Magnesium, IgE and histamine variations were followed in urticaria evolution, during acute phase and clinical remission. We noticed magnesium, histamine, IgE values variations depending on disease evolution and applied therapeutic scheme. Therefore: At disease starting point, histamine presented 3.5 times higher values than the normal ones. The value decreases following a curve which tends to reach normal values during clinical remission. At disease starting point, magnesium presented values under the inferior limit of the normal, 0.5 m mol/L respectively, as a mean. The value increases towards the normal limit during clinical remission. Immunoglobulins E follow a similar curve to histamine one, presenting 1,250 U/L values at the starting point, that, under medication, influence decrease between normal limits (800 U/L), during clinical remission. Analyzing the variations of biochemical parameters, the authors emphasize magnesium substitution treatment in urticaria.</p>","PeriodicalId":75543,"journal":{"name":"Archives roumaines de pathologie experimentales et de microbiologie","volume":"49 1","pages":"31-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1990-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"13139905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The serogroups identified among animal strains were encountered, with a single exception, among human strains, too, but with a different frequency. The importance of serogrouping as an epidemiological marker, was confirmed by serogroup identity of the strains within some family foci, by the oneness, as serogroups, in the case of repeated isolations from the same patient as well as by establishing an epidemiological diagnosis, in the case of an epidemic, occurring among the members of a given community.</p>","PeriodicalId":75543,"journal":{"name":"Archives roumaines de pathologie experimentales et de microbiologie","volume":"49 1","pages":"79-88"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1990-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"13256260","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Histopathological examination evidenced typical lesions in jejunum, ileum, caecum and especially in regional lymphatic tissues. Spleen, liver and mesenteric lymph nodes presented granulomatous lesions similar to those observed in in human typhoid fever. After oral administration, the animals reacted with anorexia, febrile reactions, bacteremia, diarrhoea, positive stool cultures, dehydration, lethargy and antibodies too were produced. Twelve Cryptosporidium positive cases were identified, meaning a general prevalence of 2.48% Cryptosporidium infection was detected in all investigated epidemiological groups: children, animal handlers, immunodeficient patients, immunocompetent adults with acute gastroenteritis. The risk factors hierarchy elicited the role of children collectivities attending, for acquiring the parasite in infantile cryptosporidiosis, while the opportunistic and zoonotic feature of the disease was especially present in adults' cryptosporidiosis. The assessment of cryptosporidiosis evolution, according to patients' immune status, has not allowed an obvious clinical discrepancy, since the immunocompetent subjects with professional risk had presented a prolonged oocysts excretion.
