To prevent certain complications during the post-natal period exercise is an important component of post-natal care for the involution of the uterus, so such mothers must practice post-natal exercise to prevent such a complication after delivery. A quasi-experimental research design was used. Convenience sampling techniques were used to collect 70 samples. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Majority of post-natal mothers belonged to the 18-20 and 21-25 years of age group (34.3%). In both groups, majority of post-natal mothers belonged to the joint family. Pre-test results in the experimental group: mild involution (51.4%) moderate involution (48.6%), and no good involution (0%) while post-test in the experimental group showed mild involution (0%), moderate involution (11.4%), and good involution (88.6%). The chi-square value was carried out to bring the associnormal vaginal delivery, to reduce the risk of complications after delivery. The authors are: 1. Assistant Professor; 2. India’s maternal mortality ratio (MMR) has improved from 113 in 2016-18 to 103 in 2017-19. This is according to the special bulletin on MMR released by the Registrar General of India on 14 March 2022. In Gujarat, the MMR rate is registered as 91 in 2022 so we have to undertake many efforts to reduce the MMR. After childbirth, you're likely focused on caring for your baby. Involutionary disorders cause complications which is the leading cause of maternal mortality. The postpartum (or post-natal) period begins immediately after childbirth as the mother's body, including hormone levels and uterus size, returns to a non-pregnant state. The terms puerperium, puerperal period, or immediate postpartum peweeks following childbirth. The WHO describes the post-natal period as the most critical and yet the most neglected phase in the lives of mothers and babies; most maternal and new-born deaths occur during this period 24 hours and 66 percent deaths occur during the during the pregnancy. Girls maturing at an age earlier than their peers often experience isolation and increased levels of adjustment problems. The objective of the study was to explore degree of adjustment among girls with early onset menarche and expected age onset menarche. A cross-sectional study was conducted, among girls from six selected schools of Kozhikode city, Kerala. A total of 2480 girls were screened, out of which 144 girls who attained menarche within a year were selected. Forty-eight girls who attained menarche at nine and ten years were early menarche and ninety-six girls who attained menarche at 11-13 years were included in the expected age onset menarche group. The mean (SD) adjustment scores of girls with early menarche was 83.10 (13.13) which is apparently lower than the mean (SD) adjustment score of 102.90 (12.93) among girls with expected age onset menarche. To conclude, low level of adjustment among girls attaining menarche at an earlier age compared to their counterparts necessitates need for education at a younger age.","PeriodicalId":76706,"journal":{"name":"The Nursing journal of India","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135600462","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Studies have shown that adequate social support and high level of resilience help an individual to use positive emotions to leave behind bad experience and strengthen one' s self-esteem and to overcome negative emotions and thus preventing relapse. As substance use disorder disrupts a person' s self-control and self-efficacy leading to relapse. It is important for the family members as well as health care professionals to provide social support that can increase the resilience and self-esteem and further decreasing the relapse rate. The study aims to compare the resilience and perceived social support among patients with substance use disorder in relapse and abstinence. Quantitative research approach with comparative research design was adopted. The population were the patients with relapse admitted at indoor, DAM and patients in abstinence with substance use disorder attending DAM, OPD of a tertiary care hospital. The sample consisted of 40 participants as per Krejcie and Morgan sample estimation formula who are selected by using purposive sampling technique. The data was collected by using socio demographic proforma, clinical variables, Conner and Davidson Resilience scale and Multidimensional perceived social support scale. The results showed no significant difference between the two groups i.e Relapse and abstinence in the context of Perceived Social support and Resilience respectively (t=-1.611, p=0.115) (t=-0.309, p=0.759). This study may be a suggestive of developing psychosocial intervention module to promote social support and resilience and to decreases the risk of relapse.","PeriodicalId":76706,"journal":{"name":"The Nursing journal of India","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86118582","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
