The parameters of blood\u0000oxygen transport (р50, рСО2, рО2, рН, HCO3\u0000-, ABE and ect.),\u0000lipid peroxidation products (conjugated dienes, Schiff bases)\u0000and blood hepatic markers (ALT, AST) were detected. It’s\u0000found that HIR leads to decline in hemoglobin oxygen affinity,\u0000activation of lipid peroxidation processes and elevation of ALT\u0000and AST activities in the 1st group. Hypoxic preconditioning\u0000(2nd group) markedly increased hemoglobin oxygen affinity,\u0000reduced the lipid peroxidation processes and ALT and AST\u0000activities in the blood during HIR. The study was carried out in 30 three months old\u0000male rats with dependence on inhalations of organic solvent\u0000“646” which contains up to 50 % mix of toluene and acetone.\u0000It has been shown that the withdrawal syndrome of inhalant\u0000is characterized by increased excitability and behavioral\u0000manifestations of equivalents of convulsive reactions such as\u0000oral hyperkinesis, head shaking and changes in the frequencyamplitude\u0000spectrum of the biopotentials in structures of the\u0000brain limbic-neocortical system with the initiation in the medial\u0000olfactory region and hippocampus. At the hypothalamus level,\u0000withdrawal of VOC inhalations produces the depleting impact\u0000on the catecholaminergic structures with a stronger effect in\u0000neuronal endings with adrenaline as neurotransmitter. Withdrawal\u0000syndrome evokes a significant decrease in dopamine\u0000content by 61 %, noradrenaline by 77 % and adrenaline by 92\u0000% in the hypothalamus and increase in serotonin concentration\u0000in blood serum by 16 % in rats with initial preference to\u0000inhalations of organic solvent “646”. Reactive astro- and microgliosis in hippocampus were observed after brain injury. Iba 1 and GFAP immunohistochemistry was used to visualize astrocytes and microglia cells. Immunopositive cells were counted in hippocampal CA 1-area at 5th, 10th and 30th days since thefirst injury and at 5th, 10th and 30th days since thefirst quercetin injection. Administration of quercetin leaded to the decrease in number of activated glial cells. Thus, our study demonstrates thefollowing: repetitive mild traumatic brain injury in mice is associated with reactive gliosis; quercetin showed neuroprotective effects by reducing this gliosis. Degeneration of dopaminergic (DA) neurons was accompanied by hyperactivity of those neurons that remained intact and responded to apomorphine (Apo) test by rotational movements. Depending on the number of rotations, three groups of animals were defined. In the medulla oblongata of rats with unilateral damage to dopaminergic (DA) neurons, a significant increase in the activity of inducible NO-synthase (iNOS) was observed, while the activity of constitutive NO-synthase (cNOS) tended to decrease compared with that in control rats. An activation of neuronal NO-synthase (nNOS) in those rats by injections of L-arginine in the medullary nuclei was accompanied by weakening of the hemodynamic effects compared to those in control rats. An exposure of animals to continuous light for three weeks was accompanied by increasing the number of damaged DA-ergic neurons in substantia nigra. At that, a significant decrease in cNOS activity in the medulla oblongata was observed, leading to the inhibition of de novo synthesis of nitric oxide (NO). At the same time, the activity of\u0000inducible nitric oxide synthase (іNOS) was higher in the\u0000papillary and follicular carcinomas. Such changes in the\u0000enzyme activity were associated with an increase in its level\u0000in papillary carcinomas, and with minor changes in follicular\u0000carcinomas. In medullary carcinomas the parameters under\u0000study corresponded to those in unchanged tissue, and in the\u0000papillary carcinoma metastases without changes in enzyme\u0000activity of nitric oxide formation, the level of the latter was\u0000much higher. Elevated levels of nitric oxide and іNOS activity\u0000in papillary thyroid carcinomas did not depend significantly\u0000on the aggression characteristics of the latter, being however\u0000absent in tumors of T4 category on a background of reduced\u0000cNOS activity and less expressed in tumors surrounded by the\u0000tissue in the presence of a chronic thyroiditis. Furthermore,\u0000in the papillary carcinomas of papillary or follicular structure\u0000nitric oxide level did not differ from the normal range, being\u0000slightly higher in tumors of solid or heterogeneous structure\u0000with presence of solid areas, whereas in carcinomas of\u0000papillary-follicular structure it was twice, and in tissue of solidinsular\u0000structure three times higher. іNOS hyperactivity was\u0000observed in the carcinomas of different structure, except for\u0000tumors of solid structure, in the tumor of which enzyme activity\u0000was within the normal range, and in tumor of solid-insular\u0000structure where it was significantly higher (as well as cNOS\u0000activity) compared with tumors of other structure. Nitric oxide\u0000generating system is involved in the transformation of thyroid\u0000cells and progression of tumor growth, including through\u0000apoptosis regulation, as shown by the results of an analysis\u0000of data obtained both in the present study and previously. We examined 350 people, including a group of radiation free areas residents (control group, 150 people) and a group of residents living in the areas of enhanced radiation monitoring (IV radiation zone, the density of soil contamination with isotopes (137)Cs 1-5 Ki/km(2), 200 people). All examined are the students of Cherkassy State University, aged 18-24 years, at the time of research didn't have any acute diseases. The role of additional stress factor (additional emotional load) was fulfilled by winter examination session. The first analysis of immune system indices was carried out in the interval between examination sessions, the second 2 after the first exam, the third - after the last exam, the fourth - after two weeks recovery period. Indicators of cellular immunity were determined by immunophenotyping and dyeing on Romanowsky-Giemsa. The level of immunoglbulins in blood serum was determined by radial immunodiffusion on Mancini. The level of cortisol in blood serum was determined-by immunoenzyme method. We determined that leukogram redistribution in favor of granulocyte fractions can be observed in the analyzed group in the intersession period, and also the reduction of the relative and absolute number of lymphocytes expressing antigens CD3, CD5, CD4 and CD 16. Also, all examined had reduced immunoregulatory index CD4(+)/CD8(+) and increased concentration of serum immunoglobulin G. Emotional stress increased earlier revealed tendencies. As a result the relative(23.41±1.01%) and absolute (0.28±0.02x10(9)/) number of T cells with the phenotype CD4(+), and immunoregulatory index (1.04±0.03) reached values lower than homeostatic norm. These indicators also show the longest period of recovery. Dynamics of the analyzed indices in session and recovery periods gives a reason to believe that mechanisms of adaptation and deadaptation are better displayed for thymus-dependent cells. Gene expression of insulin-like growth factor I (IGF-1) and IGF-1 receptor are represented in all parts of the brain and are heavily concentrated in the cerebral vessels. IGF-1 is involved in neuro-, angiogenesis, in the stimulation of cell proliferation, and repair responses to damage for both the central and peripheral nervous system. IGF- 1 exerts antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and protective effects on the CNS. Investigation of the flow of water and electrolytes through the epithelium of the colon performed male rats Wistar (180-250 g), isolated area by perfusion in vivo, for the actions of ceftriaxone (50 mg/kg intramuscularly), histamine (1,8; 3,6; 7,2 mg/ kg, introperytonealno, and 3,6 mg*kg-1 *h-1 intravenously) and loratadine (1,7 mg/kg, per os). Histamine intravenous administration, similar to ceftriaxone, makes a pro-secretory effect on the transport of water and sodium. Blockade of H1-histamine receptors loratadine prevents clinical signs ceftriaxone-induced diarrhea that accompanied the restoration of total water flow indicators and potassium through the epithelium of the colon of rats. All of them underwent dosed hypoxic test (breathing gas mixture containing 12 % of oxygen during nearly 20 min. The following monitorings were performed: blood saturation (SpO2), breathing rate, arterial blood pressure and heart rate; and standard glucose tolerance test (GTT) for blood plasma glucose and insulin concentration. The patients with prediabetic hydrogen metabolism disturbances displayed a more significant decrease of SpO2 and less effective functioning of the respiratory and cardiovascular systems during dosed hypoxic test compared with the healthy individuals without hydrogen metabolism disturbances. After redistribution of study subjects relative the degree of SpO2 decrease at dosed hypoxic test in the subgroup with satisfactory resistance to hypoxia (subgroup 1: SpO2 more than 80 %) and with reduced (subgroup 2: SpO2 80 % or less) we have found that the fasting glucose level after 2-hour GTT was significantly higher in subgroup 2 versus subgroup 1. The obtained results indicate the interrelationship between organism reaction to hypoxia, in particular between the degree of arterial hypoxemia during performance of the dosed hypoxic test and the indices of fasting glycemia and at standard GTT. The selection of embryos with high implantation potential is the most important task in assisted reproductive technology. Today, this selection is based on subjective morphological criteria such as growth rate, early cleavage, the degree of fragmentation, blastocyst formation. However, the morphological assessment alone does not accurately predict oocyte/early stage embryo competence. Thus, the development of an objective, accurate, fast and affordable tests to determine oocyte quality and embryo viability could increase the chance of a successful pregnancy and reduce the number of embryos to transfer. The advent of new technologies, the so-called OMIKS, has allowed to identify novel biomarkers that can be used in cycle of in vitro fertilization (IVF) for oocyte and / or embryo selection. During folliculogenesis oocyte plays a dominant role in regulation of cumulus (CC) and granulosa cell (GC) functions, and it is consequently believed that functions of GC and CC indirectly reflect oocyte’s competence. Cell functions and active cell processes are regulated through gene expression therefore, gene expression analysis in GC and/or CC could provide a non-invasive method for identification of the most competent oocytes and embryos. In cumulus cells, genes have been identified that characterize the oocyte ability to undergo meiotic maturation, successful fertilization and early embryonic development. Among them cyclooxygenase 2, gremlin 1 and hyaluronan synthase-2, which play an important roles during oocyte development, ovulation and fertilization.
