They have a wide distribution and inhabit different types of habitats. Their occurrence and distribution function as a bio-indicator of that area and their presence is influenced greatly by the corresponding habitat and vegetation types. In this study the spider fauna was surveyed from November 2019 to October 2020 in three locations of Kailashahar, Tripura, India. A total of thirty-two species belonging to thirteen families and eighteen genera were identified. Among them nine species are reported for the first time in Tripura, India – Neogeo nocticolor, Tetragnatha mandibulata, Tetragnatha javana, Enoplognatha sp., Oxytate sp., Carrhotus viduus, Thalassius albocinctus, Scytodes fusca and Mimetus sp. The highest numerically abundant spider recorded is Oxyopes scalaris and the least abundant species is Opadometa fastigata in the study area. The present study thoroughly investigated the unexplored spider species distributed over the study area and highlights the richness of spider diversity while calling for greater conservation of forest areas. Further rigorous works are necessary to discover more new spider species from this unexplored state of northeast India.","PeriodicalId":7174,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43879013","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Phosphorus balance in soil was assessed in the long-term stationary experiment at Hněvčeves from 1980 to 2015. The results indicate that the phosphorus balance was significantly influenced by the doses of phosphorus in mineral fertilization and farmyard manure. The most well balanced balance of phosphorus in soil was achieved at the plots with low doses of phosphorus applied in mineral fertilization and farmyard manure. Negative phosphorus balance was found out in the combination without the dose of phosphorus in both fertilizers. On the contrary, phosphorus surplus was indicate in the combination with very high level of phosphorus dose in mineral fertilization and medium level of phosphorus dose in farmyard manure or in the combination with medium level of phosphorus in mineral fertilization and very high level of phosphorus in farmyard manure. Very high positive correlation of phosphorus contents were found in plants to yield. Data about phosphorus balance can help to modify phosphorus fertilization doses for subsequent crops and optimize production inputs.","PeriodicalId":7174,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42794778","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper aimed to examine the breeding biology of Milky Stork raised in captivity in the Zlín-Lešná Zoo in the Czech Republic. By analyzing partial reproduction characteristic, we wanted to supplement the knowledge that is needed to ensure the necessary degree of reproduction of the Milky Stork in human care. The monitoring was carried out in the Zlín-Lešná Zoo and the following reproductive indicators were analysed: annual laying rate, size and weight of eggs laid, monitoring of egg weight loss during incubation, hatchability, and hatching weight. During the four years, a total of 23 eggs of the Milky Stork by one parent pair were evaluated. The average proportion of fertilised eggs over the whole period reached 56.5%. The average eggs length was 65.7 mm, the average eggs width was 47.0 mm and the average eggs weight was 79.7 g. Average weight loss of eggs during their incubation was 8.4 g. Average hatchability of all the laid eggs was 56.5%. A total of 13 young Milky Storks were hatched during the observation period. Their average hatching weight was 55.7 g. A total of five individuals were raised during the four years of observation. Knowledge in the field of reproduction is one of the basic prerequisites to give this species a chance to survive in the future, whether in the natural environment or human care.","PeriodicalId":7174,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47115794","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is an annual legume of the family Fabaceae and it is a rich source of vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, and protein. Two field experiments were conducted in Northwestern Iran (L1: Maragheh and L2: Hashtroud) to determine the effects of farmyard manure (FYM) application (0 and 20 t/ha) and foliar application of bio-stimulants and chemical nutrients (acid salicylic, acid ascorbic, riboflavin, silicon dioxide nanoparticles, micronutrients, and distilled water as control) on nutritional characteristics of chickpea seeds. Results showed that there is a significant difference between seed quality of plant grown in two locations and the highest content of fatty acids (stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid), nitrogen, phosphorus, starch, and protein were recorded in seeds harvested from L2. Also, foliar application of micronutrient and silicon dioxide nanoparticles significantly increased dietary fiber, ash, starch, protein percentage. Concentrations of mineral nutrients (N, P, Fe, and Zn) significantly increased with the foliar application of micronutrients. Spray of acid salicylic and acid ascorbic increased the percentage of unsaturated fatty acids in both locations. Furthermore, the highest amount of flavonoid and crude oil was achieved by foliar spray of acid salicylic, silicon, and riboflavin. Although foliar spray of bio-stimulants and chemical nutrients improved seed quality in both locations, their positive effects were more pronounced in L2 where the soil and climate condition were partially better than L1. Overall, the best performance for major compounds of chickpea seeds was achieved by foliar spray of acid salicylic, micronutrients, and silicon dioxide nanoparticles in the FYM treatment. The present study indicate that improving the soil conditions is essential before foliar treatments.","PeriodicalId":7174,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43212527","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Besides the library of Earl Arnošt Emanuel Silva Tarouca, the study also included related stocks, i.e. books and periodicals purchased by the Czechoslovak Dendrological Society and the State Agricultural Experimental Objects until 1936, the year of A. E. Silva Tarouca's death and the transformation of the research institution. Of all the topics represented, most books focused on the landscape architectonic creation of gardens. Key publications of the period can be found in the field of floriculture, dendrology, and botany. Other horticultural subjects are also represented to a minor degree. The library is therefore a comprehensive aggregate of books and periodicals dealing with the creation of gardens and parks from late 1800s until 1930s.","PeriodicalId":7174,"journal":{"name":"Acta Universitatis Agriculturae et Silviculturae Mendelianae Brunensis","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44426716","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
