{"title":"The mechanism of “cool”/“hot” executive function deficit acting on the core symptoms of ADHD children","authors":"","doi":"10.3724/sp.j.1042.2023.02106","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.3724/sp.j.1042.2023.02106","url":null,"abstract":": Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a persistent neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity, which is closely related to the executive function deficits resulting from the dysplastic of prefrontal cortex. Based on the neuro-cognitive-behavioral developmental path, it is proposed that executive function deficits may be the pathogenesis of the core symptoms of ADHD at the cognitive level, among which the \"cool\" one related with the dorsal prefrontal cortex might be the dominant factor affecting inattention, and the “hot” one linked to the ventromedial prefrontal cortex could play the main role in the manifestation of hyperactivity-impulsivity. On the one hand, deficits in \"cool\" executive function mainly result in failures in working memory representation, lack of inhibitory control, and difficulties in cognitive flexibility, and further lead to limitations in attention maintenance, selection, and switching. On the other hand, deficits in \"hot\" executive function bring problems like delay aversion, reward abnormality and motivation disorders, which make one fail to inhibit behavior and more likely to make impulsive decisions, thereby displaying more symptoms of hyperactivity-impulsivity. Future studies are expected to examine and improve theoretical models of “hot” and “cold” executive function deficits affecting the core symptoms of ADHD, and provide more empirical evidence at the cognitive neural level. Meanwhile, future studies need to examine the mechanism mentioned above in ecological backgrounds, and further develop intervention projects with personalization, precision and long-acting to alleviate the core symptoms of ADHD based on executive function.","PeriodicalId":62025,"journal":{"name":"心理科学进展","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69747502","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, existing studies have ignored its modes, formation mechanism and impact on opportunity belief performance. Considering these issues, we deconstruct the modes of user perspective taking based on structural alignment theory and the attentional engagement model, and these modes include absorptive, inductive, heuristic and analytical user perspective taking. Then, from the dual perspective of the “individual-user”, we explore the positive effects of user-related prior knowledge, flexible role orientation, cognitive complexity, and the uncertainty and fragmentation of user needs on the formation of user perspective taking. Finally, taking the formation speed and innovativeness of opportunity beliefs as performance indicators, we explain the impact of the modes of user perspective taking on opportunity belief formation performance and examine the moderating effects of cognitive management strategies involving adaptation to new information environments and the invocation of the entrepreneur’s own knowledge structure on the modes of user perspective taking and opportunity belief formation performance. This study enriches the connotation of user perspective taking, extends the explanatory scope of structural alignment theory and the attentional engagement model, and provides a reference that can guide entrepreneurs to better identify opportunities by employing user perspective taking. It is of great significance for entrepreneurs to think about and understand users.","PeriodicalId":62025,"journal":{"name":"心理科学进展","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69738248","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Given that the cognitive neural mechanisms of procrastination are unclear and lack of causal evidences, we have developed studies on the basis of the time decision model of procrastination and the unified triple brain network model, using cognitive interventions and neural regulation technologies to construct and validate the cognitive neural model of procrastination. In addition, we intended to design precise interventions for procrastination as well. Our studies included three aspects: (1) From the perspective of recording and association research, we used multimodal MRI methods to systematically investigate the cognitive neural mechanisms of procrastination; (2) From the perspective of causal/near-causal research, we used cognitive interventions and neuroregulatory techniques to validate and improve the cognitive neural model of procrastination; (3) From the perspective of clinical application, we intended to establish a clinical screening and diagnosis system and precise interventions for procrastination behavior disorder. Thus, this study not only reaped important theoretical contribution to the exploration of the core cognitive neural mechanisms of procrastination, but also obtained practical significance for the effective prevention and precise treatments of procrastination.","PeriodicalId":62025,"journal":{"name":"心理科学进展","volume":"42 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69739501","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Such envy can elicit a range of experiences in these individuals, both positive and negative, which can in turn exert divergent effects on job performance and interpersonal dynamics. The existing body of literature lacks a robust, nuanced, and comprehensive examination and interpretation of these disparate research outcomes. Utilizing the dual perspective model of agency and communion, this study investigates the distinct effects of envy on self-perception, self-experience, and self-regulation. Moreover, it underscores the relative significance of agency and communion in discerning the applicable boundary conditions. By offering an exhaustive depiction of the experience of being envied, this research enhances our understanding of envy's overarching impact. Furthermore, it provides invaluable insights for future studies and affords organizations pragmatic interventions to manage the issue of envy towards their high-performing employees.","PeriodicalId":62025,"journal":{"name":"心理科学进展","volume":"48 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135361924","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
