The H<sup>−</sup> dissociation channel exhibits site selectivite behaviour. The anion signal originating from the O–H bond cleavage peaks at 6.5 eV and 8 eV, whereas the signal corresponding to the C–H site peaks at 9.5 eV. The momentum images indicate the two-body dissociation dynamics for the O–H site break-up. We explain the highly anisotropic angular distribution of hydride anions from this channel at 6.5 eV as due to the effect of the torsional vibration modes of the parent molecule and the substantial contribution from the parent molecule’s gauche conformers present at room temperature. In contrast, C–H site dissociation arises from many-body breakup, consistent with earlier reports of DEA dynamics in organic molecules. We observed a resonance at 9.3 eV in the OH<sup>−</sup> channel, characterized by a low kinetic energy release. Through isotopic substitution, we show that H atom scrambling plays a role in C–O bond dissociation, leading to the OH<sup>−</sup> channel. The dynamics of this channel deviate substantially from the corresponding photodissociation dynamics.</p><h3>Graphical abstract</h3>\u0000<div><figure><div><div><picture><source><img></source></picture></div><div><p>Dissociation dynamics of ethanol on electron attachment</p></div></div></figure></div></div>","PeriodicalId":789,"journal":{"name":"The European Physical Journal D","volume":"80 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2026-07-16","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148466137","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This work also aims to determine where and how LC affects its properties. MAOUD-37, the software for material properties, is used to simulate this work. QDs of different radii <span>((11- 23 text{n}text{m}))</span> are examined in the study. In the conduction band (CB), energy states are far apart, but they approach each other with increasing quantum dot (QD) radius. In the valence band (VB), at and beyond long QD radius <span>((21 text{n}text{m}))</span>, the QD states cross each other, and except for the first VB state, the others are marginalized, leaving only two states. This is attributed to reduced quantum confinement as size increases. For the interband transition energy between the first three QD states, the curves exhibit jumps as the energy difference between the QD states decreases with increasing radius. The interband transition energy is also studied. The curves jump because the energy difference between QD states decreases as the radius increases. The intra-CB transition energy exhibits a knee at the highest CB QD state. The QD intra-VB transition energy shows a crossing between levels, and some curves are merged. The energy difference between the QD VB states is the smallest one. Then, the momenta for which the lowest transition energy corresponds to a high momentum are studied. The intra-VB momentum yields the highest calculated momenta in this work, owing to the smallest energy difference between VB QD states. The interband transition momenta between the QD CB and VB states are also studied. These transition momenta are much smaller than those in this work. The <span>(text{W}text{L}-text{Q}text{D})</span> transition, considering the orthogonalized plane wave (OPW), is calculated. Its high value compared to the interband transitions can be related to the high carrier density in the WL. It is also associated with considering only the ground state of WL, which is a common assumption. Finally, the linear susceptibility as a function of the interband transition energy is studied for different QD radii. The smallest QD radius gives the highest susceptibility. Increasing the QD radius to twice its original value reduces the susceptibility by one order of magnitude.</p><h3>Graphical abstract</h3><div><figure><div><div><picture><source><img></source></picture></div><div><p>The momentum of the intraband transition energy between QD states in the VB QD states versus the QD radius <i>ρ</i>. So far, no one has compared the W-like states with the W state. We investigate the properties of three W-like states named as <span>(|vartheta ^{prime }rangle )</span>, <span>(|eta ^{prime }rangle )</span> and <span>(|xi ^{prime }rangle )</span>. We point out that <span>(|vartheta ^{prime }rangle )</span> (resp. <span>(|eta ^{prime }rangle )</span> and <span>(|xi ^{prime }rangle )</span>) has the maximal von Neumann entanglement entropy (vNEE) <span>(S(rho _{A})=ln 2)</span> (resp. <span>(S(rho _{B})=ln 2)</span> and <span>(S(rho _{C})=ln 2)</span>) and the maximal tangle <span>(tau _{A(BC)}=1)</span> (resp. <span>(tau _{B(AC)}=1)</span> and <span>(tau _{C(AB)}=1)</span>) while the W state does not. We also indicate that if some one of three qubits is traced out, then the remaining two qubits of <span>(|vartheta ^{prime }rangle )</span> (resp. <span>(|eta ^{prime }rangle )</span> and <span>(|xi ^{prime }rangle )</span>) are more entangled than the two qubits of the W state by several entanglement measures. It means that the three W-like states have higher robustness against some particle loss than the W state. Pyroelectric X-ray generator technology offers a compact, low-power alternative by utilizing temperature-induced surface charges in single-crystal lithium tantalate (LiTaO<sub>3</sub>) and lithium niobate (LiNbO<sub>3</sub>) to generate and accelerate electrons up to 100 keV under moderate vacuum conditions. In this study, we investigate the behaviour of pyroelectric current amplitude as a function of the frequency of temperature variation. Typically, one would expect the current to decrease with increasing frequency due to reduced power deposited into crystal per cycle; however, a notable enhancement in current amplitude is observed within a specific low-frequency window for two LiNbO<sub>3</sub> crystals with thicknesses of 1 mm and 2 mm and one LiTaO<sub>3</sub> crystal with a thickness of 10 mm. The spectral analysis confirms that the current and temperature oscillate at the same frequency with a phase difference of π/2, supporting a thermally driven emission mechanism. These findings contribute to the advancement of reliable, portable pyroelectric X-ray sources with stable monoenergetic electron emission, offering significant potential for applications in imaging, materials characterization, and compact accelerator technologies.</p><h3>Graphical abstract</h3><p>\u0000Thermal Wave-Induced Enhancement of Pyroelectric Current in LiNbO<sub>3</sub> and LiTaO<sub>3</sub> Crystals.\u0000</p><div><figure><div><div><picture><source><img></source></picture></div></div></figure></div></div>","PeriodicalId":789,"journal":{"name":"The European Physical Journal D","volume":"80 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2026-07-13","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148465741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, this lower bound does not always assure the generation of the secret key and thus the protocol may have to be aborted sometimes. Thus, we modify the Woodhead’s lower bound of the secret key rate in such a way that the secret key is always generated in a BB84 like quantum key distribution protocol. We show the nonlinear relationship between the lower bound of the secret key rate with the error rate and fidelity. Exploiting the obtained modified lower bound of the secret key rate, we analyze two state-dependent quantum cloning machines such as (i) Wootters-Zurek QCM and (ii) Modified Buzek-Hillery QCM constructed by fixing the cloning machine parameters of Buzek-Hillery quantum cloning machine (QCM), which may be used by the eavesdropper to extract information from the intercepted state. The LIFT technique is distinguished by its high flexibility and low costs, combined with precise control over material deposition, making it suitable for many applications that require high precision in the manufacture of functional components. In the LIFT technique, even when using ultraviolet wavelengths, which are usually associated with photochemical reactions, the pulsed laser beam application produces intense thermal effects within the donor material that are difficult to predict experimentally, which may lead to the degradation of its chemical and physical properties and complicate the precise control of the material transferred to the receiver substrate. For this purpose, thermal simulation was performed to improve the LIFT technique by controlling the laser pulse width, laser fluence, and donor material thickness. In addition, the effect of adding a sacrificial layer (ZnO) on the technique was investigated. This was done to investigate the temperature distribution in a platinum (Pt) donor material deposited on a silica glass donor substrate when exposed to nanosecond laser pulses using the COMSOL Multiphysics® software (V. 6.1). The simulation results indicated that the temperature increases with the rise in laser fluence and sacrificial material thickness (ZnO), whereas it decreases with the increase in donor material thickness (Pt) and pulse width. The model presented in this study can assist in achieving a stable and controlled thermal system during the LIFT, thereby offering time and cost savings to obtain an ideal transfer of the donor material in future experimental studies.</p><h3>Graphical abstract</h3><div><figure><div><div><picture><source><img></source></picture></div></div></figure></div></div>","PeriodicalId":789,"journal":{"name":"The European Physical Journal D","volume":"80 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2026-07-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148465214","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Employing the reductive perturbation technique, a standard Burgers equation governing first-order shock dynamics and a higher-order linear inhomogeneous Burgers-type equation for the second-order perturbed potential are systematically derived. The integrability of the Burgers equation is established through a Lax pair construction within the Ablowitz–Kaup–Newell–Segur framework, from which exact one- and two-soliton solutions are obtained via the Darboux transformation. Stationary shock solutions are derived analytically, with higher-order corrections computed through the method of variation of parameters. The higher-order contributions are found to be consistently rarefactive, reducing the overall shock amplitude below first-order predictions. The influence of the trapping parameter, electron temperature, viscosity, obliquity angle, and ion density ratio on shock amplitude, width, and electric field profiles is examined in detail. The results demonstrate that incorporating higher-order effects provides a more complete and physically refined description of shock structures, with significant implications for understanding nonlinear coherent waves in planetary magnetospheres, auroral zones, and laboratory electronegative plasmas relevant to semiconductor fabrication and plasma etching.</p>","PeriodicalId":789,"journal":{"name":"The European Physical Journal D","volume":"80 7","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":1.8,"publicationDate":"2026-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"148465489","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":4,"RegionCategory":"物理与天体物理","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
