The boundary displacements of the specimen in two directions, as the governing variables, maintain certain ratios. Two failure modes are found, catastrophic rupture and gradual failure. The biaxial loads drop simultaneously in catastrophic rupture. And the fluctuation value of deformation rise rapidly before the catastrophic rupture occurs. Hangzhou is taken as a typical example in subtropical monsoon climate region to certificate the limitation of glass atrium use in the south of China. Zhejiang University is taken as the study case, through on spot research and computer simulation, adaptable alteration methods in shading, ventilation, heat insulation, cooling are used on traditional glass curtain wall atrium. Results were stimulated by professional software to improve the interior physical environment to the comfortable level. Taking Beijing Metro Line 10 vertical Underpass Metro line 1 as the project background, the paper focus on the interacting of the new building and existing tunnel during the whole construction process. Adopting Ansys and Flac-3d to build large-scale mathematical and physical artificial models, by the analysis of the new building and existing tunnel deformation and stress alteration we got the Mechanical Characteristic of the new and existing subway tunnel. The research indicates that the main affect range of the new tunnel construction to the old tunnel is mainly in double excavation scope (6m). The main characterizations of the existing tunnel include the liner stress decreased, incline and recover. {"title":"Studies on inhibition activity of chitosan against bacteria from drinking water","authors":"Q. The bacteriostasis circle sizes of chitosan were observed, and the inhibitory effects with different concentration of chitosan (0.1, 0.2, 0.5 mg/l) and different cell concentration were also studied respectively. The results showed that chitosan could inhibit the growth of the bacteria isolated, and the ability was directly proportional to its concentrations. Though the bactericidal effect of chitosan with 0.2 mg/l concentration was after that of 0.5 mg/l, and longer settling time was needed, the turbidity was lower for the full flocculation of the residual bacteria. 0.2 mg/l concentration of chitosan could completely inhibit the growth of bacillus with low concentration; the holding time was extended with higher concentration of bacterial suspension and the same effect was also achieved. When the perforation ratio of the hole is large, it is necessary to strengthen the section steel. The regular practice is to welding the reinforcement plates to the main steel column with plug welding around the holes, which is not convenient in construction and the quality of the plug welding is hard to guarantee. In this paper another two strengthening methods were proposed, which were welding the reinforcement plates to the main steel column with front fillet welding and all around welding. Then, with three welding methods, several steel section columns, under axial and eccentric compression and of different perforation ratios, were analyzed and compared by ABAQUS finite element method. An infrared detection principle based on electric heating is intended to be put forward to solve the above-mentioned problem. Then the calculation formulas of bearing capacity subjected to the axial force for the above three confined concrete column are proposed, based on the existing calculation methods of bearing capacity for the concrete column confined with spiral hoops and steel tube.
