Within this context, the hydrogeochemical results of water samples collected from 4 different water points from the campus area, geochemical analysis of 17 soil samples, and geotechnical properties of rock samples obtained from drill core and description of core-logging performed in 2008 were evaluated. Hydrogeological studies have shown that two different water facies with Na-Cl and Ca-Cl water types developed in the study area. These waters are classified as low quality, but usable, and 3 quality for irrigation water according to irrigation water standards and electrical conductivity values. According to geotechnical experiments, it was determined that the argillaceous limestone, which spread widely under the cover of the campus area, had bearing capacity of 36.5 kg/cm and belonged to the low strength rock class. As and Pb contents of the soil samples are at higher values, compared to the average upper crust values. According to the anomaly distribution maps prepared for Cl and Na elements, it was determined that east, southwest and northwest parts of the campus area contain higher values of Na and Cl than that of other parts of campus. The results of this study will provide more planned and efficient green-area studies to be carried out in the campus area and protection of the green-areas.","PeriodicalId":7626,"journal":{"name":"Aksaray University Journal of Science and Engineering","volume":"46 37 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77643427","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the ultrasonic sensor circuit, vehicles which have 3 different dimensions have been tried to be detected by using 40 kHz frequency. Vehicle dimensions of about 144 cm, 300 cm and 450 cm have been used in the study. The vehicles have been placed at an angle of 90 degrees to the ultrasonic sensor at a distances of 30 cm, 60 cm and 90 cm. In addition, the measurements have been tried to determine whether the sensor will be affected by moving the ultrasonic sensor at certain angles. When the dimensions and distances of the vehicles are taken into consideration, it is observed that the voltage values of 2V and more have been seen on the oscilloscope.","PeriodicalId":7626,"journal":{"name":"Aksaray University Journal of Science and Engineering","volume":"99 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79306643","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spatial resolution of the scintillation detector system is a highly important parameter for nuclear medical imaging. GATE simulation program, based on GEANT4, is used for the investigation of the SPECT system with different scintillations which are commonly used in the imaging device. Medical images for the point source are obtained by ImageJ software and image properties such as spatial resolution and mean grey values are compared for the several scintillations. This research shows that the spatial resolution value for GAGG(Ce), relatively new scintillation material, is very close to SrI which is one of the expensive scintillators. NaI, LaBr and CeBr are extremely hygroscopic and not easy to be packaging with a specific shape. Therefore, GAGG(Ce) are found to be encouraging result to be a part of the novel medical image device. This study also shows how important using collimator in front of the scintillation material for obtaining a meaningful image and how improved the image quality using the array scintillator instead of one single block. There is not any research regarding medical imaging obtained by GAGG(Ce) scintillation material in GEANT4 simulation, so this research data presented are the first of their kind.","PeriodicalId":7626,"journal":{"name":"Aksaray University Journal of Science and Engineering","volume":"2015 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86105756","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Effective and very accurate estimates can be created for the future by utilizing a small number of data in this theory. The grey modeling method is a sub-branch of the grey systems theory and the modeling process is done by using the related differential equations. The least squares approach plays an important role on accuracy of the results. Using the GM(1,1) modeling method, which is the basis of grey prediction models with its accuracy and usefulness, the tax income to be obtained in the following years are estimated. These estimates are very useful for economic policies, especially for local governments.","PeriodicalId":7626,"journal":{"name":"Aksaray University Journal of Science and Engineering","volume":"12 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-12-04","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79142562","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At present, the numerous kinds of polymer materials with various physical mechanical and electro physical characteristics are used as organic matrix. Numerous piezoelectric materials with various properties are as inorganic phase of composites. Such combination of composite components properties allows to create both micro and nanoactive dielectrics. In this paper there have been presented the results of mathematical modeling of the molecular structure of polymer matrix hybrid micro- and nanocomposites materials having three phases: polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) molecule, micro particle of Pb ( ZrTiO 3 ) piezoelectric and nanoparticle of ( SiO 2 ) 6 dielectric ( PVDF + Pb ( ZrTiO 3 ) + ( SiO 2 ) 6 ) by using of Parameterized Model number 3 (PM3) semi empirical method. Molecular orbitals energy, potential ionization, the total electronic energy of PVDF + Pb ( ZrTiO 3 ) + ( SiO 2 ) 6 nanocomposite have been calculated. The theoretical models of ( SiO 2 ) n nanoparticle, Pb ( ZrTiO 3 ) microparticle and polymer matrix of PVDF 2(h-(-chf-chf-)10-h) + ( SiO 2 ) 6 + PbZrTiO 3 hybrid micro- and nanocomposite are constructed. The results of calculations show that PVDF + Pb ( ZrTiO 3 ) + ( SiO 2 ) 6 nanocomposite is solid, electro phile, dielectrical and stable material . The wavelength of r adiated photon is l 228 nm. The elasticity of PVDF + Pb ( ZrTiO 3 ) + ( SiO 2 ) 6 nanocomposite is more than twice the elasticity of PVDF polymer. They will find a wide application in radio engineering, electronics, optoelectronics and piezo technic, seismic and acoustic technics.","PeriodicalId":7626,"journal":{"name":"Aksaray University Journal of Science and Engineering","volume":"19 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85993233","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many CAD and CAM programs in the world with different features developed for this purpose. Common file formats are developed in order to make data exchange between CAD and CAM programs. However, losses can occur in data exchange. In this study, it was thought that a 3D model obtained in a CAD program would have an effect on the results obtained if another CAD was used for any analysis. For this purpose, a crank-rod mechanism is designed as a 3D in a common CAD program. The parts used in the crank-rod mechanism are modeled as solid. The parts were save in IGES, STEP and SLDPRT common file formats. Assemblies were realized separately for 3 different CAD formats. The motion analysis was performed on the crank-rod mechanisms and the results were compared. The results of the analysis showed that there were differences between SLDPRT, STEP and IGES data of the crank-rod mechanisms.","PeriodicalId":7626,"journal":{"name":"Aksaray University Journal of Science and Engineering","volume":"37 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"72819919","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It was also aimed to achieve coexistence of fcc (face-centered cubic) and bcc (body-centered cubic) phases on the alloy membrane layer. The fcc and bcc phases were seen together in the structures of the membranes synthesized at all three bath temperatures (30 °C, 40 °C and 50 °C), but, it was shown that the most suitable coating rate was achieved when the coating bath temperature was 40 °C. The appropriate composition of PdCu (74% Pd, 26% Cu) was achieved by following a synthesis procedure as follows: Coating in Pd bath three times for 60 minutes each followed by coating in Cu bath at the low formaldehyde concentration (5 mL/L) for 15 minutes. Hydrogen flux in the membrane was measured as 1.9x10 -6 mol/cm 2 s. After flux measurements, it was determined that the membrane structure changed and the fcc (200) structure, which did not previously exist in the structure, was formed.","PeriodicalId":7626,"journal":{"name":"Aksaray University Journal of Science and Engineering","volume":"61 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-30","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90797250","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
