Subjects completed questionnaires within three weeks of their infant's birth and again three to five weeks postpartum on the topics of infant feeding, lifestyle changes, depression, fathering activities with their own father and those planned with their own child, marital adjustment, and infant feeding. The nurse, as the primary caregiver in the neonatal intensive care unit, plays a major role in determining the infant's environment and in modulating interactions between the infant and the environment. Forty-four primiparae, between 25 and 35 weeks gestation, volunteered to complete both tools before beginning prepared childbirth classes. A statistically significant link between condylomata acuminata and cervical dysplasia was shown.
