Numerous tickets must be processed at the gates immediately to secure the smooth flow of passengers in Tokyo metropolitan area, where high frequent and mass transport is provided. The passengers, on the other hand, find importance of being free from the stresses buying tickets and adjusting fares. Suica was just an alternative ticket on JR East lines in Tokyo metropolitan area when it started. Supported by the passengers, Suica has expanded its available area in Tokyo metropolitan area and added new areas of Sendai and Niigata. Now IC card ticket systems have been introduced in other railway companies. Those companies and JR East accept IC card tickets each other. That is, Suica can be used in much wider areas. As the volume reaches a certain amount of transport cards, Suica is used in other functions. In particular e-money function shows remarkable growth to over 520 thousand a day (April 13, 2007). The development of Suica has focused on high performance and high reliability. The smartcards under standardization in ISO, however, could not satisfy the requirements, especially high performance. The gap between the requirements and the standard made it extremely difficult to procure the exact smartcards needed. Upon the recent procedure for international standardization of \"Interoperable Fare Management System,\" the past experiences encourage us to advocate implementing the users' needs into the standard. Finally we can contribute to the standardization incorporating the users' needs. This keynote introduces these cases and emphasizes the importance of standardization of technology according to users' needs.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82697116","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But SCA only focus on functional level service components. Considering a business system includes not only functional level components but also user interface and data level components, this paper presents a unified service composition framework to support business level service composition. This framework covers 3-layer composition, including functional, data, and user interface level service composition. An intelligent service composer based on this unified service composition framework is developed to enable business level service composition by business people under the help of some advanced technologies, including intelligent service components searching, automatic service compliance checking, and template-based service adaptation.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86070534","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As a step toward discovering equilibrium strategies, a new heuristic based on simple and intuitive methods is presented. The heuristic is evaluated using two different independently and uniformly distributed valuation models, one very general model where bidders bid on all combinations and one restricted model where bidders bid on one specific combination and single bids on the remaining items. Results yield natural explainable strategies with good characteristics based on comparisons of payoff, revenue and allocative efficiency.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89747247","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It provides efficient sharing of business information across internal departments, external vendors and suppliers. In the past few years, a lot of researchers attempted to extend the application of ERP to other business sectors like the construction industry, and recommended ways to implement the system successfully. Nevertheless, much of the studies were related to the desired system features only. None of them investigated the impact of human-related factors especially when applying the system in Chinese enterprises. This paper examines the impact of human-related and system-related factors affecting the successful implementation of an ERP system in a large Chinese construction company. Results show that human-related factors are more important. Administrators and users of the system were interviewed to identify methods to deal with the cultural clash embedded in ERP system and Chinese business culture.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82653746","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, in the audit profession, there is limited adoption of contemporary information technologies. Besides automating regular audit processes, which mainly involves streamlining the communications across different organizations (such as the client and its business partners), the monitoring of the overall process as well as exception handling is crucial to the process quality and responsiveness. In this paper, we apply our earlier framework of e-service enactment and enforcement for requirements elicitation and use the concept of alert management for process modeling, together with a Web service based implementation for data and process integration. We illustrate our approach to an Alert-driven Audit Management System (ADAMS) with a case study on the audit confirmation process, which requires the most automation of work.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89818577","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Defining all responsibility assignments for a directory can be challenging if situations need to be distinguished by many attributes and some of the attributes have many potential values. In this paper we present the stakeholder matrix, a compact representation of a situation-oriented directory that makes it easier for users to ensure the completeness and consistency of the assignments in the directory. Our evaluation showed that in a real world case the number of responsibility assignments could be compacted from 33700 to 128. We also review related research and show that compact representations similar to the stakeholder matrix will be useful to support validation of definitions in expert finding systems, content-based access systems and content-based routing systems.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84936049","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This involves recommendations and the trust evaluation on recommendations. The evaluation on the recommendations by the recommendation receiver depends on a few factors, which include the roles of the recommender in the domain of the target being recommended, the recognition of these roles by the recommendation receiver, and the recommendation reputation (trust) of the recommender. In this paper, we propose a novel role-based recommendation and trust evaluation framework (RBRTE), which takes the above factors into account.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"82525049","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Following the concepts of workflow-based process management, the major focus has been on service composition. Not surprisingly, this default composition approach suffers from the limitations of centralized workflow management. It is well recognized that a decentralized execution setting where composed services can establish P2P interactions, is central to the management of a wide range of ubiquitous, mobile, large-scale and secure business processes. A natural way to enable the decentralized execution is to implement the relevant distributed cooperating processes of a centralized process on composed services. In this way, composed services can establish P2P interactions following the semantics of their processes. In this paper, we present a generic approach that enables decentralized executions with such cooperating processes. Precisely, we present our method that derives the latter. We focus on the sophisticated control/data flow and conversational aspects that run counter to naive intuition, most of which, we explain using deeper analysis of the algorithms and data structures that we employed.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"79071180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

At the same time, new challenges are emerging along with outsourcing such as what are the right services that should be outsourced, how well these services get performed, what benefits outsourcing brings in, and so on. Thus, effective service governance and management mechanisms for both service outsourcers and service providers are essential to the success of outsourcing. However, current academic and industrial achievements cannot directly meet the requirements of governance in outsourcing. In this paper, a unified outsourcing governance framework not only for clients but also for providers is proposed, which provides a three-layer, three-perspective integrated governance model on three key dimensions of governance process, organizational structure, and measurement system. A typical call center outsourcing governance case study is illustrated to validate the framework. The future work and conclusion are discussed finally.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78863060","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper explores the requirements and challenges of the native multi-tenancy pattern which have the potential of serving a large volume of clients simultaneously. We provide a framework with a set of multi-tenancy common services to help people design and implement a high quality native multi-tenant application more efficiently. Due to the essential requirement to guarantee service quality with high share efficiency, we present approaches and principles to support better isolations among tenants in many aspects such as security, performance, availability, administration etc. We have already achieved many hand on experiences by applying parts of the design and principles into a real multi-tenant application, and identified some future research points to better safeguard the quality of service for each tenant.","PeriodicalId":58336,"journal":{"name":"电子商务评论","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2007-07-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88219234","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
