As the clinical aspect of the chronic liver diseases is variable and less suggestive in the early and even advanced stages in children, the authors followed--for three years--the incidence of biochemical and histological functional disturbances in a closed collectivity of children. The needle was extracted with surgical cystoscope. After removing the foreign body, nalidixic acid was administered. The clinical hepatobiliary semeiology, the data of the objective clinical examination and the laboratory and paraclinical examinations of hepatic exploration are analyzed. The paper reports then on the duration control of recurrent pathological apnea after hospitalization period, with monitoring at home and monitoring procedures for various categories of pathological apnea. Although the success in the antituberculosis struggle is evident and real in Romania, the contamination risk as this age is present and may lead to very severe forms. The bacteriologic investigation is the only way of establishing a certain diagnosis. But, since in the infant and the small child the etiologic agent is isolated only in 50% of cases, the clinical criteria with the test at tuberculin, radiologic examination, anamnestic data and epidemiologic inquiry increase considerably in importance.
