This study aims to contribute to the traceability of raw materials in order to fight against falsification. For this purpose, we based our work on the measurement of isotope ratios in 13C, 15N and 18O. The multi-element isotope ratios have been evaluated as a means to distinguish fermented cocoa beans of different geographic and varietal origins. The isotopic ratios of 13C, 15N and 18O were measured in theobromine obtained from samples of fermented cocoa beans. Twenty-two (22) samples of different geographical origins covering the four mainland cocoa producing areas were analyzed on the one hand and on the other hand, 16 caffeine samples from various origins were also analyzed. The treatment of the values resulting from these isotopic analyzes by statistical methods, namely the principal component analysis (PCA) makes it possible to visualize the discriminations between the different origins. The most discriminating variables identified as responsible for the geographic and varietal differences were the δ15N, δ13C and δ18O values of cocoa beans and certain extracts and tissues. The experiment was determined on Waters HPLC instrument using 996 photo-diode array detector. The separation was done by using symmetry C-18 ODS (25 cm × 0.46 cm internal diameter) 5 μm analytical column containing mobile phase of Phosphate buffer (0.02 M) and methanol [65:35% v/v] adjusted pH to 4.8 by adding dilute ortho phosphoric acid. The method was run at 1 ml·min-1 at 286 nm detection. The drug was eluted at 5.484 min. After developing the method, it was assured for the intended use by validation which was done according to ICH Q2B guidelines. The analytical parameters checked were linearity, accuracy, repeatability, intermediate precision, limit of detection, limit of quantitation, ruggedness and robustness. It was observed that the response of the detector was linear in the range of 6 - 14 μg/ml with correlation coefficient of 0.999. The results of all the parameters were found to be within the acceptance criteria. The stability indicating assay method was established by using the samples generated by forced degradation process. The forced degradation was carried out by subjecting the drug to acid, alkali, thermal, oxidative and photolytic degradation and the results showed that the degradation products were successfully separated from the drug. The Roujean model was used to quantitatively describe different fruits intensity components (F00) and polarization phase angle (Orient), and the simulation results were analyzed and compared using statistical analysis and comparison methods to realize the prediction from the regular model to the outdoor fruit tree canopy to the canopy of outdoor fruit tree canopy random distribution. The experimental results showed that: 1) when the phase angle of jujube was 52.19°, 66.51° and 88.26°, the R2 and average errors of F00 parameters described by Roujean model are 0.9982, 0.9963, 0.9912 and 3.80%, 4.17%, 6.40%, respectively; and the R2 and average error of Orient parameters described by Roujean model are 0.9056, 0.9223, 0.9260 and 6.23%, 3.32%, 8.05%, respectively; It can be seen that roujean model can quantitatively describe the Orient parameter of jujube; 2) When the phase angle of apricot was 70.99°, 71.28° and 67.91°, the R2 and average errors of F00 parameters described by Roujean model is 0.9862, 0.9823, 0.9792 and 3.40%, 4.82%, 5.19%, respectively; And the R2 and average error of Orient parameters described by Roujean model are 0.9382, 0.8947, 0.8849 and 7.19%, 9.28%, 9.47%, respectively. Roujean model can also quantitatively describe the Orient parameter of white apricot. In summary, the Roujean model can provide a good quantitative description of f00 and a good quantitative description of Orient, which in turn can predict the pBRDF parameter for more fruits with different incidence and detection directions. Chromatographic separation of boronic acids and lumacaftor achieved using Agilent Poroshell HPH C18 150 × 4.6 mm 2.7 μ column with 0.1% ammonia in water as mobile phase A and 100% acetonitrile as mobile phase B at a flow rate of 0.25 ml/min. Gradient elution was used with a total method run time of 14 minutes. Boronic acids were successfully ionized and quantified without derivatization using electrospray ionization in negative mode using tandem quadrupole mass spectrometry in multiple reactions monitoring mode. Method validation was performed as per ICH guidelines with good linearity over the concentration range of 0.05 ppm to 5 ppm of Lumacaftor test concentration for both the boronic acids with a correlation coefficient of >0.99. Recoveries were found good at different concentration levels and within the range of 80% - 120%. The overall reaction gave an amplification of the iodide that is (12) times larger for the compounds: 2-amino-5-mercapto-1,3,4-thiadiazole (I); 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4-thiadiaole (II) and 2,5-diamino-1,3,4-thiadiazole (III) and (36) times for 2,5-dihydrazino-1,3,4-thiadiazole (IV) and (6) times for 5-mercapto-2[(3[5’-nitro-2-’furyl]·methylene)amino]-1,3,4-thiadiazole (V) and 5-mercapto-2[(3[5’-nitro-2-’furyl]-prop-2-enylidene)amino]-1,3,4-thiadiazole (VI). By titration, 1-mL of standard thiosulfate solution was found equivalent to 0.108 mg of (I); 0.126 mg of (II), 0.16 mg of (III), 0.041 mg of (IV), 0.40 mg of (V) and 0.435 mg of (VI). Using the spectrophotometric detection for the amplification reaction gave high absorbance values at 605 nm for the blue starch-iodine complex. Beer’s law was obeyed up to 4.0 ppm for compounds (I and II); 6.0 ppm for compounds (III, IV and VI) and 5.0 ppm for compound (V). The mechanism of the reactions was proposed and the analytical parameters were evaluated for both methods. The method was applied for synthetic samples of industrial importance. The objective of this study is to assess the maturity of the composts produced at the platform of the NGO ENPRO in Lome on the growth and agronomic parameters of maize (Zea mays L., var. IKENE). To do so, three types of compost (gargabe, fruit waste, animal litter) were made for at least 3 months. The chemical analysis, phytotoxicity and agronomic tests carried out made it possible to assess the maturity of these composts. Indeed, the evolution of the C/N ratio, of the electrical conductivity, the phytotoxicity tests and the growth parameters of the composts show that the composts N°1 and N°2 are mature at the end of the 3rd month of composting while the compost N°3 can only be considered mature at the end of the 5th month of composting. But, with a yield of 2.39 ± 0.28 t/ha and a mass of 1000 grains of 346 ± 4 g, the treatment at 5 t/ha of compost N°3, has the best agronomic parameters compared to other types of compost and treatment without organic amendment. These results also show that compost with a high electrical conductivity has an inhibitory effect on the growth of corn plants (Zea mays L., var. IKENE). Basic chemical analysis, phytotoxicity tests and height growth of maize (Zea mays L., var. Chromatographic separation achieved using Poroshell C18 PFP 150 × 3.0 mm 2.7 μ column and 0.1% formic acid in water as Mobile phase A and 0.1% formic acid in methanol as mobile phase B using gradient elution and a flow rate of 0.4 ml/min with a run time of 18 minutes. Mass spectrometric conditions were optimized using electrospray ionization in positive mode. Method shows excellent linearity from 0.05 - 5.0 ppm of the ranolazine test concentration for all the five impurities. The correlation coefficient was observed greater than 0.99. Satisfactory recoveries were observed for all the five impurities within the range of 102.9% - 112.3%. Method has been validated as per ICH recommended guidelines with a LOQ of 0.15 ppm achieved. Medicinal plants, rich in bioactive components that promote prevention and treatment, are inexpensive and no side effects. Apium graveolens, Cleome gynandra, and Hibiscus sabdariffa from Burkina Faso were investigated for their phytochemical profile and antioxidant activities. The high-performance thin-layer chromatography profile revealed flavonoids, tannins, and sterols in these herbaceous. The Hibiscus sabdariffa methanolic extract exhibited the highest total phenolic (138.4 ± 0.5 mg GAE/g DW) and flavonoid (52.8 ± 0.6 mg RuE/g DW) contents comparatively to Cleome gynandra and Apium graveolens. Hibiscus sabdariffa methanolic extract also presented the highest antioxidant activity (IC50 = 0.31 ± 0.002 mg/mL) using the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging capacity assay. A high correlation between flavonoid contents and hydrophilic antioxidant activities (r = 0.99) was observed, indicating that flavonoids contribute significatively to these herbaceous antioxidant properties. This groundwater is often brackish and hyperfluorinated, which leads to diseases such as dental and bone fluoro-sis, etc. The water from the Diouroup water drainage facilities, like those from many other water drainage facilities in the regions of Fatick, Kaolack, Diourbel and the area of Touba, is facing this problem. To solve these problems, several physicochemical and membrane methods have been imple-mented. In this work we have briefly outlined some of these methods and we have chosen one of them, low pressure reverse osmosis. In addition, this technique is very simple to operate and maintain. Reverse osmosis provides good quality water in a single step, without the need for additional steriliza-tion or remineralization treatments. We then carried out simulations with the Reverse Osmosis System Analysis (ROSA) software. For reasonable operating parameters, we have noticed a low feed pressure of 11.58 bars, a good average flow of raw water of 27.79 L/m 2 /h and a recovery rate of the first pass of 75.01%. The results obtained also showed a good quality of the permeate which respects the recommendations of the World Health Organiza-tion (WHO) on drinking water. The fluorides of 0.59 mg/L have a recovery rate of 90.8% while the chlorides of 59.09 mg/L have a recovery rate of 92.12% as for the Total Dissolved Solids of 184.90 mg/L for an abatement of 92%. The preparation of mesoporous silicas is usually achieved via the modified Stöber method, the reaction attained by the hydrolysis and con-densation of silica precursors present within a medium containing template, solvent, deionized water (DI-W) and base. Therefore, the current study aimed to prepare and characterize mesoporous silicas by using tetramethoxysilane (TMOS) as silica precursor and ethylene glycol (Et-G) as solvent. The study was based on the template dodecyltrimethylammonium bromide (C 12 TMABr) and sodium hydroxide used as an alkaline agent. Mesoporous silicas were prepared in various batches based on TMOS molar concentration, ionized water, NaOH, and other solvents. The characterization of mesoporous silicas was achieved based on their specific surface area, pore size distribution and morphology using different instruments: Brunauer, Emmett & Teller (BET), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and thermalgravimetric analysis (TGA). The study revealed that shape, average particle sizes “35 to 550 nm”, average pore radius “1.62 - 4.5 nm” and surface area “350 - 1204 m 2 ∙g −1 ” of obtained mesoporous silica particles were altered based on precursor concentration and other factors.
