The model has the foundation on the condition assessment of subsystems of components in GIS. The condition indicators (CI) were captured from the Routine Visual Inspection (RVI) and the Diagnostic Test and Measurements (DM) on GIS. After then, a set of \"norms\" translates the condition indicators into one of logarithmic-base 3 condition codes (CC), before finally converted into an index from 1 to 5. Failure Susceptibility Indicators (FSI) have also been introduced in the model. FSI might initiate an onset of a failure mode, but it is not part of the asset health index. Triggers for FSI can be due to three factors, namely, environmental, GIS’ operational experience, GIS’ design/ make. The proposed regulator is a new technique to build up a new improved PI regulator with tunable gains by using a fuzzy logic supervisor. Its main attribute is to regulate in real time its gains to exceed the impact of the fluctuations of the stator resistance. The improved direct torque control has been simulated and experimentally implemented. MORPD as a non-linear, multi-objective optimization problem has the characteristics of non-convex, multi-constraint, and multi-variable (mix of discrete and continuous variables). The aim is to minimize the real power losses and voltage deviations. The feasibility of the proposed method was tested on the IEEE 57-bus power systems. One of the stresses faced by insulation is thermal. In this study, epoxy resin will be combined with one type of inorganic filler which has high thermal conductivity, namely Boron Nitride with a ratio of 10wt% and 20wt% respectively. To examine the resistance of the micro-composite material to thermal stress, accelerated thermal ageing with a temperature of 150°C was carried out for 500 h. To investigate the effect of thermal ageing on micro-composite materials, dielectric properties testing (relative permittivity, dielectric loss and breakdown voltage) carried out at 100h interval. Tracking erosion test was also conducted to determine the effect of high thermal conductivity filler on materials for 6 h following IEC standard, and also the thermal distribution measurement using the infrared thermal camera was taken in 1 h interval to observe the hotspot temperature in each interval. From the experiments conducted, it was found that with the incorporation of BN micro-composite and accelerated thermal ageing at 150°C for 500h did not significantly influence the dielectric properties of the material. Hybrid PV-based electric power systems are the answer to the fulfilment clean energy of electricity and are suitable to be designed in areas that are isolated and far from the main electricity network. The Hybrid systems will be discussed in this paper are the hybrid from PV, Generator and Battery Storage Systems. The design of a Hybrid PV system depends on geographical location, resource potential, and load profile. Looking at the considerations of these parameters, technical and economic analysis is needed regarding the design of the generating system. Overall, this paper will discuss the technical and economical design of Hybrid PV-based electric power systems that will be implemented in the village of Amaru, Asmat, Papua. Technical parameters such as Irradiance, Temperature, Controller and Sizing Components will be the main focus of the discussion. Technical design analysis will use MATLAB/SIMULINK with the application of the Perturbation & Observation (P&O) algorithm on Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT) and economical design analysis will use Homer Pro. Based on the result, the output from MATLAB/SIMULINK will be more comprehensive because the input data can adjust by every single time. Partial discharge can cause damage or breakdown of high voltage equipment. So that needs monitoring to be done to determine the quality of insulation on electrical equipment. One way to find out the quality of insulation can be done by measuring partial discharge in isolation. This study discusses the characteristics of partial discharge in air isolation. Partial discharge characteristics include PD phase pattern (negative PD phase pattern, positive PD phase pattern, negative PD number, positive PD number, negative PD charge and positive PD charge), PD pulse sequence Patterns and PD Frequency Spectrum. The PD detection used is the RC Detector sensor. The PD phase pattern, PD Pulse sequence pattern and PD frequency spectrum of PD pulse are measured by 5 voltage variations that is at 5 kV, 5.5 kV, 6 kV, 6.5 kV and 7 kV. From the results of the study found the number of negative PD in air isolation at a voltage of 5 kV, 5.5 kV, 6 kV, 6.5 kV and 7 kV in 100 cycles respectly 3839, 4144, 6538, 6754 and 7181. The disadvantage of conventional flyback converters is the ringing caused by the transformer leakage inductance and the main switch parasitic capacitance resonance, resulting in high voltage stress on the switch. In the proposed converter, by using the active clamping technique, The voltage spike on the main switch is absorbed by the clamp capacitor, the voltage stress of the two main switches is clamped to Vin, and the switch operates in zero voltage switching, which can reduce the switching loss and improve the overall effectiveness. The converter proposed in this paper can reduce two diodes on the primary side of the converter compared with the traditional two-switch flyback converter. The WECS is required to operate at the MPP under varying wind conditions. The RR algorithm is the meta-heuristic algorithm, inspired by the function of runners and roots of some plants in nature. The plants are propagated through runners. They look for water resources and minerals by developing runners and roots. The RR algorithm is proposed to define maximum power points (MPP) corresponding to the optimal output voltage of the DC/DC boost converter of the PMSG-based WECS. The numerical results show that the RR algorithm based MPPT approach efficiently defines and tracks the MPPs of the PMSG-based WECS.
