The use of Machine Learning (ML) techniques has made huge contributions to biomedical signals classification. Many ML methods have been adopted and the results were very promising. In this paper, we choose two different ML classifiers: the k-Nearest Neighbors (kNN) and the Support Vector Machine (SVM). The main goal is to compare their performance using different combinations of time-domain features. This crucial strategy allows to choose the adequate features in order to obtain good model performance. The experimental results demonstrate that the SVM classifier is more efficient where it gives a higher accuracy compared to the kNN technique.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"21 1","pages":"412-417"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"76574587","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Furthermore, the presence of many intermediaries between farmers and final consumers reduce the margins realised by the small farmers and force them to sell their product with lower price. All the above factors lead to food loss waste (FLW) at the farm level. For instance, in Tunisia, the amount of collected and industrialized raw milk presents 60% of total produced quantity. In addition, the rejected amount of milk is estimated to 18% of collected quantity, which correspond to 30% of produced amount, especially during the hot season. These challenges faced by the small farmers’ highlight the necessity for implementing resilient strategy to eliminate waste and improve logistic operation efficiency. In this context, we propose a location and configuration of small collection centers network by developing a door-to-door methodology to improve the milk collection activity. A mixed integer linear programming (MILP) was developed to design a strategic and tactical decisions. A real case study is proposed on the region of Sfax (Tunisia)with various scenarios of production. The proposed model gives an efficient solution for minimizing the milk loss and waste.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"22 1","pages":"121-126"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75732664","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless WSNs have demonstrated novel research and developmental interests for military applications. In order to protect the WSN, lightweight and robust cryptographic protocols are needed. Various cryptographic systems were proposed, and most of them are based on public-key algorithms. Elliptic Curve El Gamal (ECEG) is one of the most promising, since it offers a strong protection with smaller sizes of keys. To implement an ECEG cryptographic system, we need to encode the message before encryption and decode it after decryption. In this paper, we propose a new encoding method that improves the ones proposed in the literature. Experimental tests were made and the performances of the new methods are provided.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"9 1","pages":"172-177"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"81060829","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Indeed, in the context of international market selection, the COVID-19 pandemic has made pharmaceutical export decisions more complex. Several scientific approaches are used by researchers as well as practitioners to guide in this area. In particular, Operations Research techniques, including linear programming, discrete event simulation and queuing theory, are called by organizational leaders to make highquality decisions. This study presents a Benchmarking methodology to support the decision-making process for international market selection based on the Data Envelopment Analysis method. A computational numerical study was conducted to highlight the performance of the proposed approach.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"79 9 1","pages":"167-171"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87956545","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This last comprises of a PV generator, a DC/DC converter, an inverter and an electrical grid. In this structure, a new control strategy using the simplified sliding mode technique is developed for the inverter. While the boost converter control strategy has two objectives, namely, the control of maximum power by injecting the power into the grid employing the Perturb and Observe (P&O) technique and for the purpose of controlling the chopper at its maximum efficiency, the switching frequency is generated by estimating voltages and currents from the DC/AC converter. The proposed control adjusts well to the cascade control strategy. Simulations were performed thanks to Matlab / Simulink and that in aim to validate the robustness of the employed techniques for different operating states, such as the irradiation and the temperature variation.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"92 1","pages":"433-438"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83818341","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

If we refer to etymology, \"metrology\" means \"science of measurement\". The business measurement approach should therefore fall within the realm of rigor and rationality by performing periodic calibration. By using new technologies (IT, Machine learning, etc.), work methods can be innovated by modernizing measurement techniques and by introducing the notion of intelligence. \"SMART Metrology\" or \"intelligent metrology\" is therefore required to take care of the automatic calibration and monitoring of equipment and will provide reliable and repeatable measurements, which will be verified by legal metrology. It is therefore used to create SMART measuring instruments that transform measurement results into controlled information. More and more companies are opting for Smart metrology for the simple reason that it modernizes the techniques of taking measurements introducing new concepts, in particular Big Data. This technology offers metrologists the opportunity to develop their profession, allowing them to actively participate in the compliance of measuring instruments and the reliability of measurements in the company. This paper presents a SMART platform for calibrating spectrum analyzers available in a metrology laboratory using Python programming software. This Human Machine Interface (HMI) makes it possible to communicate in real time with the spectrum analyzers, to take measurements automatically, to supervise the instrument remotely in order to carry out the calibration and verification of the equipment and to judge the conformity of the equipment.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"68 1","pages":"193-197"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86668211","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The general nonlinear differential equation of the dynamics with a non-constant and nonlinear input matrix is considered. The main idea for the design of the control law lies in linearizing the dynamics of the robot around the desired configuration state by using the first-order Taylor approximation. Thus, by means of the obtained linear model, two different approaches for the design of the feedback gains of the affine PD controller are presented. At the end of this work, a two-degree-of-freedom manipulator robot is adopted to show the efficiency and then to compare between the two design approaches of the affine PD-based control law.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"3 1","pages":"424-432"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84055875","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The common purpose of many researches is to improve its performances. In this paper, Genetic-Fuzzy hybrid approach ensuring accuracy is proposed. It is planned to classify ECG signals into five cardiac types, including, the Normal class (N), Paced class (P), Left Bundle Branch Block class (LBBB), Right Bundle Branch Block class (RBBB) and Premature Ventricular Contraction class (PVC). The main purpose deals with the optimization of a fuzzy system. In fact, the Genetic Algorithm (GA) is applied mainly for tuning the membership and rules parameters. The Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) is considered as the cost function. Accordingly, the investigated approach presents efficient accuracy (RMSE = 0.398) when the Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) is of TakagiSugeno (TS) type and the Gaussian membership is selected. The good linguistic interpretation is the power of GeneticFuzzy hybrid approach regarding others in machine learning.","PeriodicalId":6874,"journal":{"name":"2022 5th International Conference on Advanced Systems and Emergent Technologies (IC_ASET)","volume":"13 1","pages":"138-142"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87448954","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
