The epidemiological and therapeutic data available are very li-mited in Antananarivo. The aim of this study was to provide an updated report on the management of colorectal cancer and know the survival of patients. Patients and Methods: A descriptive retrospective study during 2018 and 2019 carried out in the oncology department of Joseph Ravoahangy Andrianavalona Antananarivo Hospital. Newly diagnosed patients with histological evidence were included in the study. Results: Sixty-five cases of cancer were collected, including 39 colon cancers and 26 rectal cancers. The average age was 53 years with extremes of 18 and 83 years. In 41.53%, the patients were young people under 50 years old. The sex ratio was 0.95. Four patients (6.15%) had a family history of first degree cancer. The left colon was the most common location in 43.06% of cases. Only 39% of patients were diagnosed within 6 months of the first symptoms. The most common histological type was lieberkuhnian adenocarcinoma (87.69%).","PeriodicalId":66197,"journal":{"name":"癌症治疗(英文)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70994623","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The treatment of breast cancer is mainly surgical treatment. In the context of enhanced recovery after surgery, the average length of hospital stay has been reduced, so there is increasing concern about postoperative patient discharge readiness. Objective: To identify factors influencing readiness for hospital discharge among patients having undergone breast cancer surgery and to explore the relationship between discharge readiness and the quality of discharge teaching. Methods: A total of 99 patients after breast cancer surgery at a regional tertiary medical tumor center in Guangzhou between June 2021 and December 2021 were collected using the convenience sampling method. A general data questionnaire, readiness for hospital discharge scale, and quality of discharge teaching scale were used to conduct a questionnaire survey on the subjects. Results: 83.8% of the patients feel ready for discharge, and the score of discharge readiness was 155.98 ± 28.87. The patients’ content received and the skills in teaching delivery were the influencing factors of discharge readiness. Discharged with a drainage tube was an independent factor of discharge readiness. Conclusions: Readiness for hospital discharge among patients undergoing breast cancer surgery was above medium level, and perfect intervention measures should be formulated for the influencing factors of discharge readiness. Especially, specific executable safeguard measures should be formulated for patients who are discharged early after surgery to promote the safety of home care.","PeriodicalId":66197,"journal":{"name":"癌症治疗(英文)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70994461","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Purpose: From this narr-ative review, I will make a case for utilizing resistance exercise training from a molecular mechanistic standpoint and provide insight in how it can be used in a hospital setting. Method: PubMed Search and review of the literature. Discussion: The loss of about 9 percent of lean body mass is related to lower survival in metastatic colorectal cancer. Chemotherapy is also related to muscle mass loss. Resistance exercise training increases muscle protein synthesis and net muscle protein balance towards anabolism in healthy volunteers. Resistance exercise has shown to reduce the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines from monocytes and reduce toll-like receptor-4 expression on monocytes. Resistance exercise training has been shown to reduce lean body mass losses and improve function in cancer patients. Conclusion: All in all, resistance exercise training has been shown to alter molecular mechanisms that lead to muscle protein gains and is an effective means to improve function and reduce lean body mass losses in cancer with few side effects.","PeriodicalId":66197,"journal":{"name":"癌症治疗(英文)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70994609","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, non-small lung cancer cells are insensitive to radiation, diminishing their radiotherapy effects. Although the radiosensitivity of the non-small lung cancer cells was reported to be enhanced through regulating miR-34a, the regulation effects of miR-34a expression on radiosensitivity of lung adenocarcinoma cells through target genes CDK4, CDK6, CyclinD1, and Bcl-2/Bax have not been systematically investigated. Methods: In this study, we investigated the effect of miR-34a expression on the Bcl-2, CDK4, and CDK6 pathways in lung adenocarcinoma cells, to provide new insights into the sensitization treatment of lung cancer. We first studied the effect of miR-34a expression on H1299 and A549 cell activity. Then to investigate the mechanisms of radiosensitivity, we focused on apoptosis, cell cycle, and target genes. Results: We find that overexpression of miR-34a in lung adenocarcinoma cells inhibits cell activity, and improves radiosensitivity. Specifically, overexpression of miR-34a suppresses the expression of target genes CDK4, CDK6, CyclinD1, and Bcl-2/Bax, which leads to cell cycle arrest and promotes apoptosis of lung adenocarcinoma cells. Conclusions: Overall, our results demonstrate that the overexpression of miR-34a enhances the radiosensitivity of lung adenocarcinoma cells, indicating that miR-34a is a sensitizer for lung adenocarcinoma radiotherapy.","PeriodicalId":66197,"journal":{"name":"癌症治疗(英文)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70992882","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
