Current management strategies mainly involve surgical interventions. For treatment, options available are surgical and non-surgical, but the mode of management leans on several factors, such as severity of symptoms, patient’s age, myoma characteristics, desire to preserve uterus and fertility. Alternative approach to surgery for the treatment of symptomatic females with uterine myomas has been recognized. Ulipristal acetate (UPA) has been the first selective progesterone-receptor modulator (SPRM) approved for the pre-operative and long-term management of uterine fibroids. There are evidences promoting an important role for progesterone pathways in the pathophysiology of uterine fibroids which supports the use of ulipristal acetate. The availability of alternative choices to surgical in-tervention is very necessary especially for those willing to preserve uterus and fertility. One of the alternatives is with ulipristal acetate, which has been proven to treat fibroid symptoms effectively.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":"60 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"70903267","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are many articles which have been published on the genetic sequencing, pathology and other medical conditions associated with COVID-19, however, there are very few articles which acknowledge the psychological and behavioral aspects of front-line medical workers especially nurses. The purpose of the study is to understand the stressors, psychological behavior status and the correlation between psychological behavior and stressors for nurses who served in COVID-19 ward. The general information questionnaire, the nurse job stressor scale in Chinese, and the emergency public health incident questionnaire were used to survey 282 nurses in Jingzhou Central Hospital who supported COVID-19 ward. The result shows that the average work stress of nurses in this study was 1.40 ± 0.54 points. The top 3 dimensions were conceptual stress (1.67 ± 0.68), working environment stress (1.57 ± 0.60), and occupational hazard stress (1.57 ± 0.66). With different marital status, the average scores of stress are different, and the difference is statistically significant (t = 2.139, P = 0.034). For nurses in COVID-19 ward who faced sudden public health crisis, the self-evaluated psychological score of nurses in COVID-19 ward averages 1.40 with a deviation of 0.54. In our study, fear had the highest influence on psychological behavior, while the lowest was the compulsive-anxiety factor. There was a positive correlation between the stressor scores and the psychological behavior scores (P < 0.01). The conclusion is that the pressure of nurses supporting COVID-19 ward is under moderate pressure, and the psychological behavior is moderately responded with a few nurses having psychological behavior deviation.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"49184413","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

To relieve the suffering, some patients choose esophageal speech training. However, most of the current researches focus solely on the results of the training with the negligence of the patients’ mental health and their life experience during the training. A qualitative research is highly sensitive to patients’ subjective feelings, and thus able to capture their subtle emotional changes. Objective: To explore deeply patients’ real experiences of esophageal speech training after total laryngectomy and reveal the public their training experience of the unique and special group. Methods: In May 2018, researchers conducted a two-month field observation on and in-depth interviews with 15 patients who were on esophageal speech training after total laryngectomy in the esophageal speech training room of the Eye and ENT Hospital of Fudan University. The research applied phenomenological research method and Colaizzi Data Analysis. Results: The data analysis indicated four main themes: changes of mindset; showing positive attitudes and behaviors in training; shift in social relations; and arduous training process. Conclusion: The study has the finding that patients on esophageal speech training had negative emotions in the early stage of the training and dissatisfaction with its teaching. The repercussion of the surgery brought them changes of social relations, social bias and prejudice ensued. It is, therefore, urgent and crucial to give the speech trainees psychological counseling in the early stage to improve their qualities of life, to mobilize social support to incentivize their training, to optimize esophageal speech training teaching, and to regulate the management of the esophageal speech training environment.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42331264","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Methods: A total of 70 patients with severe peptic ulcer bleeding were selected as the research objects, randomly divided into observation group and control group, 35 cases for each. The nursing risk management and conventional nursing management were implemented for the two groups, respectively. The success rate of hemostasis, average length of stay, cure rate, complication rate, dyspnea rate, nursing dispute rate, SAS score, and SDS score were compared between the two groups. Patients’ satisfaction with nursing quality was also compared. Results: After the implementation of two different nursing management methods, all the above-mentioned metrics were better in the observation group than in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). Conclusion: The application of nursing risk management in the nursing intervention process of patients with severe peptic ulcer bleeding can effectively reduce the probability of nursing risk events, increase the cure rate, shorten the patient’s hospital stay, but also improve the patients’ psychological state and increase the patient’s satisfaction with nursing quality, which is worth clinical promotion.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46061180","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Chemotherapy is the most commonly used treatment, but it has a lot of side effects due to its toxicity. It has been found that ginsenosides exert an effective antitumor role. Ginsenosides are a class of triterpenoid saponins primarily found in the plant genus Panax. Many monomer components are studied, the most often investigated are Rg3, and Rh2, etc. Reports have shown that ginsenosides can inhibit tumor cells by suppressing proliferation and metastasis, and promoting apoptosis. In addition, ginsenosides can enhance sensitivity to conventional chemotherapeutic drugs. In this review, the recent articles about anti-tumor of ginsenosides were reviewed to promote the further development of anti-tumor therapy.","PeriodicalId":57748,"journal":{"name":"长江医药(英文)","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-15","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42539619","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
