The object of the study is the design of the contemporary public interior. The subject matter is furniture as part of the object environment.Working on the interior design of different public buildings (for entertainment: clubs, cafes, restaurants; administrative, educational establishments and other institutions) requires an individual approach, taking into account the functionality of each room, its staff and the number of visitors. When designing public interior projects, the most comfortable environment should be created through the aesthetic component, with particular attention to materials for wall decoration, lighting, furniture, textiles and works of art, such as paintings etc.","PeriodicalId":6688,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Biomedical Innovations and Applications (BIA)","volume":"15 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84924488","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Feed-forward neural models with Scaled Conjugate Gradient training are used at given “sigmoid” activation types in hidden and “softmax” in output network layers. The selection is performed in range of 3 to 25 intermediate neurons in assessing the information content of five input indicators -”client ID”, “service request time”, “service starting time”, “server id” and “release time of requests”. A model is synthesized for four input variables without the “service request time” parameter and accuracy of 87.7% was achieved. For the established model, the experiment was extended to 39 neural units, to reaching a potential accuracy level of over 90.0%. The highest accuracy of 90.7% is achieved at 33 neurons.","PeriodicalId":6688,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Biomedical Innovations and Applications (BIA)","volume":"44 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80644917","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For that purpose, we automatically segment the birdsong to acoustic evens, and subsequently each segment is modeled by a GMM-based interpolation of the short-term energy of the dominant frequency component. Next, the parameters of the GMM model are fed to a classifier in order to recognize the birdsong syllables type. We evaluated the practical worth of this approach using publicly available field recordings of species Myrmotherula multostriata which were recorded in natural habitats. The experimental protocol was based on seventy-eight acoustic events, which were obtained after the automatic segmentation of the audio signal. We report recognition accuracy of up to 98%, depending on the classification method and the particular syllable type. Summarizing the experimental results obtained in this study, we concluded that the proposed method has good potential for achieving higher recognition accuracy, however additional work is needed for satisfying the needs of practical applications.","PeriodicalId":6688,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Biomedical Innovations and Applications (BIA)","volume":"7 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84269145","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is an encoding method, which reduces the channel resources (bits and qubits) used in a quantum secure communication protocol. The paper proposes a first-time practical implementation of this encoding process – encoder and decoder are designed. Thus, the practical feasibility of the quantum channel compression is demonstrated. The functional designs of the encoder and decoder are presented and verified by the software Quartus II v. 8.1, Web Edition. It was found that the implementation of quantum channel compression allows reducing not only the resources but also the duration of a quantum secure communication owing to a parallelism in the decoding part of the system.","PeriodicalId":6688,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Biomedical Innovations and Applications (BIA)","volume":"10 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87699914","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The performance of the SADM is optimized for operation with PPG signals with respect to the signal-to-noise ratio and the normalized percentage root-mean-square difference. By using of this 1 bit per sample algorithm compression ratios of 1:N could be achieved when an N-bit analog-to-digital convertor is used for the PPG data acquisition. The presented results are obtained through computer simulations using real-world PPG signal databases. The possible applications of this contribution include the fields of medical sensor networks, telemedicine, data storage etc.","PeriodicalId":6688,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Biomedical Innovations and Applications (BIA)","volume":"5 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80327172","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Most contemporary orthosis follow traditional methods of manufacture and have a lot of drawbacks. This paper presents a novel orthotic solution of customizable finger splints with a standardized design. The finger immobilizer and the mallet splints are the orthoses being developed in this study. These splints will be customizable via the thermoformable property of the splint material, polylactic acid (PLA). The designs seek to overcome the drawbacks of contemporary splints. The 3D printing was done using Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) method on the Prusa i3 MK3s printer. The finger splints developed were light weight, breathable and comfortable according to the volunteers who tested them. Future research will focus on the validation of these splints via a clinical study on patients.","PeriodicalId":6688,"journal":{"name":"2019 International Conference on Biomedical Innovations and Applications (BIA)","volume":"139 1","pages":"1-4"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85327451","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
