The major portion of the crown part of a damaged anterior tooth could be restored with a core build-up material which not only reinstate aesthetics but also withstand an array of forces in the oral cavity. \u0000\u0000Aim: To evaluate the Shear Bond Strength(SBS) of Zirconomer, Resin Modified Glass Ionomer cement(RMGIC), Microhybrid Composite and Nanocomposite as core build-up materials in maxillary anterior teeth. \u0000\u0000Methodology: 48 extracted intact human maxillary central incisors were collected and divided into four groups.Anatomic crown was trimmed upto fifty percent which involved the enamel and partly the dentin of each tooth. The experimental teeth were mounted in chemical cure acrylic resin and restored with Zirconomer, RMGIC, Microhybrid Composite and Nanocomposites. The samples were subjected to Shear Bond Strength(SBS) analysis using a universal testing machine (UTM). \u0000\u0000Results: Composites exhibited better mechanical properties than Glass Ionomer Cements. Nanocomposites had the highest Shear Bond Strength followed by microhybrid composites but there was no statistical significance. \u0000\u0000Conclusions: Nanocomposite possess better mechanical properties and also offers superior esthetics due to its supercilious polishability, proving to be the ideal core build-up material for maxillary anterior teeth.\u0000\u0000Key-words:Core build up- Composite-Glass Ionomer Cements-Shear Bond Strength

This is a randomised clinical trial with a split-mouth design in which the quadrants that undergo tooth brushing using charcoal-based (test) and non-charcoal-based (control) toothbrushes are randomly selected by tossing a coin. The subjects were asked to refrain from all kinds of oral hygiene practices for 48 hours, following which pre-brushing and post-brushing plaque scores were evaluated by Turesky Gilmore modification of Quigley-Hein plaque index using a two-tone disclosing solution. Tooth brushing was performed by the examiner for a standard time (45sec/quadrant) using the Modified Bass brushing technique with fluoridated toothpaste. \u0000\u0000Results: The study's results showed no statistical significance between the values. Lip prints were recorded with the help of a cellophane tape strip and analysed according to Suzuki and Tsuchihashi classification criteria. \u0000\u0000Results:The mean age distribution among males was 20.07 ± 0.81 where as in females it was 19.78 ± 0.73. Comparing between upper lip with lower lip pattern wise there was no statistically significant.Compared different patterns in relation with lower lip the values showing stastically significant (p≤0.05).\u0000\u0000Conclusion: Lip prints or Cheiloscopy can be used an individual identification. The aim of this study was to assess the knowledge, awareness, and attitude of dental interns of Central Vidarbha toward dental implants. A dental implant is a surgical component that interfaces with the bone of the jaw or skull to support a dental prosthesis such as a crown, bridge, denture, facial prosthesis or to act as an orthodontic anchor.\u0000\u0000MATERIAL AND METHODS\u0000The analysis protocol was approved by the institutional ethical committee of college. The study was administered out on dental interns studying in dental colleges of Central Vidarbha\u0000\u0000A cross-sectional based study was designed. A questionnaire was distributed among Intern of Dental Colleges in Central Vidarbha\u0000\u0000There were total 300 interns from all the dental colleges of central vidarbha but only 287 interns participated in study. There were about 57 male students and 230 female students. The questionnaire consisted of total 15 questions. The entire questionnaire was got validated. The Inclusion criterion was all the willing interns of all dental institutes in Central Vidarbha. The unwilling students were the exclusion criteria. The questionnaire was distributed in form of Google forms\u0000The study has been conducted between the periods of January 2021 to June 2021\u0000\u0000RESULT\u000097.9% (281) interns were aware that Dental implant as an alternative treatment modality for missing teeth, 68.6% (197) of interns agreed that implants can have technical and biological complications, 49.8% (143) interns thought that long lasting is the main advantage of dental implants over fixed prosthesis, 45.3% (130) interns thought that case selection is most important factor for implant success. \u0000\u0000CONCLUSION\u0000It can be concluded that the knowledge, awareness, and attitude regarding dental implant is moderately present among dental interns. As the implant therapy is becoming an emerging practice in dentistry nowadays because of its advantages, it is important to train the dental interns regarding it so that they can successfully treat the patient. They were anxious to find more about the dental implants. More writing and practice work ought to be added on the BDS educational plan and interns should be anchorage to assist the implant procedure. The dental institutes should also understand the problems faced by students regarding dental implants and should give importance to this topic during BDS curriculum.\u0000\u0000KEYWORDS\u0000Knowledge, awareness, attitude, dental implants, dental interns, central vidarbha

This resultant stress can lead to depression, anxiety, absenteeism, diminished work efficiency, sleep problems, lower academic performances, and burnout. Moreover, it has also been interrelated with drug addiction and substance abuse. The present study was conducted to find out the association of Stress with Substance Abuse among Dental Students in Ghaziabad, India.\u0000\u0000Methodology:This is a descriptive Cross-sectional study conducted among 275 dental students. Dental Environmental Stress (DES) questionnaire was used to gather the data regarding stress. The assembled data was exposed to frequency distribution analysis using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences software (SPSS) 21.0v. Association of Level of Stress with Substance Abuse among Dental Students was assessed using Chi-square analysis with ap value ≤0.05 considered statistically significant.\u0000\u0000Results:The response rate of this study was 91.2%. Out of the 251 study participants, 65.3% were females and 34.7% were males. The mean age of the study subjects was 24.20 ± 3.688. According to the level of stress, there were 18.7% highly stressed students among which 46.8% were having smoking habit and 14.9% consumed alcohol regularly. Association of level of stress with smoking was found to be statistically significant (p≤0.05) whereas its association with alcohol consumption was not statistically significant.\u0000\u0000Conclusion: In the present study, there is a high prevalence of stress among the dental students and most of the highly stressed students were having habit of smoking.
