In 2001 the NHS recommended MEWS for general practice assessment. However, there are few studies on MEWS in general departments, and the specific application effect is still being explored. Therefore, this paper summarizes the application advantages, application methods and application effects of MEWS in general departments at home and abroad, so as to provide some theoretical basis for the development of MEWS in general departments. After summary, it was found that although MEWS evaluation indicators are simple and easy to obtain, and can facilitate the communication of medical conditions, MEWS has a poor ability to identify “potential critically ill patients” in general departments. The role of predicting the prognosis of patients in general departments remains to be explored. A large number of multi-center, large-sample and large-range studies are needed to provide a basis for the application of MEWS in general departments.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41913591","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In addition, patients with COPD are often passive in coping with health education. Empowerment theory emphasizes authorization for the patients, and gets them involved so as to improve the level of disease participation and disease management of them, just make up the current shortage. There are many foreign studies on the theory of empowerment about COPD, and the empowerment measurement tools are diversified. But there are fewer related researches in China. Therefore, this paper reviews the application of empowerment theory in COPD patients in terms of its definition, measuring tools, application in patients with COPD and influential factors affecting empowerment in patients with COPD in order to provide a new perspective for COPD research in China.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-06-28","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47959743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: A retrospective analysis of the complete clinical data of 340 patients undergoing in vitro fertilization embryo transfer in the Department of Reproductive Medicine, Jingzhou Central Hospital from September 2016 to July 2018. These patients were divided into group A and B according to the luteal support program. We compared the clinical outcomes of the two corpus luteum preparations by comparing the laboratory parameters of the two groups of patients with clinical pregnancy indicators. Results: We found there was no significant difference in the results of general conditions in the two groups of patients, such as infertility age and duration, body mass index (BMI), basal follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), basal luteinizing hormone (LH), basal estrogen (E2) levels, the endometrial thickness, the number of transplanted high-quality embryos on the day of transplantation and so on (P > 0.05). We found that the implantation rate (32.55%), biochemical pregnancy rate (53.57%), and clinical pregnancy rate (51.78%) in group B were significantly higher than those in group A (25.26%, 35.11%, and 34.66%, respectively) (P 0.05). Conclusion: We conclude that patients who are scheduled for frozen embryo transfer use progesterone vaginal sustained release capsules combined with luteal progesterone luteal support, have improved clinical pregnancy rates.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44656152","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Recent studies have suggested that the fruits rich in anthocyanins (ANC) were neuroprotective, and then could reduce the risk of PD. This study was designed to investigate the effects of the ANC rich blueberry extracts (BBE) on the behavior and the oxidative stress in the mouse model of PD induced by 1-methyl-4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridine (MPTP). After 3 weeks of BBE administration, we monitored the behavioral alterations and measured the level of dopamine (DA), enzymatic tyrosine hydroxylase (TH), non-enzymatic malonaldehyde (MDA), enzymatic superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-PX) in the brain and serum. Our results demonstrated that the behavioral impairment, the increased MDA level and the decreased SOD and GSH-PX activities in the MPTP-induced PD mice, were significantly attenuated by BBE administration (p < 0.05). This study suggested that anthocyanin-rich BBE should have neuroprotective effects through the anti-oxidative mechanisms.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41645602","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In such cases in absence of overt evidence of intrauterine infection at the time of diagnosis termination of pregnancy or expectant management is generally offered modality of treatment, the prior being commonly preffered. When expectant management is instituted, it is very rare that spontaneous resealing of the membranes occurs with the outcome that is equivocal to normal pregnancy. The presented case is an example of this rare happening. A 25-year-old, mangolian, primigravida at 20 weeks of pregnancy had spontaneous preterm premature rupture of membranes. After 8 days of expectant management, she had cessation of amniotic fluid leak and could continue pregnancy till term with normal feto-maternal outcome at 37 weeks of pregnancy. The risk of infection increases with prolongation of latency period but in this case, the latency period was prolonged for more than 16 weeks and there was no evidence of infection, with normal feto-maternal outcome at term. This is the first case of its kind happened in our hospital and deserves to be reported. It is expected that this article will reveal the possibility of resealing of spontaneous preterm premature rupture of membrane with proper expectant management.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"43224140","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The diagnosis is based on echocardiography demonstration of spongy myocardium. Here we report a case of 74 years old female patient diagnosed as an isolated left ventricular non-compaction with congestive heart failure, intramural thrombus and hypertension. There is no specific treatment for LVNC; therapeutic measures are directed towards the patient’s symptom (heart failure, arrhythmia and thrombotic events) and consideration of an implantable cardioverter defibrillator and cardiac transplantation.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"41648907","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, liver function of many liver cancer patients is impaired before surgery, so there’s a high possibility of occurrence of liver failure after the tumor resection. Therefore, it’s necessary to accurately evaluate liver function before surgery. Currently, clinical methods are mostly limited to assess the function of overall liver. But the application of hepatocyte-specific contrast agent—gadolinium ethoxybenzyl diethylenetriamine pentaacetic acid (Gd-EOB-DTPA) makes it possible to assess the function of local liver segment accurately. This paper reviewed the progress of using Gd-EOB-DTPA dynamic contrast enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to assess liver function preoperatively, such as parameters selection for liver function assessment, clinical factors affecting Gd-EOB-DTPA enhanced MRI and so on.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42366874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

According to the 2017 American college of cardiology (ACC)/American heart association (AHA) hypertension guidelines hypertension is defined as systolic BP is ≥130 mmHg or diastolic BP is ≥80 mmHg. BP should be lower than 130/80 mmHg in patient with CHD, CHF, after renal transplantation, diabetes mellitus and stroke. Recommended lifestyle modification included restriction of dietary sodium intake, weight loss if patient is overweight, regular exercise, moderate alcohol intake and increase consumption of potassium rich foods. The initial antihypertensive agent should be generally selected from one of the following four classes—thiazide diuretics, ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and calcium channel blockers, shown to reduce cardiovascular events. There are two interventional approaches—Renal Denervation and Baroreflex activation therapy, which are used in clinical practice for treatment of several treatment resistant hypertensions. Other interventional approaches are carotid body ablation and AVF placement but none of them prevent cardiovascular disease outcome or death in hypertensive patient.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47453717","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
