Its effect has spread, attacking all economic sectors. The construction industry has also experienced a radical change in the working atmosphere and the appearance of obligations. These have become challenges in the wake of this crisis and add to the many challenges this field faces. Architecture and Engineering (AE) is a critical phase in the construction lifecycle that needs to be revisited in the post-COVID-19 era. In this context, this study aims to explore and develop a framework for adapting AE projects under the requirements brought about by this pandemic. A literature review and search of recently published documents is conducted in two phases; the first phase focuses on the state of play of AE before the pandemic, and the second phase explores the requirements brought about by the pandemic. The results revealed two challenges facing AE in addressing the obligations brought about by the pandemic. An internal organisational level and an external level concern the delivered projects. A framework of two leading solutions is proposed: Promoting technology and integrating collaborative practices. The results will help researchers and practitioners understand the issues to standardise this experience of COVID-19 and acquire the vital skills to be resilient in the future.","PeriodicalId":70295,"journal":{"name":"建筑工程技术与设计","volume":"105 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88304432","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Data analysis investigates the trends in the number of published papers, citation numbers and countries to explore the hotspots and frontier topics. The findings showed that it is a current necessity to address this research gap in the Arab countries compared to other countries with good track record therein. It was found that that the definition of an SBR varies according to different contexts, building type and condition as well as the aims and scope of the renovation undertaken. This has received increasing worldwide attention from many research institutions and different proposed approaches, nevertheless, the majority of published papers point to more concern for energy efficiency at the expense of other sustainable parameters. This is particularly important to consider in public buildings with special concerns for educational facilities following the COVID outbreak. Nevertheless, renovation activities may greatly impact occupants’ health in the long and short terms due to excessive pollutants’ release. Eventually, this shall enable better exchange of knowledge and lessons learnt.","PeriodicalId":70295,"journal":{"name":"建筑工程技术与设计","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88461601","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As Knowledge is the core of higher education, environmental thinking seems like a complex parameter when considering sustainability-based education interconnections with an inherent knowledge-based economy. Thus, exploring the principles and “models” of environmental thinking and corresponding pedagogical approaches, conceived for an intended “education for sustainability”, should be focused on the divergent intricacies related to needed implementations of linear thinking, cyclical thinking, ecological thinking, and their interrelation with the concept of sustainability and its utility and extensions in designing pedagogical contents. Moreover, observing the constraints related to the actual use of environmental thinking could lead to understanding the various facets of required interdisciplinarity when “modeling” such contents, intended to be “sustainability-centered” and every so often “environment-oriented”, considering desired breadth, assimilations, and reflections on and with other relevant contents. Therefore, systemic integration of environmental thinking as the focused approach of this research envisions the understanding of correlated processes, opportunities, and limitations. The observations of designed pedagogical “situations” and their outcomes paired with generated learning experiences within the interior design engineering programme represent the major conceptual and methodological outline. The deployed quantitative and qualitative methods allied to reflective observations investigate various aspects, indicators, processes, flows, and experiential approaches aiding to modelize a potential viable systemic integration.","PeriodicalId":70295,"journal":{"name":"建筑工程技术与设计","volume":"26 1","pages":"1-8"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79666357","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since these vertical parts are stiffer than the surrounding soil, they are only engaged in a small percentage of the forces generated at the ground surface. In this study, an original technique for rigid inclusion is proposed by using pre-tensioned with anchor rope. An advanced investigation is needed to identify the performance of segment vertical members with adjustable flexural rigidity. Concrete blocks with rubber pads attached by a rope pass over the center of each concrete unit to create a fixed pile with adjustable flexural rigidity. To calculate stress distribution segments (PF)s (PF) s were placed at different positions along with the SPAFRThe fixed SPAFRis placed on factory-made springs with S1 and S3 (S=4 N/mm). To simulate cohesion-less soil at various bulk densities, spring constants are used. Variable tension forces are subjected to the rope to accomplish anticipated flexural rigidity for the pile model. The load-deflection behavior was documented as well as the representative flexural rigidity values achieved by conducting a static load three-point test. Equivalent spring forces are calculated using the value of measure deflections. Therefore, the boundary conditions with the spring reaction forces are integrated to get the shear forces. With the additional integration, moments are calculated. The outcomes are likened by using the non-dimensional method (NDM). The moment values along with the fixed pile are calculated using measured stress. The size of the moment found from the back-calculation of pre-scale stress charts is the double value of that gained from the load-deflection quantities. The beam curvature is underestimated, because of the minor value of deflection measurement.","PeriodicalId":70295,"journal":{"name":"建筑工程技术与设计","volume":"26 1","pages":"1-3"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-06-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85287269","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
