It has the ability to detect bio-targets with refractive indices between 1.33 (water) and 1.5. As the refractive indices of sensitive holes change, a significant shift in the peak of transmission is observed. This structure consists of air holes in silicon slab with 0.48a thickness and 10 $a$ × 10a µm2 active area which has band gap and waveguide modes for TE polarization. Finite difference time domain (FDTD) and plane wave expansion (PWE) methods have been used for the analysis. We've used effective refractive index of silicon for 2D simulation. The simulation results yield a maximum sensitivity of 300 nm/RIU and a quality factor of 418. The converter employs two active switches with complement gate commands. In order to regulate the output voltage of the converter a robust and adaptive non-linear control approach is presented. In this case an adaptive sliding mode control (ASMC) method is applied for the converter output voltage regulation. The feedback control law is applied based on sliding condition realization. The proposed sliding mode control (SMC) method guarantees asymptotic stability as well as robustness against input voltage variation and load resistance uncertainty. Hence the mixing process is a challenging problem and researchers are trying to present fast and reliable micromixers. In this paper, using Ionic Polymer-Metal Composites (IPMCs), an active micromixer has been designed. Fardmanesh","doi":"10.1109/IranianCEE.2019.8786373","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/IranianCEE.2019.8786373","url":null,"abstract":"We present a new approach for non-destructive evaluation (NDE) in homogeneous and isotropic metallic objects which contain defects at unknown depths based on single scan and multi frequency excitation. As known, there is an optimum frequency for each depth of defect. Finding the depth of an unknown defect requires us to find the optimal frequency. In conventional single frequency methods, the optimal frequency is obtained by applying a wide range of frequencies to the system separately and comparing the corresponding results in a time-consuming process. Conventional multi frequency inspections were introduced to obtain more information about test specimens. There are two ways to apply multiple excitation frequencies to the test sample. First way is to apply them sequentially to a single excitation coil which is still time consuming and the second method is to apply them simultaneously to multiple coils. In simultaneous excitation the testing time is shorter, but its processing of phase and amplitude signals is still challenging. We propose and examine the capability of the multi frequency eddy current (MFEC) method to detect the depth of hidden cracks in a shorter time period; using our HTS SQUID gradiometer-based system. The measurements are performed in a noisy environment, and a planar double-D shaped printed-circuit-board coil is used as the excitation coil. In this paper, the effects of leakage flux variation under inter-turn winding fault conditions are studied. To analyze the transformer behavior under inter-turn winding faults, a three-phase transformer with actual dimensions is modelled using time stepping finite element method (TSFEM). For experimental investigation of leakage flux, four search coils are installed on the HV windings of the transformer and the frequency spectrum of search coils are analyzed. Search coils signature analysis for various situations of inter-turn faults and transformer operation are extracted. Nowadays, Speaker verification based on factor analysis and i-vector space has a great impact on the performance improvement of these systems. In this paper, a method is proposed for weighting the model and test vectors, which utilizes the statistical characteristics of target training vectors. The effect of the use of weighted vectors on the accuracy of scoring and the performance of the entire speaker verification system was evaluated for Mel-frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC) and power-normalized cepstral coefficients (PNCC) feature vectors, and two scoring methods, i.e., the cosine distance and probabilistic linear discriminant analysis (PLDA). TIMIT database has been used in the evaluation of the system. Based on Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional technique and the average dwell time approach new delay-dependent criteria which guarantee finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness of time-delay switched linear systems is proposed. In other words, the obtained necessary and sufficient conditions guarantee finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness of linear switched delay systems while some subsystems are not finite-time stable and finite-time bounded. Finally, simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed method. Some of hybrid glucose-insulin controllers have combined the artificial intelligence such as fuzzy logic and metaheuristic algorithm with well-known Palumbo model. However, most of those approaches have focused on the glucose reference tracking, and the glucose sensor errors as well as various unmeasurable disturbances have not been well studied. In this paper, a hybrid method based on higher order sliding mode (HoSM) and unscented Kalman filter (UKF) has been presented. Using the network in these control systems induced new limitations, That the most important of those is bandwidth limit. Scheduling methods are the solution to handle this limitation in NCS. Although This concept has been developed and its algorithms have been extended in time-based NCS, these methods are not usable in event-based NCS; because in these systems, event scheduling requires the simultaneous design of the event-triggering rule and the control algorithm with respect of the bandwidth limit. In this paper, the above issue is examined and lead to a new co-design of control and scheduling. The design is based on linear matrix inequality (LMI) and guaranteed stability and performance due to the Lyapunov approach.
