However, it argues that the advocates of generality must make a serious effort to re-conceptualize the GT in a very broad perspective. One must understand both its limitations and why the generality debate after the GT has failed to reconsider it in a proper way and what to do to restore Keynes’s generality claim in the present context. This paper’s contribution is twofold. The first is to make a distinction between three different dimensions of the generality issue and suggest that Keynes failed to grasp their full significance because he was facing the Marshallian orthodoxy, rather than general equilibrium. The second contribution is to suggest that one way to restore Keynes’s generality claim is to stress that he belongs to an alternative paradigm that has several features in common with contemporary modernist revolution and with Einstein’s relativity theory in particular.","PeriodicalId":64249,"journal":{"name":"中国经济评论:英文版","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47410808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With this analysis, it comes to light the importance of China as a partner both for the industrial system and for the Italian production system. The analysis of investments flows and trade to and from China in Italy evidence the potential benefits that the development of logistic infrastructure along the BRI, with specific reference to railway and maritime networks, could bring to Europe and Italy, as well as the quality of logistics infrastructure, comparing them also to others European Countries, using the performance index, such as Logistic Performance Index (LPI). In fact, it is evident that reducing transport costs and strengthening the infrastructure systems in several countries that are part of the BRI could gain benefits. However, the issue is to understand and examine if, in an asymmetric structural economic and political situation, the result would be win-win, or instead the advantages would be redistributed unequally.","PeriodicalId":64249,"journal":{"name":"中国经济评论:英文版","volume":"19 1","pages":"213-225"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48503596","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These electronic games are structured under an analog scheme similar to that of the sports industry, which has given rise to a new and rapidly growing global market known as “eSports”. eSports are a confluence of innovation, strategy, and marketing, in which players, or gamers, come together and compete with the same intensity and commitment as professional athletes. Gamers participate in local, national, and worldwide competitions that are broadcast over a variety of media, and are sponsored by large transnational companies/brands. For these companies, the eSports phenomenon represents a new paradigm capable of revolutionizing the very concept of entertainment. In this article, we propose a conceptual framework through which we can analyze the business repercussions of this new technology from an integral perspective that takes into account players, sports clubs, publishers, sponsors (brands), spectators and broadcasters. Through this analysis of representative companies from the eSports sector, we explore their evolution and future tendencies, like virtual-reality and augmented reality. The industry participants agree that such groundbreaking these technologies are going to be crucial to the future of eSports because they will be the new way of playing and a marketing revolution. This project seeks to stimulate further research into the profound technological transformation the entertainment sector is now undergoing with the digitalization and implementation of immersive technologies. Special attention will be paid to the institutionalization and professionalization of video game competitions and their progressive homologation with traditional sports.","PeriodicalId":64249,"journal":{"name":"中国经济评论:英文版","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42256113","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is a high number, to the point of questioning which particularities are related with the economic bankruptcy in the State. The objective of this study is precisely to analyse the profile of these industries that closed their activities in Mato Grosso, considering the estimated survival rate for the extraction and transformation segments. Also, based on the underlying indicators of factor analysis, the crucial factors for the economic bankruptcy of micro and small enterprises in the state are delineated. The main results point to the generalized consequences arising from the main economic crises, with more aggressive effects for the microenterprises of sand, gravel, and cobble extraction. Aggravated problems included also the food and logging industries, the main activities of the local economy, with more pronounced impacts in the South, Southeast, North and Central-North regions of Mato Grosso. The survival rate declined considerably between 2006 and 2008 and, despite recovery in the following period, it has not yet recovered its best performance. In the case of micro and small transformation industries, the results point to a group with limited managerial capacity and lack of strategic planning before the execution of the main stages of production and commercialization.","PeriodicalId":64249,"journal":{"name":"中国经济评论:英文版","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42660528","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was undertaken through an anonymous random survey in the two larger public universities in a Mexican medium-sized city. Overall violence and types of violence—verbal, psychological, sexual, and physical—were evaluated by sex and by universities; and the aggressors were identified. A students’ concept of violence was built, considering causes of intimate-partner violence, violence in general and ethical judgment on gender violence. Finally, it was measured the relationships between violence on campus and in the household using bivariate statistical analysis. Findings indicate the main aggressors on campus are classmates and professors, whereas in the household are the mother, relatives together with the parents and relatives without the parents. On-campus, there were found statistically significant associations between professors-aggressors and students as victims of violence by sex. In the household, the bivariate analysis confirmed mothers as single aggressors and fathers exerting violence together with relatives against student-children; and direct relationships between on-campus (psychological and sexual violence) and domestic (physical and sexual violence).","PeriodicalId":64249,"journal":{"name":"中国经济评论:英文版","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43102445","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The importance of water derives from its being an indispensable but limited resource. We are not able to produce more than Earth offers, nor can we exploit water resources outside the planet. Nevertheless, water remains a fundamental asset whose demand is expected to grow considerably in the coming years: It is estimated that, by 2050, almost half of the world’s population will be exposed to potential conditions of water stress. The aim of this work is to analyse the role of tourism in the consumption of water resources, in particular, the volumes of water “indirectly” spent to meet the needs of tourists. We will explain in detail what these “indirect consumption” consist of and we will deepen the characteristics of the tourism sector in order to understand the mechanisms that bind it to water resources.","PeriodicalId":64249,"journal":{"name":"中国经济评论:英文版","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46083292","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But how can leaders and organizations effectively convene strategic and culture development based on values? This paper presents the Tri-Intersectional Model of Leadership by Values (TMLV) in which leaders and organizations can integrate a sustainable strategy, as well as a culture and value-based management system that simultaneously leverages human, financial, and social resources. With its three essential axes of values (economic-pragmatic, emotional-development, and ethical-social) at their intersection points, it allows leaders to focus on the strategy linkages: innovation—intersection between the economic-pragmatic values axis and the emotional-development values axis—allows them to develop sustainable innovations; survival—intersection between the economic-pragmatic values axis and the ethical-social values axis—enhances their organization’s survival; finally, sensibility—intersection between the economic-pragmatic values axis and the ethical-social values axis—makes them more humane and more socially-responsible. The application of the TMLV, using the Fuzzy Multi-Criteria Decision Making Open Technology Assessment System, can be a great inspiration for stimulating and working with values in organizations, as well as allowing leaders to develop a values-based, high-involvement, and performance-oriented culture. One of the Chinese strategy for “go global” is Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) which was announced by President Xi Jinping in 2013. The BRI includes a significant number of countries from Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. In this framework, China relations with Central Asia are an important part of the BRI project. The BRI is not merely an economic project as framed by Beijing, but that it represents a new stage in China’s engagement with the Central Asian republics. The Belt and Road Initiative is highly likely to become China’s most significant contribution to Central Asia economic development. This would affect the China-Central Asia relations economically and politically.","PeriodicalId":64249,"journal":{"name":"中国经济评论:英文版","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-05-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48060905","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Now it is good timing to review its progress and prospect. This study first examines policy diffusion in relation ETSs in China and particularly those for CO 2 emissions, including the causes, determinants, process, and impacts. It argues in a centralized political system with highly and widely differentiated local circumstances, policy diffusion is progressed through a more complicated process, presented as a three-tier process in the paper, illustrating how international arrangement, national jurisdiction, and local administration interact and influence policy-making in a follower’s jurisdiction. China, which is now the biggest GHG emitter, has been preparing to establish a national ETS since 2017. So far, eight sub-national governments have introduced ETS pilot programs to feedback their experiences and to determine best practice for the national scheme. These eight pilots, especially the relatively successful ones, are found to be motivated by a competitive relationship that aims to stabilize its carbon market, which may eventually contribute to the progress of policy diffusion of the ETS in China.","PeriodicalId":64249,"journal":{"name":"中国经济评论:英文版","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-04-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48433689","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
