Zhao","doi":"10.1109/MACE.2011.5988072","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/MACE.2011.5988072","url":null,"abstract":"By using the H.ň.Mаккавеев Method, Return Period Method, Bankfull Discharge Method and the Effective Sediment Transport Discharge Method to the hydrological data of Ba River, the bed-building discharge has been calculated and made as flow conditions of river model experiment. Finally, it was applied to the model experiment about Ba River and the results was compared with the one of balance riverbed from the normal river model experiment made by Northwest Water Conservancy Science Research Institute in 2001. The result shows that 6 years working life of the reservoir of Ba-river No.B rubber dam being regime channel is agreed with that of the prototype. A new model of spatial finite element beam model is proposed. The kinematic constraint conditions of the moving platform and the branches of the spatial flexible parallel manipulator are derived. The dynamic model of the moving platform is developed based on the Newton-Euler principle. Then, using the kinematic constraint equations and dynamic model of the moving platform, the overall system dynamic equations of the parallel manipulator are obtained through assembling the dynamic equations of elements. Finally, the numerical simulation of a 3-RRS parallel manipulator was presented and compared with the results of SAMCEF software simulation. The expansibility and strength of stabilized soils were studied through a series of tests. The chemical composition, cation exchange capacity, microstructure and BET surface area were tested and analyzed as well. It was found that the total swelling and shrinking percentage and the plasticity index decreased significantly. The compressive strength of stabilized soil and its stability in water were effectively improved. It was also found that the cation exchange capacity and BET surface area of swelling soil decreased by mixing ISS into it. The microstructure, wear behavior and conductivity of SiCp/Cu composites were studied by optical microscope, abrasion test and current conductivity instrument. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate water content of solid insulation for guaranteeing a safety and reliable operation of power transformers. The microstructure of insulation molecules can be varied by water, which affects the conductivity and polarization properties. Return voltage measurement based on dielectric response theory can detect variation of dielectric properties of insulation material. The paper analyze dielectric response properties of oil-paper transformer in detail, and describes the relationship between water content and polarization characteristic quantities, finally, reveals the mechanism of diagnosing moisture content of solid insulation in transformer using return voltage measurement. {"title":"Formation of soluble microbial products (SMP) in an anaerobic sludge system","authors":"Hu Xi-quan","doi":"10.1109/MACE.2011.5987412","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.1109/MACE.2011.5987412","url":null,"abstract":"A bench-scale experiment has been carried out to investigate the formation of soluble microbial products in an anaerobic baffled reactor (ABR) treating buffered synthetic glucose substrate (about 500mg COD/L) under mesophilic temperatures. Generally, SMP production increased with decreasing temperature. A higher SMP to soluble chemical oxygen demand (SCOD) ratio was found at high temperature because of complete volatile fatty acid degradation. SMP accounted for amount to 0.85 of the SCOD in the effluent of the ABR. The performance of each compartment under organic load shock was different. In general, the fluctuation of SMP concentration in acidogenesis zone was bigger than in methanogenic zone which probably due to more SMPs are produced during acidogenesis than during methanogenesis. The biggest problem with brackish water irrigation is salt accumulation in soil. The focus of concern of people is that, after 1-year application of brackish water irrigation, whether it is necessary to leach salt using winter irrigation or spring irrigation before sowing of the next year. This paper comprised data of easily dissolvable salt of 0∼60cm in soil which monitored from monitoring area S1 before and after spring irrigation in 2010 in Tarim Township of Yuli County, Xinjiang and salt tolerance indexes during germination, seedling and budding, flowering and boll generating, and boll opening periods of cotton (which are 7.1 g/kg,6.9g/kg,8.2g/kg and 9.2g/kg). The result shows that: in monitoring area S1, we can desalt leaching using spring irrigation once every other year to maintain the germination and growth requirements. The soil desalting ratio of monitoring area S1 before and after spring irrigation is 11.9%∼84.2%.
