungary completed the online version of the two-dimensional measure – dubbed the Dutch Workaholism Scale (DUWaS). The research aimed to reveal differences in the state and modifications of this phenomenon during a pandemic situation. The obtained results were processed with SPSS-25. The data analysis shows that in conditions of a pandemic, the socio-economic context is the one that causes the significant differences between Bulgarians and Hungarians in relation to the Excessive (WE) and Compulsive workaholism (WC) levels.","PeriodicalId":81110,"journal":{"name":"Diogenes","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75285341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Modern methods of containing pandemics are more behavioral and educational – psychological factors play a role in their success. Previous pandemics such as the Spanish flu, the swine flu and SARS have had effects on mental stress and disorders. Personality characteristics give a clearer look at vulnerability to stressors – people with high scores of negative emotionality (neuroticism) will face serious difficulties during pandemics. The different personality traits are relevant to our understanding of pandemic-related anxieties and sufferings, and the psychological effect of pandemics may be more pronounced, more widespread, and more lasting than the pure somatic effect of the infection.","PeriodicalId":81110,"journal":{"name":"Diogenes","volume":"64 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76946480","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The Relations characteristics category includes the Characteristic of Conscientiousness, Support, Tenderness, Leadership and Connection. The Emotional Management characteristics category includes the characteristic of Emotion, Joy, Balance, Healing and Acceptance. The informatization of the social environment is not an isolated phenomenon – it is interpreted as one of the functional characteristics of modern society. Although the „child-to-media environment“ relationship has been the subject of numerous studies, it is still attracting scientific interest. This interest is focused mainly on the specifics of the development of the modern child. Defining the multimedia environment as mediating individual socialization focuses on the multimodal functioning of new technologies. Taking into account this fact requires a new type of organization of the educational environment, aimed at the early development of multiliteracy for orientation in the processes of information and communication in the changing world.","PeriodicalId":81110,"journal":{"name":"Diogenes","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90047692","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
