The process variations are expected to be more pronounced in advanced process technology commonly used in memories such as SRAM. Variations in the critical process parameters such as threshold voltage or effective channel length can result in large number of faulty cells in a memory. These variations can result in reduced maximum attainable operating frequency, yield and circuit performance. In this paper, the impact of mismatch and process-variation on standard 6T cell is investigated. Then a register file is designed in 65nm Technology with six-transistor SRAM and investigated for the leakage power and performance under process variation. Each entry of the register file is analyzed for the performance degradation and clear, partially affected and fully affected registers are identified under process variation due to delay and leakage. Random variation alone is modeled as they are the dominant cause of process variation. It is found that the access time increases with the size of the register file and the leakage power under process variation is 22 times larger than the normal leakage power with unaffected system.","PeriodicalId":6426,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Emerging Trends in VLSI, Embedded System, Nano Electronics and Telecommunication System (ICEVENT)","volume":"84 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83836595","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In our scheme the steady state Master Equation was expressed, in which the resultant value is necessary for the current calculation. A ME for the probability distribution of electrons in the SET dot is obtained from the stoachastic process, allowing the calculation of device characteristics. Helmholtz's free energy is considered to determine the transport of electrons through a SET device. The conventional PID controller does not produce the desired performance for this application. This paper ends in presenting the idea of using PI-PD controller-a modified structure of PID controller for controlling the temperature of the melt in the barrel. Fuzzy logic technique is used for obtaining the optimum values of the controller parameters. The controller is modeled in SIMULINK. From the simulation results, it is observed that the fuzzy tuned PI-PD controller outperforms the other controllers namely Ziegler-Nichols tuned PID controller, Fuzzy Logic controller and Fuzzy tuned PID controller.","PeriodicalId":6426,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Emerging Trends in VLSI, Embedded System, Nano Electronics and Telecommunication System (ICEVENT)","volume":"1 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90872658","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To obtain the spectrum of oceanic parameters particularly the ocean wave heights are selected for the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu. The paper maintains keenness in applying the computer knowledge to ocean's welfare. The data sets are trained, based on the actual wave periods and heights. Such effort of measuring is achieved with the calibration of the tonal variation and the predicted wave table with the actual measurements and assess the error corrections to the predicted wave table with the actual measurements of the sea coast. This data is required to the planners of offshore structures, boat authorities, navigators, fisherman and the engineers producing oil from the offshore platforms. Once the training set is obtained, it is verified with actual height and necessary pruning has been introduced after that. The predicted and actual values of wave height reached, the inferred profile and the different stages applied are kept as reference block, by applying the root mean square corrections the data has been validated. A tolerance level of 7 to 10 percent error is envisaged in the measurements. The model is found successful.","PeriodicalId":6426,"journal":{"name":"2013 International Conference on Emerging Trends in VLSI, Embedded System, Nano Electronics and Telecommunication System (ICEVENT)","volume":"31 1","pages":"1-5"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2013-04-11","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88360940","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this our development, explore the joint power control, channel assignment, and radio interface selection for dynamic provisioning of link bandwidth in infrastructure multi-radio multichannel wireless networks in occurrence of channel variability and external interference. To characterize the logical relationship between spatial contention constraints and transmit power, originate the joint power control and radio-channel assignment as a generalized disjunctive programming problem. The generalized Benders decomposition technique is applied for decomposing the radio-channel assignment (combinatorial conditions) and network resource allocation (continuous conditions) so that the problem can be solved efficiently. In this algorithm is assured to converge to the optimal solution within a finite number of iterations. For the speed loop, a standard internal model controller is first designed based on a model of Induction motor by analyzing the relationship between reference quadrature axis current and speed. Considering the disadvantages that the standard IMC method is sensitive to control input saturation and provides a poor load disturbance rejection performance, a modified IMC is introduced where a feedback control term is added to form a composite control structure. For the two current-loops, PI algorithms are employed respectively. The purpose of this analysis is to adopt one of the MPPT algorithms for improving the performance of solar photovoltaic (SPV) power generation system. The performance of SPV power generation system is affected by irradiance, temperature of panel and load. Surface Plasmon resonance [SPR] has becoming an important optical bio-sensing technology in the areas of medical, biological , biochemistry, pollution detection, aircraft and laboratory research. The SPR works on the principle of TIR, that when the stepper motor mounted laser beam moving back and forth is focused on the hypotenuse of the gold coated BK-7 prism at an angle greater than the critical angle, hence the laser beam gets reflected back and SPR is generated outward side of the gold coated surface is measured using LDR. The generation of SPR is measured in terms of Refractive index, the refractive index changes with respect to the applied sample (Dielectric loading). Hence even for a small change in molecular interaction can be found using SPR. The laboratory prototype of PIC microcontroller based SPR was characterized in terms of reflectance and intensity with respect to the incident beam. In the design of instrument PIC 16F73 microcontroller is used to control the laser movement back and forth through stepper motor to increase the fastness and accuracy.
