Methods: Eligible patients undergoing thoracotomy for tumor were selected from the thoracic surgery at a level-A tertiary hospital between August 2021 and December 2021 and included in the control group and the observation group (40 patients in each group). To prevent two groups of patients from interacting with each other, the thoracic surgery ward I was dis-tinguished as the control group, which was adopted by the routine instruction. Based on routine instruction, the thoracic surgery ward II conducted respiratory function exercise instruction by video combined with the teach-back method to compare the two groups’ compliance with respiratory function exercise, complication rates, and patient satisfaction. Results: The patient compliance with respiratory function exercise in the observation group was significantly higher (P < 0.05) and the rate of pulmonary complications in the observation group was lower (P < 0.05) than that in the control group, while the observation group had a high level of satisfaction (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Taking video combined with the teach-back method, an effective health education method, can improve the compliance of the respiratory function exercise of patients undergoing thoracotomy for tumor and promote the recovery of pulmonary function to reduce the incidence of postoperative pulmonary complications so as to improve patient satisfaction.","PeriodicalId":66197,"journal":{"name":"癌症治疗(英文)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70993736","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study aimed to describe the baseline clinical-pathological profile and treatment modalities for primary brain tumors in adults treated at the Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI) from 2017 to 2020. Materials and Methods: This was a retrospective study conducted at ORCI by reviewing 61 medical records of patients with primary brain tumors over the age of 15 from January 2017 to December 2020. A structured questionnaire was used to retrieve information on sociodemographic, clinical-pathological characteristics, and treatment modalities. The 2007 WHO classification system and the International Classification of Cancer Diseases (ICD-0-3) were used for classification and diagnosis. The X test and Fisher’s exact test were used to compare the proportions and an independent t-test was used to compare the means. A P-value less than 0.05 was deemed statistically significant. The Results: The mean age of the females was 41.8 years and the mean age of males was 42.9 years. Overall M: F ratio was 1:1.2. Meningioma was the only tumor that was more commonly found in women with M:F of 1:2.1. The most prevalent symptom was headache (57.4%). Glioblastoma (GBM) was the most common tumor among adults (38%), followed by astrocytomas (23%) and meningioma (18%). Approximately 91.8% of all tumors occurred in the supratentorial region. The Frontal lobe was the most common site (29.5%). Approximately 81.9% of patients received surgery. The gross tumor resection (GTR) rate was 26.2%, and the subtotal tumor resection (STR) rate was 55.7%. Roughly 18% of the tumors were inoperable. An estimated 80.3% of respondents received radiation therapy. The radiotherapy technique was 3DCRT in two-thirds of the patients and the rest received conventional 2D radiotherapy. The mean equivalent dose in the 2 Gy fractions (EQD2) was 43.9 Gy. Respondents with low-grade How to cite this paper: Mrema, A., Iddy, S., Ngoma, M., Mvungi, N. and Lugina, E. Methods: The clinical data of 63 patients in the Department of Urology, Affiliated Hospital of Chengde Medical College who underwent radical surgery for renal cancer were divided into CTC positive group (18 cases of open surgery and 16 cases of minimally invasive surgery) and CTC negative group (14 cases of open surgery), 15 cases of minimally invasive surgery), overall group (32 cases of open surgery, 31 cases of minimally invasive surgery). Observe the changes in the number of CTC 1 week before operation and 1 week after operation. Results: In the positive group, whether it was open surgery or minimally invasive surgery, the postoperative CTC level of patients was significantly reduced (P < 0.05). In the negative group, the CTC decreased significantly after open surgery (P > 0.05), and the CTC level decreased significantly after minimally invasive surgery (P < 0.01). The study was conducted at Faisalabad Medical University (FMU), Oncology, Allied Hospital Faisalabad (Pakistan). Data of 100 patients with LABC was collected. Demographics were recorded in the form of age, socio-economic status. In clinical data, time of presentation, family history of breast cancer, the presenting symptom in the form of lump, ulceration and other skin changes were noted. Histo-pathological variables including tumor size, histopathology, Bloom & Richardson grading, estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor status (PR) and HER2 status. Results showed that after following a standard trimodality treatment approach in LABC patients, 30 percent died within two years. Disease free survival for more than two years was observed in only 25% of patients. Whereas, 70% patients had eventful (Recurrence/metastases) survival. This poor outcome was observed due to lack of health care facilities, awareness and poor socioeco-nomic status.","PeriodicalId":66197,"journal":{"name":"癌症治疗(英文)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70994823","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
