Various personal information is correlated to the personal number of this program. Hence, its protection is paramount. However, whereas the aim of current security measures is to prevent leaks directly, we must consider the possibility of non-secret information being used to indirectly leak secret information by inference. We studied a hypergraph-basedmodel that can help to prevent inference of information in the My Number program. Names, addresses and other information are correlated with the personal number, and inference paths are detected by using a mapping from information stored in the program to the hyper graph. The hyper graph model and Dijkstra's algorithm are used to prevent the possibility of information leaks by inference.","PeriodicalId":74502,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings : Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference. Several researches proposed applying Software Defined Networks (SDN) and the Network Virtualization (NV) concepts to reverse this rate. However, many gaps and open challenges were observed in the application of these concepts together. In this paper, we propose the ProViNet platform, which merge the SDN and NV concepts to provide a fast and safe deployment of innovations in the existing network infrastructure. ProViNet advance the state-of-art introducing the concept of Network Programming as a Service, in which applications are built simply by composing control plane services. Such approach encourages End-Users to develop and share novel network solutions, fostering innovation. To prove concept and technical feasibility, we evaluate ProViNet with a prototype that allowed demonstrating virtual network infrastructure provisioning and programming.","PeriodicalId":74502,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings : Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference. Invariably, smoke-related health problems are the leading preventable causes of death in the US. Research has shown that a culturally tailored cessation counseling program can help reduce smoking and other tobacco usage. In this paper, we present a mobile health (mHealth) solution that leverages the Short Message Service (SMS) or text messaging feature of mobile devices to motivate behavior change among tobacco users. Our approach implements the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and a phase-based framework. We make contributions to improving previous mHealth intervention approaches by delivering personalized and evidence-based motivational SMS messages to participants. Our proposed solution implements machine learning algorithms that take the participant's demographic profile and previous smoking behavior into account. We discuss our preliminary evaluation of the system against a couple of pseudo-scenarios and our observation of the system's performance.</p>","PeriodicalId":74502,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings : Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference. One of our projects is in the domain of Chinese traditional architecture. More precisely, the user describes in natural language the house he/she wants to build, and our system eventually generates an animation to demonstrate how the timber structure is constructed by every single piece of wood. The processing in between includes information retrieval, reasoning of various types of components needed, computation of the size and position of every wood in the 3D scene, reasoning of construction sequence, and generation of animation descriptions. We have built a knowledge base consisting of one ontology and four rule bases to support the whole automation. Different Semantic Web formalisms are used including OWL DL, SWRL and Jess language. The inference engine Pellet is used to ensure the logical consistency of the ontology, and the rule engine Jess to implement the size and position computation and sequence reasoning. Our experience in using the Semantic Web technologies in real-world systems validates their prominent advantages including the reasoning facilities and modeling tools. At the meantime, limitations are revealed including low efficiency in processing large knowledge bases.","PeriodicalId":74502,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings : Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference. It differs from other computer supported animation production paradigms in three aspects: the form of input, the design of output and the implementation of output. The form of input is not necessary computer instructions. It can be a piece of data, a piece of message, a piece of natural language text, or something else. The design of output is not only based on semantics, but more closely on pragmatics of the input. It infers the effect wanted by the input and tells this to the observer in animation form. The implementation of output is automated based on artificial intelligence techniques and an underlying knowledge base.","PeriodicalId":74502,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings : Annual International Computer Software and Applications Conference.
